Carrie Underwood and her hockey star husband Mike Fisher share many things in common with their celebrity status. But their strongest bond might be their deep Christian faith.

Fisher is releasing a new book next month called “Defender Of The Faith”. In an interview with Belief.net Fisher talks about how that deep faith helps him keep a positive attitude.

You may ask why Fisher would want to write a book with the hectic schedule he keeps and here’s what he had to say about that: “I’ve always enjoyed working with kids, whether it be hockey school, things like that, and I just thought it would kind of be neat to start there with a book for kids. I think kids need role models. I needed role models when I was growing up and I ran into a lot of different people and that’s what helped me. And I thought, why not? I’d like to help some other kids if possible.”
