There was one thing more than any other that turned this New York, liberal, Jewish, Columbia University graduate student from modern liberalism. It was its use of moral equivalence to avoid confronting evil during the Cold War. There was a time when liberalism was identified with anti-Communism; the liberal-led Korean and Vietnam Wars were examples. But the Vietnam War led liberals into the arms of the left, which had been morally confused about communism since its inception and had become essentially pacifist following the carnage of World War I.

This Smiley person is really pulling at straws to make Christians look bad. If he wants to say what was done 200 years ago he should also study history and find that Nazis did more. As far as today goes it seems that most of the killing that goes on involving a number of people is an illegal or someone who orginally came from another country and was not necessairly of the Christian faith. He's speaking without checking things.

If the media equated Christian and Muslim violence, they should have watched Glenn Beck today (8/31). They would have a chance to see the difference between how Christians react (love, peace, honesty, integrity, no violence) as opposed to Muslims (cut off a head, stone the woman, blow up the Twin Towers). Christians must continue to show love and peace toward one another. There is a group in Florida who want to have a Koran burning. That is not right and is not Christian. There are some Christians who are just as bad as some Muslims. There are some Muslims that are just as good as some Christians. So please, let us unite and be a peaceful nation and be bold in our way of life. That's what Jesus expects from us. Our God is an awesome God!

The difference in Christian and muslim violence is mohammed/allah not only condoned killing but requires it…. The Christian god of Abraham and jesus do not and condemn it..

If people knew that allah is not the god of Abraham maybe then they might understand why muslims are required to kill…If they do not learn this fact soon you can kiss civilization goodbye…unless Jesus returns..

The impotent comparison between "supposed" Christian and Muslim atrocities, is mind-numbing. In recent history…perhaps since the 1960s…most mass muderers did NOT commit their acts in "the name of GOD." However, especially since 9/11, the jihadists have been running rampant in their egregious acts of terrorism, in "the name of Allah." The fact that the Mainstream Media, which is in the pocket of, not only the President, but the Progressive far-left, spread incorreoct informationnn and put their "spin" on the news to make their lackeys look good, are NOT telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. This little old lady would rather lose her head than bow to the Muslim religion, which is what we are ALL facing if Islamic terrorists get their way. Be afraid…be VERY afraid. Our Chrtistian FAITH is being TESTED. We are about to FIND out what we BELIEVE AND WHO WE REALLY ARE. Just like the recent Restoring the Honor Rally, asks Who are we as AMERICANS??? The crowd of 500,000 PROVED itself with not ONE ARREST! Beck Chose Martin Luther King Jr. Day because of a man's CHARACTER of who he truly WAS, the crowd PROVED that POINT. We are about TRUSTING a man's CHARACTER not the color of his skin. THAT is the reason the rally was SUCCESSFUL, because the people were UNITED in the LOVE of JESUS, and prayerfully sought GOD'S HELP and WILL. Beck was even emotionally "surprised" what GOD WAS DOING at that Rally, NOT what GLENN BECK WAS DOING OR HAD DONE… It is called the BLESSINGS of GOD, which America has taken for GRANTED for the last 50 years of our 234 year EXISTENCE. It took me personally going to China, for the Holy Spirit to REMIND me of my lack of GRATITUDE. I did not come close to knowying what faith was all about or have a truly, grateful heart. God does not want us to have the spirit of fear but FAITH!!! He is allowing political things to 'happen" to find out WHO WE REALLY ARE AS AMERICAN CHRISTIANS…..Matt.28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples ot ALL the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you ALWAYS, even to the end fo the age. That is the difference between the Muslims and Christians…….we do it in LOVE, they do it by the SWORD. We are to LOVE the people, and hate the deceiving spirit and religion that has deceived the Muslim people. I would encourage you to read any of Brigette Gabreil or Mark Gabriel's books…They are no relation to one another. They have put their lives on the line to tell we American people, first hand KNOWLEDGE WE NEED TO KNOW & UNDERSTAND as Christians, about the Muslim people and Islam. By the way, their prayer & fasting of Ramadan will end on Sept. 10th this year….Their "NIGHT OF POWER", in which Allah GRANTS them their desire to kill we infidels, etc. This date changes every year. This is the only one that has come CLOSE to our 9-11 date. Maybe we need to FAST & PRAY on this one!!!!!!!I IN GOD WE STILL TRUST and May GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS AMERICA as we CRY OUT FOR HIS MERCY!!!!!!!

Ruth, I completely agree with you! You have an understanding of the Muslim religion & Quran that most Christians do NOT. We have Muslim authors who have become Christians, who have put their LIVES ON THE LINE to WARN AMERICANS about the Islamic religion. That is COURAGE!, Only with God's protection will they stay alive, because when they renounce Islam, they are to be killed. It is a major rule of the Quran. My concern right now is Ramadan and the Night of Power, in which Allah grants their wishes of killing the infidels, which is the last day of their month of fasting and prayer. It is a different date every year. This year it falls on Sept. 10, one day off our 9-ll. I believe that there is a very well ORGANIZED MUSLIM ATTACK being planned for AMERICA…… Maybe Christians need to "learn" to fast and pray because I truly believe that our Christian FAITH is about to be TESTED! We are about to FIND OUT WHO WE REALLY ARE AND WHAT WE TRULY BELIEVE!!!!!! May God continue to BLESS AMERICA, as we CRY OUT FOR HIS MERCY!!!!!
