An effective leader leads by example and causes others to emulate him or her. John C. Maxwell said that, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” Pastor Reginald T. Steele, of Kingdom in the Valley Christian Church, in Phoenix, AZ is a living testimony of one who knows the way, goes the way, and is showing others the way to Christ.
One trait of any effective leader is to watch others blossom and flourish under their leadership. Within the ministry, Pastor Steele has mentored and encouraged others to walk in their gifts, truly allowing 10 men to do 10 men’s work. Under the umbrella of KIVCC, there are support ministries for women, men, children, families, widows, teens, the imprisoned, the homeless, and those in need of food. Annually, the ministry hosts a backpack outreach and donates school supplies and haircuts to those in the community.
In six years, he has allowed God to use him and his story, through his ministry, to inspire others and encourage people to give their lives to Christ, and continue to seek true change in their lives. Many of the members in his congregation and around the world watch on Trinity Broadcasting Network and only see the glory of him being a pastor, while very few actually know the story behind what it took to become the man they see before them today.
