I agree with you completely, Rebecca! As God-fearing, family-loving Americans we need to contact our so-called representives in Washington and on a State level and insist on a marriage amendment. I tried, a few years ago, to get my Senator to propose a marriage amendment and she told me that Doma was in place and that was all we needed! Well, we know that is not true.
Then, we can no longer afford to sit back and let someone else do the work. We have to be politically aware and hold the feet of our town governments, our State legislators and those in Washington, who are working for us, to the fire. If we don't do this we are going to lose our freedoms and our country. People, such as this group, are more than likely living off the taxpayer, while we work, so they have the time for this foolishness! We have to be more aggressive, than they are, in protecting our moral foundation.

This is what we're dealing with folks. Some of them can get a whole lot meaner than just throwing glitter around. I learned that first hand when I was a teen. Many of them have no repect for anyone and don't care who you are, when they want what they want. Right then and there someone should have called the police when the glitter was coming out. I don't hate them, but I don't like their lifstyle, nor them trying to change me because I don't go along with them. And believe me there is a time coming that God may do a lot more than just talk to them if they don't change…or at least try to.

What is interesting is no one is discussing the evidence that states that a high percentage of homosexual men are victims of pedofelia. Most little boys, who have been raped, state that the man made them gay in interviews after the incidence. It is an interesting topic. The rest of the percentage of homosexual gay men claim growing up in a single parent household with their mother. In this instance, the interviewees claimed that they highly identified with their mother never having male role models in their life. Not to add fire to the flame burning here, but it is interesting research and intelligent adults should be able to discuss this. If this is the case, then homosexuals are victims that need help dealing with being raped and encouraging them to remain in this lifestyle is an unhealthy way for them to deal with their victimization. Remaining in the lifestyle would be a constant reminder of their victimization. In the case of the single parent female household, it seems from the research that there is role confusion and boys naturally model the behavior of the head of the house based on little boys mental wiring. There is no website for this research because this is academic research and not hearsay, but I would encourage all to become familiar with this because we are seriously in danger of harming this group of people by not understanding the truth of what is going on. True there have been gays from the beginning of time, but no one asks the question why. They just perpetuate the lie that they are born that way. The research for this statement has overwhelming disproved this position so there must be another reason and we all should find out for the well being of these folks. It is as if we are all watching from the street a house burn with a little child in it, but no one bothers to save the child for fear it is the child's right to burn.

Interesting topic. I know of a gay mand in Edmonton, AB, now long dead of aids. He was a professional and very gracious. He could charm toe socks off a woman, yet never touched one!       I attended a Methodist Church when I was growing up.
      
      Of course it is mental gymnastics. You accept the passages you believe are consistent and ignore the passages you cannot reconcile. When the passage says something that does not make sense, you mutter it does not actually mean what it says. My favorite is when Christians claim you have to be a believer in order to understand. Which is hright of mental gymnastics. When someone points to a passage that is difficult to explian, you simply smile and say, "well, if you believed it would make sense." Which, of course, is a complete dodge and shows that the passage makes no sense at all.
      
      There are people who spend their entire lives studying the bible, have read every passage a hundred times, and they cannot agree on what the verses mean. They study the verses in Hebrew and Greek and still cannot agree on what the passages mean. So, please spare me your silliness about needing to read it all to understand. If that is all it took, then the experts would agree on the meanings.

Chris, the actual quote is "Love the Lord your God with all of your heart and mind and love your neighbor as yourself." I know a lot of very loving Christian people who walk the walk. Unfortunately, there are people who say hateful things about other's lifestyles. That isn't Christianity, it's hate – the same kind of hate exhibited by radical individuals who believe it is their right to force their lifestyle upon society.

Not agreeing with someone or speaking up because our healthy, family oriented lifestyle is under attack is not hatred, either. It is our right as Americans.

If someone is born with his defective sex organ that renders him or her incapable matrimonial (sexual) relationship with opposite gender, cannot marry or remains physically unfit for marriage. The biblical fact is that when angels came to Lot's home in Sodom, the aggressive, lust driven homosexuals had no perception of who they were dealing with and would have molested them if they could have. They were struck blind by the angels who could have as easily struck them dead. Gorden, I know the passage quit well and they did have their chance to change and apparently didn't want to. And if they could have, they would have tried to have sex with the angels. But, they were struck blind so lot and his family were safe. And yes, God could well have allowed the angels to kill them right there and then, but he didn't. But soon after he had to. IMHO, when one reads in the Bible the words "Love thy neighbor as thyself", they would be wise to heed the advice. As the same Bible also says "No man (person) has ever yet hated their own flesh (themselves)." Stated differently, if one truly cares about where they will be spending eternity, they should care just as much about where those who knowingly and willingly reject what the Word of God says, will be spending eternity.
That being said, we who belong to God, are only called (commanded) to share the truth of the Gospel with them. Once we have done so, we are no longer accountable for their decision. Should they choose to reject the Gospel, we are to "shake off the very dust off our feet as a testimony against them".(Another way of saying "we wash our hands of the situation".) This isn't to say that the Holy Spirit can't still work in their life and convict them, but that's entirely up to God. Remember, God is patient, but only to a point. Sodom and Gomorrah are [probably] the two most well known examples of this fact.

Guy, you left out some important qualifiers. The Bible does not say we can pray and God will heal our land. It says "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Our sins are many, and our methods of justifying them (instead of repenting and turning from them) are numerous. Often when we pray we talk down to God as if He is so stupid He doesn't know what to do unless we instruct Him, or we act as if God is so selfish He won't do what is right unless we get many people begging Him to change His mind and do what we want, or we pray as if God is blind and does not see our true motives in what we ask, and so on. Four other suicides over the last year in the same school district, Anoka-Hennepin, were also linked to “a pervasive atmosphere of anti-gay hostility.”

It’s hard to imagine a school environment so toxic to lesbian and gay youth that it could lead five students to take their own lives — until hearing about Anoka-Hennepin's district-wide “neutrality” policy on homosexuality, which allows anti-gay bullying to go virtually unchecked.

In this 40,000-student school district, the “neutrality” policy bans faculty and staff from discussing sexual orientation or recognizing homosexuality — effectively a “gag” rule that officially marginalizes gay students and licenses bullying.

Petition signer Baiba Olinger, who taught at Anoka-Hennepin district schools for 33 years, said, “I feel we have gone backwards in our policy towards LGBT students. How can ‘being neutral’ work? Can I be ‘neutral’ on someone being female or black?”

Right now, administrators and faculty are standing by as students are bullied and even beaten. One teen dropped out after being attacked and called a “faggot” in front of teachers and classmates who did nothing to intervene.

Gay youth are left with the choice of attending school under miserable conditions or leaving – and some are becoming so depressed they take their own lives, as Justin Aaberg did.

Justin’s mother says, "I had no clue that in a school they would have a climate like this and be okay with it.”

In no way do I demean or lessen the wrongs you portray here; but I will convey that in my high school days, 6 classmates committed suicide. all of them under the age of 16. None of them were homosexuals though. Some had been labeled as 'slow', 'stupid' and lazy. Some were not as 'athletic' as others and they drew taunts from the 'jocks'. anyone who appears 'different' was subject to ridicule and harassment.What we are dealing with, I believe, is not a homophobic sentiment, but a behavior vs discipline dilemma. Behaviors in a school setting must have boundaries and there must be a disciplinary structure in place, in which bad behavior is addressed. Somewhere along the line in public schools (as well as some parochial schools) we have lost the ability and/or desire to curb bad behaviors. We read almost weekly of the outcomes of that apathy. Our kids deserve better.

Bullying of any kind should not be permitted at school and society should certainly frown upon it and do what it can to stop bullying. It is also clear that homosexuality is a choice. A person is born female and a person is born black. There are many former-homosexuals, but I don't know of any former black people! There have been many studies done to determine whether a person is born a homosexual, and there is not one shred of evidence that a person is born homosexual. It has been proven that just prior to birth, there is what is called a 'testosteren bath;" too little or too much creates lesbians/homosexuals. Furthermore, there are children born with partial or complete genitalia of both genders. You do not know all the circumstances for each individual; what will become of them on judgement day is between God and that person; you just may be surprised about how forgiving our Lord and Master can be. The most Christian point of view one can make is demonstrating the desire to reach everyone with the Gospel of salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus the Christ alone. Romans 1:27-32 indicates two things: first, it is God who judges who is and who is not a homosexual and when He makes such a judgment, it is because of what is completely lacking in their heart toward God. Only God can know this. Thereafter, second, God releases them to work out the desires of their "reprobate mind". Homosexuality begins in the heart and soul and when it spreads to the point where the mind becomes altered such that the person wants nothing more to do with God, God then cuts them loose to live their proud, vaunted "lifestyle", the description of which follows in Romans 1:29-32.

Barbaric? Indeed. Not merely in the thoughts and intents of the heart, but "in deed". Romans 2 tells Christians not to judge such people for it says that we "have done the same things" (Romans 1:29-32). Be warned, though: the passage goes on to note that since God has done the work of judging an individual in Romans 1:27 & 28, while for a time in this life it appears that evil men may run rampant, there will be eternal retribution, for Romans 1:28 indicates that these people are not Believers into Jesus the Christ.

The term, "homosexual community" is a term that obscures the real situation. Should we speak of the "adultery community", or the "pyromaniac community" or the "kleptomaniac community"? The definition of "barbarian" is as follows:

Mercy triumphs over judgment – all Christians must pray for God's mercy to be magnified to return people to God for His good pleasure! As a secondary benefit hopefully these militant sinners will repent & wreck less havoc, but that should not be our primary motive to pray for their salvation. God wants sinners to become His children, since unsaved people are not the sons of God but are estranged from Him. The Bible is clear that Christians will face increasing persecution in the latter days so this should surprise no one, and all must understand that far worse things are yet to come.

We can choose to look either at despair, or look to God for his protection, love, mercy, and miracle of salvation for each & every sinner brought to repentance. There is no shortage of sin in this world to decry, but Christians must first & foremost be crying out to God for salvation to happen and cry out to this world God's love expressed in His Son Jesus.

Let's not get our eyes overly fixed on this world's problems since they're not worthy of excess attention, but keep our eyes fixed upon Jesus, the author & perfecter of our faith!
