Aletheia Christian Academy’s 17 juniors have left their mark on the Habitat for Humanity house they are helping build on North Baylen Street.

Scriptures from Romans 8:28 and Proverbs 24:3 are written on posts in the living room and a bedroom.

“The verse from Proverbs is one of my favorites,” Nathan Simpson, Student Government Association vice president, said, after helping hang a door Wednesday. “It related to what we are doing because you want a house to have a firm foundation.”

This is the 10th year the school’s juniors have helped build a Habitat house. On Wednesday afternoon, seniors attended the dedication for a house they worked on last year on Ryan Avenue that went to Shavon Crocker, 30.
