Ground Zero mosque: spate of terror plots fueling fears
Several proposed Islamic centers, including one near Ground Zero, have touched off a heated nationwide debate that raises questions about the state of religious tolerance in post-9/11 America. A planned mosque and Islamic center, just a stone’s throw away from the World Trade Center site, even prompted Sarah Palin to send a series of Twitter posts Sunday asking peace-seeking Muslims to “pls reject it in the interest of healing.”
Prior to 9/11 not many NYers or Americans were aware or cared about Mosques being built. We are a nation of religious freedom and obvoiusly they weren't causing any problems. After 9/11 it was an eye opener to find out what they truly believed in. While the MSM has down played and at times ignored this issue, Americans are finding out about this so called "religion" Many feel they are being fed a falsehood concerning this religion. They are against women, gays, American way of life, and peace. Their object is to take over this country. With all due respect our politians have gotten this wrong and there should be no Mosque that close to Ground Zero. Losing 40 Muslims while a terrible thing is not like losing 3,000. No lives should have been lost. Maybe they are used to terror and causing destruction but 9/11 changed my life forever and while I hope to someday forgive them (as my religion teaches me) I will never forget it or what they did to my city. This is a pure case of "religious freedom" vs "religious tryanny" My answer would be to build one next to the UN. They will welcome them.

Too many liberal politicians/judges are ammending the constitution to feed their own agenda.
A mosque on or near ground zero is a slap in the face to all of America, and the person responsible for letting it happen should be brought up for treason.
-Guy BrigidaI note the comments about conservative talk shows and bigots, etc., etc. And the priest's comments! Referring to the Muslims who died, "Why shouldn't they have a mosque?" That's one the builders hadn't thought of! Demonizing dissenters and deflecting the conversation is working less and less these days and the enemies of our country realize it, which is why are they are more brazen than ever in moving their agenda forward. I believe many mosques across the country are already being used to gin up anti-Americanism among the faithful, but to what degree is probably unknown.
-Jerry EricksonAll I needed to know about Islam I learned on 9/11/01. A religion of hate, note peace, the word Islam means "submit" in Arabic, check ot out for yourself. The Quran has many passages that demand the Islamist kill Jews and Christians. Islam is the Beast of Revelation.

If the worse I ever became in life is a bigot then I have lived a true Christian existance. If we were to attempt to build a church in Mecca we would be stoned or worse. Like James said, if christians or jews or budhist or anyone would try and defy the holy site of Mecca…which incidentally was built to memorialize the battle won there as most every mosque is…they would be viciously attacked in the name of allah. …THERE IS A JIHAD. so why do we want more Muslim Radicals here….They all believe that they need to kill the christians and jews.

-auntibushI have to say that I can agree with most of what is said. I too am upset with that idea, being put into action, the building of the muslims' mosque, to me is like their 'trophy' for what they have accomplished, and as a Christian I am not happy about that. They need to be prayed for for their salvation, and to know that there is only One Savior, and that is Jesus Christ the Lord, and that there is no other. To have so many of other faiths, or religions in this country that want to 'take' over is a very sad day indeed. To know how this country started should be made real to all who enter as immigrants, and that you should be well aware that our Founding Fathers looked to GOD for protection. He did provide that but when a country begins to turn their back on God, and not depend on Him as they could, i.e. obey His Word, then guess what He does ! That should be a strong lesson to all patriotic Christian Americans. We as a nation may not all be Christian, but when you look at the Constitution, and the many who were involved with it's foundational documents, you should know how many actually did look to the Savior for Guidance and help, and these days, we do have some who are still doing that, but it is not like it use to be. So we are paying the price for what we are not doing as we should be. Get your BIBLES out read what happened to the Jewish nation, of Israel, and see how many times they failed God, and how many times He didn't help them because they didn't observe His Word as they were told to do so. We as Americans can learn a lot of lessons there if we would only apply His Word as we should. I share this because we need to know this and remember it as a NATION .
-Mrs. James ClemonsWhat I first noticed about the above picture, is that most of the seats in that auditorium are vacant. That in itself is deplorable. Those seats should have been filled to overflowing with Americans who realize that Islam has declared war on America and the Americans in their actions on 9/11 and we, in this Country have no need nor desire to coddle and cater to our enemy. That, people is the bare bones truth! We didn't start this. But if this Nation is going to survive, we had best be ready to end it.
How many times did God lead the Israelites into war? We Christians serve the same God and the Jewish Messiah as well. Praise Jesus for his sacrifice on our behalf and for his victory in rising from the grave. We are most likely going to need to follow this same God into war again and with mostly the same people that Israel did centuries ago.

I stumbled across this spot as i was doing some fact finding for work and I've been attempting to get the entire article to load but it is very odd barely roughly fifty pct of the article is coming up for me. I have to refresh the pages on this blog a lot to get your whole post. Could it be this the internet site hosting or my internet explorer. I've attempted posting this several times although it doesn't seem to be coming up within the comments. Do you think I need to kill and reload my web browser?
