The controversy surrounding the removal of a Christian flag from the town’s Veteran’s Memorial is helping Gullion’s Christian Supply Center — so many people have bought Christian flags that the store has ordered 300 more to satisfy demand. Michael Lane, an employee of the store, on South Main Street, said yesterday that he expects to receive the additional flags from a distributor in North Carolina by today. The customers, mostly King residents, have bought most of the store’s supply of small and large Christian flags since the King City Council decided last week to remove the flag from the memorial in Central Park.
