With government healthcare looming on the horizon, it is time to seek out alternative solutions. As a member of Samaritan, you can know that your money isn’t funding evils such as abortion or embryonic stem cell research.

    • My husband and I are on Medicare Advantage and I think it is an outrage that after we paid into Medicare and Social Security that Harry Reid took all the money out of the accounts and spent it on anything and everything and might have embezzled some of it. He does have $10, Million for campaigning, so where did this money come from? I do not trust any of these evil people in the WH. As many lies, lies, and more lies, backroom deals, government takeover (Obamacare) and all the other things they have tryed to ram down our throats. All of the American people do not want any of this and we are so sick at our stomachs that I am looking for an uprising and then I'm afraid it is going to be bad. If you think Greece was bad, I think it is just a drop in the bucket to how the American people will react to these scumbags. They have no right taking our Medicare and Social Security and I was told that 49, thousand American will not even get Insurance nor treatment and I think Obama and his evil WH want the senior citizens to die so that he can bring his Muslim brothers to the US so he can be their president. We are going to have to stand up for ourselves because I don't think the Lord wants us to sit around and do nothing while Obama and his clan take our Day of Prayer away from us and then to have the nerve to go to a foreign country and say we were't a Christian nation and then gave them money. That is grounds for Treason because Obama isn't suppose to say anything to other countries about people of the US nor should they be given money and he gave three different countries money. The first one was Greece, Pakistan, Mexico, and it is very hard for me to understand why Obama would be giving all this money to these foreign countries that hate us. All of these are Treason issues and should be carried out.

  4. I'm afraid your pages are so difficult to navigate that many times it seems impossible to find the text of the article one is supposed to be reading. Any chance that can be fixed?

  12. Sounds all holy and wonderful. We have medicare Advantage, pay no premium, pay a set amt. when we go to the doctor or specialist. We are Catholic and willnot join some church to get 'insurance' coverage. Sounds like a 'pyramid scheme' to me! If we are sending money to diffarent people each month, how do we pay our BILLS? We only have Medicare, a part time job, and maybe his unemployment, if it is reinstated. There is no way we can pay other peoples medical bills. We are paying two hospitals now our co-pays, and one hospital has sicked a collection agency on us for less than 175.00!!! If he has to go in for any more surgery; we will be up a creek. I have been putting off orthopedic surgery and female surgery, because we cannot afford it and probably the insurance co. won't approve them!

  13. This all sounds perfect. We're all helping each other which is right. But,the government is determined to delve into our lives and that will be trouble. Obama's healthcare plan is going to be forced on everyone and despite what anyone says there will be a hefty fine on those who don't take his healthcare. I have already heard of Drs not taking Medicad patients. Obama plans on cutting funding to Medicare and Social Security. With all that's going on I personally plan to just take a wait and see attitude. If we have to pay high premiums for Obama's insurance that may determine what we can afford to do. I am praying that somehow his plan gets tossed aside somewhere and we can do this type of 'Insurance' where we are all helping each other. Who says we need government anyway?

  14. Please visit samaritanministries.org to find out more about our health care sharing ministry. We are one of three in the U.S. Samaritan Ministries has operated since 1994. We have more than 15,000 member households, with members in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and several U.S. territories, as well as U.S.-based members who are missionaries in foreign countries. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, with our Form 990s available through the IRS and Guidestar and our annual audits available upon request. Members of Samaritan Ministries commit to sending a monthly share to another member household that has submitted medical needs that meet agreed-to guidelines. They also must pay a $170 per year fee to remain members. Any share increases must be approved by 60 percent of members voting. The cost of being a Samaritan member household is $170 per year, which helps us pay for our operating expenses and salaries. Monthly shares, depending on the size of your household and your age (those under 26 and over 65 get discounts), range from $99 to $320. For more information, check out our guidelines at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15128/SMI_Guidelines.pdf or give us a call at 888-268-4377.
