Youth Pastor Scott Curtis took orders from a carpenter. Curtis, 36, and more than 100 teenagers from around the country repaired 14 low-income houses in Hampton Roads last week. “We are just out here trying to give glory to God,” Curtis said, smiling. The home repairs were made by teens participating in a work camp sponsored by the Peninsula Baptist Association. Each year campers work on home improvement projects like installing drywall, landscaping, painting and cleaning. About a dozen campers are planted at each work site. Curtis said up to 20 campers can visit a site if a homeowner has a long list of repairs.
