A California teen has filed suit against his former high school for suspending him after he brought his Bible to school and shared his faith with his fellow students.
Teenager Kenneth Dominguez had a life-changing experience when he came to Christ during the 2009 Christmas break. But when he returned to Gateway East High School in January and began telling other students about his Christian faith, conflict resulted.
“He was warned by the school not to do that; the administration said ‘don’t.’ He continued to share his faith during lunch time — not preaching, not yelling or anything, but just sharing his faith one-on-one — and they [warned] him again and again,” accounts Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute (PJI). Finally, says the attorney, the school “wrote him up…disciplined him and also decided to punish him by suspending him for two days.”
