The Ohio State University-Marion is observing Martin Luther King Jr. Day early with Gospelfest 2012 on Saturday.

This year’s Gospelfest will once again feature Ohio State University’s 45-member African-American Voices Gospel Choir as well as local performers.

It is paying homage to the slain civil rights leader who continues to influence those fighting for equal rights today.

The concert will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Morrill Hall Auditorium on the Marion Campus. Admission is one non-perishable food item, which will be donated to a local food pantry.
