Planned Parenthood Charged with Destruction of Evidence

A preliminary hearing over a criminal case against a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Kansas was postponed on Monday. Judge Stephen Tatum delayed the hearing because evidence crucial to the prosecution was destroyed, and he set a status conference for Nov. 9.

Last week, news broke that under former Gov. Kathleen Sebelius’ administration, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment destroyed original 2003 abortion reporting forms sometime in 2005.

Then-Attorney General Phill Kline subpoenaed the documents in 2004 during his investigations of the non-reporting of child sex abuse and illegal late-term abortions. The facility, located in Overland Park, a Kansas City suburb, is facing 107 charges, including 23 felony counts of falsifying documents.

  1. Destruction of evidence should be regarded as admission of guilt. Unlike pleading the fifth, this is obstruction of justice.

    • I agree. File charges and close them. Do not allow any of those employees to work in the industry again.

      -ajfrench
    • Destruction of evidence should not and is not a admission of guilt. Pleading no contest is. Yes destruction of evidence Is reasoned as obstruction of justice. Just as a reporter not wanting to give up his informant. Someone trying to protect the medical privacy and information from people and groups that want to control people instead of being like Jesus and giving them a choice. Very private and controversial information can be exploited to cause more pain and suffering with fear. Most people and groups that do this would lie, cheat, steal and use every means they can to get what they want. Leave me and Jesus out of it please, But you wouldn't be able to justify yourself or the groups if you did.

  3. You said it mexseiko. Orange jumpsuits for those authorizing the destruction and posthumously sanctioning illegal abortions. They need time to ponder the elemental question of life beginning at the beginning, or conception.
Why is this so hard for liberals to understand?
Oh yes, they generally try to dehumanize their opponents, intimidate, and threaten voters; and if all else fails play one segment of the population against another as in class warfare, or their minorities and racism schemes. Any party that marginalizes God, also marginalizes humans because they are then a commodity, rather than a being created in the image of God.

  4. Who is going to prosecute, the dept. of injustice? We have NO law enforcement left, THE only available source for prosecution
would be the county sheriff, but I seriously doubt he/she has the brass to do their job.

    -MontieR
  5. Whoa! This is going to get very interesting. All of the left is on trial at this one. Where is the mainstream media? Did they go on vacation with Obama? Their silence is deafening and enlightening all at once. I love it…let the hatchet fall on these illegitimate wonders.

    -dntmkmecomoverther
  6. It sounds like Sebellius should be charged as a co-conspirator. I have a prediction about how this will end: Both PP and the corrupt Sebellius will get away scott-free from this whole thing because our legal system had been destroyed by the maocrats and Maobama.

    • This is the same women I saw in an interview on TV, that when asked if she would look at the documentation of evidence that alternative products does help cure diseses and helps cancer, etc…she looked at it laying on a table and flat out said…no! I don't like this women at all.

  7. You people have your priorities in all the wrong places. Republican witch hunt of the first order. Paranoid about abortions but don't give any concern for the living. Banning abortions will not stop them and more people will die.

You people are trying to take us back to the dark ages.

    -Chris
    • No I think not. It is you and the rest of the democrats who want to keep the poor, poor, because by listening to the silver-tongued Obama, the Anti-Christ, you think all will be well. I've got news for you. Aint gonna happen. We will be at your door soon enough, and unless you change your ways, God will deal with you and it won't be good.

      -Elsie E Connelly
      • Elsie, be very careful about accusing someone of being the Antichrist. God Himself told us to look for the signs, which will help us to know exactly who the Antichrist is.

        -Linda F.
    • You are dead wrong, Chris. You could not be more wrong if you tried. If you tried, you would fail.

      -Gringo Infidel
    • Whether you’re pro-life or pro-abortion Chris. The issue here is that there apparently were serious laws broken here. So no matter the cause dejour, we have to hold the line on lawbreaking, otherwise it is at the whim of whoever is in power to favor their cronies. This time it happens to be the left who is in the hot seat and (oh yeah) it’s the left that has a proclivity to bend or break the law to suit their ideological opinions.

      -Chuck
      • Trust me, Chuck. Chris is a rabid supporter of abortion. He is callous when it comes to the lives of the unborn. He cares for one person, and one person only: himself.

        -Linda F.
    • Babies are the living you atheist moron.

      -Bobseeks
    • Don't give any concern for the living? I am against abortion, and I give a lot of concern for the living. The right to life starts at conception and continues till death. And since when is allowing an unborn child to be born the dark ages? Uncivilized killing of the innocent just for the sake of killing is a lot more close to the dark ages than illegal abortions! We have better technology now than we did in the ages when an unborn baby was know to be nothing but a blob of tissue. We know better today.

      -Patty
    • This is not a Republican witch hunt.

There are Federal statues governing the destruction of records, including medical records. That would include any and all medical procedure such as tonsellectomies, appendectomies or abortions. The statue of limitation is usually 7 years, but can be longer in certain cases.

Regarding the "living", by which I assume you specifically mean pregnant women, there are many different types of contraceptives on the market today that prevent women from becoming pregnant. They range from the ever popular condom to more sophisticated devices. And please know that the morning after pill has taken a few lives, but is still FDA approved.

Now, if you don't believe me, which I suspect is the case – try going back and re-reading the article and substitute "Catholic Charities" for Planned Parenthood. I don't think your reaction will be the same.

      -Taquoshi
    • Au contraire. Excusing the killing of infants by saying that if we don't kill them other people will die is unacceptabe. Most civilizations have traditions of infanticide. The Bible speaks of the tradition of passing their babies through the fire or burying their first born in the foundation of a new home for good luck. The reason for killing the babies changes with times. The result is the same. The babies are dead. If Planned Parenthood were a legitimate entity it would not hide or destroy the records. Surely they are proud of the carnage they have wrought. Sebellious is just another spoke in the wheel of population control through abortion. Judgment will be harsh for these heartless fiends when they stand before the White Throne.

      -Alice
    • You are the one in the dark as all athiest fools are.

      -Kalev
    • Umm … Chris? Unborn babies are alive. And yet, you have no concern – whatsoever – for them. So please, step off of that cardboard soapbox of yours and find one that's a little more sturdy.

      -Linda F.
    • Actually, conservatives give much more out of their own pockets (not tax money) to help the poor than liberals do.

      -Charles Yoder
  8. And look where Sibelius is today? A Cabinet position in Obama's Cabinet. Yep. The corruption is everywhere in this administration. Is there anyone out there stupid enough to think Eric Holder will prosecute her? She knows why records were destroyed. To avoid evidence that could be used for prosecution! Instead of Jail, she is given a Cabinet Position by Obama. oh, in passing I should mention, under Obamacare, she will be ruling on what treatments you will or will not get, based on costs. Oooops Kathleen, weren't you the one who counted the "CLASS" long term care 'savings' twice, and then said "we told you so" when it turns out the long term care pice of Obamacare is not sustainable? I bet all the records of those discussions are also gone. Don't worry, they have $750 million or more to spend on lies in the coming election, and rest assured you'll never hear about what these criminals are actually doing to you and your families.

    -spxz
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a 'Crisis Pregnancy Center' framing Planned parenthood in this issue. The CPCs need to be abolished and Planned Parenthood retained, and this case summarily tossed in the trash. When the anti-abortion extreme can follow through and provide both incentive for women to carry to term and homes for the otherwise unwanted babies, they'll have a point; otherwise they can STFU and sink back down into their theocratic feudalist holes.

    -MalikTous
    • Malik Tous – is that some foreign term meaning lying imbecile?

      -Bobseeks
    • Ya know, people who call the anti-abortion folks names really should consider the old saying about those living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. P.P. is, I believe, the love child of Margaret Sanger, who was one who advocated euthanasia and such. P.P. should have been aborted!!!! For all of the statements that the pro-death advocates pontificating about, regarding all of the reasons that abortion should be allowed, the truth is it is murder. You can sanitize it anyway you want, but it is taking an innocent life, that had nothing to do with how it was conceived. Most of the abortions are because of irresponsible people who want the fun without taking the responsibility for their actions. Very few of them are because of rape and incest. Planned Parenthood needs to be utterly disposed of, along with the ACLU. Those who are pro-death advocates must consider that either in this life or the one to come, they will answer for all of the millions of innocent lives that have been taken, often for no more reason than the pregnancy is an inconvenience. There may even be a special hell for those who advocate and practice the so-called partial birth abortion.

      -Mark
      • What kind of people can jam a pair of scissors in the back of a baby's head, while the head is still inside the womb, and then suck the brains out so that the skull will colapse and facilitate the removal of the baby or those who advocate such a monstrous thing. Old Adolph Hitler would no doubt award such people high positions in his government!!

        -Mark
    • You moron! As an adoptive mother who saw hundreds of infertile couples trying to adopt when we were going through the process of adoption, you could not be any farther off track. Anti-abortion extreme??? You think if you put the word "extreme" in there it somehow makes it so? The extreme ones are those people who are threatened by a young woman actually having an ultrasound before she makes her decision. The extreme ones are those who won't even let a student take so much as an aspirin at school for a headache, but yet proclaims underage girls do not have to notify their parents that they are pregnant and getting an abortion. The extreme ones are those who try to undermine crisis pregnancy centers for even suggesting that adoption might be a viable alternative to abortion. Women have the choice to have sex or not have sex (with the exception of rape victims). They have the choice to use a variety of birth control methods. What you are denying is that there should be consequences to actions. Ripping apart a little baby limb from limb, puncturing its skull and collapsing its skull while it cries (yes many fetuses are able to cry), and throwing it in a bucket to die, now that's extreme!

      -Patriot Diva
    • Aern't you glad your mother and father had the morals to not kill you too. You don't have to "Frame" Planned P-hood. The guillt is insinuated in the Pro Abortion at any cost stance that is taken on all fronts of the entity.
Imagine what life would be to the people who really love and care about you and Visa-versa had your parents or some Program decided you wern't worth the hassle like some sort of deleted facebook friend. Abortion is an exuse for laziness and a result of uncontrolable lust… intentional or not. As long as there are peeps like you who see human life expendable at any point up to live birth abortion.. {Planned P-hood and Above my Pay grade Obama} There will never be respect for life.. Single women, Homeless children ect. and all your calling out of the "Extremes" will be in vain

      -Garyinseattle
    • You know, you really should spend more time educating yourself and less time spouting off ignorant comments like the one I'm replying to, Malik. At least then, people would be able to take you seriously.

And by the way, Malik. It has been proven that some people who work for Planned Parenthood are guilty of failing to report cases of child sex abuse. And don't get me started on illegal abortions.

Like I said, Malik: educate yourself.

      -Linda F.
      • Yet, when the topic of comprehensive sex education comes up, which would help prevent many of these unplanned pregnancies, it is the Christians who howl against it. They complain against the teaching of sex education even though the stats show that teens who take sex ed delay their first sexual encounter longer than teens who do not take it.

        -Jeff Dixon
  10. Abortion should absolutely be classified as a crime, homicide!!!!!!!!!!! The bold audacity of it's proponents in complaining about public scrutiny and comment is now combined now with criminal threats to any source of opposition to this sub-human practice is simply disgusting. It is time for a movement to return abortion to it's justified status as a felony homicide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    -CHRIS
    • You know, you're right. It should be considered a homicide. I remember years ago a man was robbing a bank. A cop fired a gun at the guy, missed, and hit a pregnant woman, killing her unborn. The bank robber was charged with a homicide, since it was his fault the cop had to fire in the first place. So, the unborn had to be a life, and actual person, in the eyes of the law. How do doctors get away with killing these people? Double standards confuse me.

      -Arek Petrosian
  11. right now the dark ages look pretty good

    -mwood
  12. I spent 32 yrs in law enforcement. When a pregnant woman was killed, the perpetrator was charged with 2 counts of murder. What is the difference? Killing of one fetus during a crime and killing of another fetus during an abortion? No difference in my opinion. Chief Jack

    -Jack Shepherd
    • No there is no difference. The unborn baby is just as much a person if killed along with its mother by a murderer, or If aborted by an abortionist with the mother's consent. This is so stupid! Just because a woman gives consent to the killing does not make the unborn non-human.

      -Patty
    • Totaly correct!!!!

      -Bell
  13. If government guards the right of life and death so jealously, why do advocates of the right to kill the unborn act indignant about death penalties? This issue is about morals, or rather the lack of them.

The unborn are to be protected just like any other life. If government fails in this fundamental issue, it loses its legitimacy on everything that has a moral element to it.

The unborn are not choices, they are victims of systematic murder under the guise of convenience and avoidance of responsibility. These are the hallmarks of the immoral.

    -Gringo Infidel
  14. Destroying paperwork is easy after you destroy many lives.

  15. the person ultimately responsible is now in obama's cabinet and in charge of showing obamacare down our throats.we are all in serious trouble.

    -wolffb
    • We're only in trouble if we accept his authority. I, for one, do not. He is not who he says he is. He can't prove his identity, he can't prove he is a natural-born citizen. He can't even prove his own name. He is NOT the president. The law says he is not, ergo, he has no authority. I do not accept that anything he says or does is legal or binding. If enough people stop accepting that he has any legal authority whatsoever, then we might get something done.

      -Arek Petrosian
      • Romans 13:1-14
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.

        -daves
    • Obamacare covers so many more people and will save many lives. Why are you opposed?

      -daves
  16. Destruction of human life is the most heinous crime there is , everything else pales by comparison .

  17. There seems to be an agreement about this current HHS chief and whom she was appointed by. WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ENSURE WE DON'T REPEAT THIS TRAVASTY? Get up, and get going to make sure the next candidate you send to the highest office isn't this manipulative tyrant again.

    -Honoria
  18. I noticed in her picture our Health Secretary is smoking . All I can say is keep lighting them up, smoke'em if you got them, may a cloud form over your worthless ass. In other words, drop dead.

    -Uncle Pat
    • Nice one, Uncle Pat. I can sense the Christian love.

By the way, she is holding a pen, not a cigarette.

      -Eric
    • No that’s a pen. You must be one of those people that want to use force (law) to control other people behavior. It’s a nasty habit and very addictive but it’s none of governments business.
Some how this criminal activity by Planned Parenthood will get swept away, Obama and his henchmen can’t let anything get in the way of National Socialist and the Islamist from destroying our Republic.
Folks, we are down to the point of having to pick up arms to save our Republic. Anybody ready for that?

      -Kalev
  19. Don't you know we Kansans HATE having to claim K Sebelius as one of us? This is one evil, manipulating, and lying piece of work woman…..but then she's an extreme liberal so you have to be some what braced for the atrocities she's committed. Remember…she's out front in trying to stop bullying, too. Ironies and liberals…like bees to honey.

    -MCJ5060
    • Some day she will have to answer to SOMEONE so much higher than obummer.

      -patty
    • MCJ5060, Agree! So glad she's not here just hate she can do more damage where she is. It was humiliating to have the reputation as 1 of only 2 states that did late term abortion. Not glad Tiller died but am glad that he is no longer killing innocent babies. Pray, this woman who wants to take his place is run out before she can get going good. Obama's team doing a good job of delaying the new regs set into law for abortion clinics. Again, praying that supreme court will back the law.

      -Godisalive
  20. This is what you get when you have a corrupt government. All the corrupt go to a corrupt leader, when they can no longer make it on their own. If abortions had never taken place in our country, we would have all those tax payers paying into the system. Then the people wonder why this country is broke. Places like these are given monies to continue this. They have been predicting the population ahead by so many years, but now they have to recount because of having so many not being born. The ones that carry the records do not want to recount, so that is why illegals are left in to replace all the unborn and to increase population. When will people realize this?

    -Gram
  21. See the documentary made in 2009 called "Blood Money." That will really open your eyes about Tiller's Clinic and others.

    -HappyGrandma
  22. Sounds like obama's records hiden due to being illegal in the first place. Not planned parenthood, but planned killing of innocent baby's.

Planned parenthood, America's answer to home grown terrorism.

    -Thomas Martin
  23. "Destruction of evidence"? Geez, it's their destruction of children that is the New Holocaust. If they'll commit murder should we expect they wouldn't also murder evidence?

    -Esteban Cafe
  24. Sebelius reminds me of someone else. Now please let me think a minute. Oh! don't need the time. It's pelosi. Another fine upstanding specimen of womanhood.

    -joseph g
  25. For those who worship at the feet of Margret Sanger, a little news. We have aborted over fifty million in this country since Roe v. Wade. That's exactly what Sanger wanted – population control. And she wanted it particulartlly for the African-American population. That is one of the reasons you see more P/P so called "clinics" in black neighbourhoods. Although the scream of "Women's Health" ascends from Pelosi and her claque whenever the Republicans threaten to defund Planned Parenthood, these clinics do not offer such services as mammograms and comprehensive gynecological care. Their stock in trade is murder of the unborn!

    -A. Reginald
  26. A second post. Some have mentioned Hitler. When it comes to human destruction Hitler was indeed a piker. Certainly his destruction of six million Jews was and stil is one of the most horrible crimes against any group of humans. However, it pales in size to the destruction wrought by Planed Parenthood and its followers!

    -A. Reginald
  27. Ironically, they're found of guilty of "Destruction of Evidence" when the evidence is about "Destruction of Life" which if if abortion wasn't legal it wouldve carried a stiffer sentevce.
