Dave Tyson says he was astonished to receive his Elections Canada voter information card and read there will be advance polling on Good Friday.

“This truly shows a lack of respect by our government when it selected May 2 for the election,” Tyson said in a letter to the Free Press.

“By law, the date of April 22 has to be respected for advance polling, but the date to vote could have been set to May 9, thus avoiding an election over the important Easter holiday.

“This is just another slap in the face to all Christians in this country, and it’s time we stood up and let them know we will not put up with it.”
