Proverbs also teaches us that God gives kingdoms to whom He chooses, so that means, clearly, God gave Obama his position. It is also clear that sometimes God gives us rulers to punish us (King Saul for example). We as citizens need to repent from our apathy, our greed, our own lack of trust in God. I'm not so interested in Mr. Obama appologizing as I am in his repentance as well. I am also interested in working hard and praying hard that Mr. Obama and his ilk will not remain in their position of authority, but that God will give us leaders who truly do respect God and His authority in their lives and strive to maintain a relationship with Him. That's the key: it isn't about "religion" or even idiology, it's about relationship.

I have an 8 yr daughter i am unable to work due to a turmor in my right scapula area of my back (already had 5 back surgeries) shoulder surgery and now need neck surgery for c2 joint has to do with artery's and need more back surgery. I have fibromyagia (severe) and migranes and blackouts from my neck. migranges are so bad my husband had to black out our bedroom to solid black. looking at me you cannot tell anything is wrong but i am in so much pain going on 17 i have to find reasons to stay here and not put a bullet through my head. it feels like a sledge hammer. I just got on medicaid and i feel bad in a way but my husband lost his job good paying job 18 an hour to a temp job in factor making 10.50 an hour only income for all of us 3. our 2 dogs and 4 cats we have had since their birth.they are like our children. -ANNY.There are people out there that DON'T want to work. I have seen examples. There was a woman on welfare who said she tried working once and didn't like it, so now she doesn't work. She is on welfare, food stamps, has a LCD TV, a car and a roof over her head, all paid for the taxpayer. Yet she sits and complains. Another was a woman in Florida who had 4+ children. She went to an emergancy room, was nicely dressed, earings, cell phone etc. on welfare. What I would like to know is how can they afford a car, cell phone, all the + things in life and can't afford to put food on their table. The more kids they have the more money they get. I have seen people at the food stamp building who had to have food stamps and got them, yet they were driving Cadolacs, and LIncolns. There are some who need and I have no problem with helping someone get back on their feet, but I will not help someone who refuses to get a job and help themselves. It is one thing to help someone who needs it, and another to give to someone won't even try to help themselves. I am sick and tired about the "Race" card. This has nothing to do with it. I don't care if they are green. God helps those who help themselves, OB is taking out of context and also from the old testiment, we live by the New Testiment, not the old. God is love and Jesus will walk with you anywhere and protect you. You must follow his teachings and believe.

In other words, a person must be born of God by the Spirit of God before understanding of the Word of God can come to him.
Jn. 3:3, 'Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again,m he cannot see the kingdom of God.'
Nicodemus came to Jesus and said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" 5) Jesus answered, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he canot enter the kingdom of God.' The next verse goes on to explain this one. A person is born of flesh and then to receive Jesus as Savior one must be born of the Spirit. Without the Spirit of God the Word of God will seem just like any other book to a person.
John 3:16, 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him (the Son) should not perish but have everlasting life.' Romans 10:9-10. That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10) For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.' Well I don't know if this is too many days late to get on or not, but I hope it will encourage someone.
