I am thankful that so many of you read and commented on my article Positively Discouraging K-Love from last week. Even if you don’t agree with me, at the very least we are talking about issues that are important to all of us for one reason or another.

I have studied your comments and have found that, in terms of criticism, they fall into two broad categories: those who have a problem with my assessment of Christian radio, and those of you who object to my characterizing Catholicism as a false religion. I’d like to address these over the next two weeks, starting with Christian music this week.

There were two main critiques in this area:

1.     The article was mean, judgmental, and divisive.

2.     Complaining about an all-positive message is inappropriate.

Before I get into these issues, let me make one foundational point.
