Muslims stone Christians on Temple Mount
A mob of some 50 Palestinian Muslims stoned a group of Christian tourists atop Jerusalem’s Temple Mount on Sunday morning. Three of the Israeli police officers who acted to protect the Christian group were wounded by the stone-throwers.
Police arrested 11 Palestinians, several of them minors, for their role in the attack.
The attack is believed to have been instigated by the former Muslim mufti of Jerusalem, Ekrama Sabri, who told Palestinian media over the weekend that Jewish groups were planning to break into the mosques that occupy the holy compound and desecrate them.
Sabri urged all local Muslims to protect the mosques from “the Israeli conspiracy against the city and its holy places.”
Muslim religious figures regularly claim that Israel is plotting to destroy the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque to pave the way for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple, which the Muslims now insist never previously existed.

Islam is the spiritual form of AIDs, Christ is the only cure.
-BobseeksNot necessarily.
-AkivaOh yes, Bob is correct.
-SargeE5So is Akiva – this was a despicable act by despicable people and it does not reflect on all Muslims.
-davesIf a Muslim is a believer and a follower of the Holy Qur'an, they are potential terrorists, there is no riding the fence in Islam.Get yourself a Qur'an and read it.”Tolerance is the last virtue of a dying society” AristotleSemper Fi, ~Jer
-The WatchmanYour denial doesn't change the truth, Akiva. One day, you'll find that out.
-Linda F.Akiva, for those who do not know I have written two verses of scripture that are very important for non-believers as well as Believers.
Philippians 2:9-11
-Myrtlelinder9: WHEREFORE GOD ALSO HATH HIGHLY EXALTED HIM, AND GIVEN HIM A NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME:
10: THAT AT THE NAME OF JESUS EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, OF THINGS IN HEAVEN, AND THINGS IN EARTH, AND THINGS UNDER THE EARTH;
11: AND THAT EVERY TONGUE SHOULD CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER.
There are no verses of importance for non-believers. We embrace reality, not delusion.
-Jeff DixonThere is much work for you before you will be accepted into GOD'S grace. If not before, you will come face to face with HIM and I wonder what you will say then. Yes, I know without a shadow of doubt, you do have a stupid anti-GOD answer.
-MyrtlelinderYou are saved by GRACE NOT of works lest any man shall boost.
-MikeTrue, you are saved by the grace of GOD, through your faith and your works. Faith with works is dead. Without faith there is no hope unless somewhere along you learn the truth and faith in JESUS CHRIST enters your heart.
-MyrtlelinderJeff, it would seem you are the optimist falling from the skyscraper. It's a long way down, and all the way you think "I'm not dead yet". No matter the profession of reality along the way – the end is still the same.
Won't you reconsider your position? Won't you recognize the truth that sin has been and will be judged – and that all of us stand guilty of the judgement – but that God has provided to us the only way: Jesus, whom He has made both Lord and Christ, gave Himself as payment for our sins.
It's not too late, you know- you're not dead yet…
-PaulThat may be one the silliest postings I have seen. Anyone falling off from a skyscraper who says to himself, "I'm not dead yet" implying there may be way to survive the fall is not an optimist, he is delusional. That is the mindset of theists, not atheists.
-Jeff DixonJeff an Angel of God caught me when I Fell , it was the biggest pair of arms I ever felt!!!!!!!!!!!
-Pastor DwayneOf course one did. At the same time, it allowed children to be molested, raped, starved, beaten and killed.
-Jeff Dixonwhich would not have happened if father Adam had not sinned , but since he did sin , the sin nature was passed upon all people of every generation since Adam !! It is bad that, that has and does happen to children, I agree . I also know it has happened because of the sinful nature of mankind , and will til Jesus returns … Oh yes Jeff, despite your unbelief of what the Bible says, there will be a rapture !! Jeff ,, everything the Bible said would happen over the hundreds of years
-Pastor Dwaynesince the Word of God was recorded HAS HAPPENED!
There won't be a rapture Dwayne as that false belief is based on the Latin translation. Check the other occurrences of that Greek word and you will see my proof. Christ will rule on earth not in heaven. No wonder there are atheists.
-aldotooHmm, really???
(Deuteronomy 24:16) – "Fathers shall not be put to death for their sons, nor shall sons be put to death for their fathers; everyone shall be put to death for his own sin."
-Jeff Dixon(Ezekiel 18:20) – "The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself."
Still saying the nicest things! One day your sins will find you out.
-MyrtlelinderI do say the nicest things to nice people.
-Jeff DixonJeff, you have no choice, whatsoever, you will meet HIM face to face. If He directs you to the left you will go t the left. By the time you meet HIM face to face, you will have already made your final decision. Think about that!!
-MyrtlelinderGosh, you are the very first Christian to ever tell to think about my death.
It is because I have thought about it that I am confident that I am correct. All religious stories are myths, Christianity included.
-Jeff DixonJeff is correct his heart will not see what he willing closes it too.
-decarlisleRight back at ya.
-Jeff DixonYou are absolutely correct! And Jeff will have to answer for his "blindness" someday.
-GuestReally? So things such as mutations never creating new genetic information, the calculations of British mathematician Roger Penrose show that the probability of universe conducive to life occurring by chance is in 10 to the 10123 power, evolution doesn’t even qualify as a scientific theory because it has never been observed or reproduced , why no “transitional forms” are still running around, how natural selection isn’t evolution in action and how it can limit the amount of genetic pool, or how science has a long standing premise by which it lives, i.e. "Ex nihilo nihil fit" – "Out of nothing, nothing comes" (Basically it translates: we live in a closed system and in this closed system we have found no evidence of anything coming into existence spontaneously out of nothing, everything has a causal agent; Aristotle built on Plato's teaching about the "uncaused cause" or the first cause), but atheism is embracing reality?
-JamesWrong
Variation of traits is production of novelty, especially where there was no variation before. The accumulation of slight modifications is a basis of evolution.
Documentation of mutations producing new features includes the following:
the ability of a bacterium to digest nylon (Negoro et al. 1994; Thomas n.d.; Thwaites 1985);
adaptation in yeast to a low-phosphate environment (Francis and Hansche 1972; 1973; Hansche 1975);
the ability of E. coli to hydrolyze galactosylarabinose (Hall 1981; Hall and Zuzel 1980);
evolution of multicellularity in a unicellular green alga (Boraas 1983; Boraas et al. 1998);
modification of E. coli's fucose pathway to metabolize propanediol (Lin and Wu 1984);
evolution in Klebsiella bacteria of a new metabolic pathway for metabolizing 5-carbon sugars (Hartley 1984);
There is evidence for mutations producing other novel proteins:
Proteins in the histidine biosynthesis pathway consist of beta/alpha barrels with a twofold repeat pattern. These apparently evolved from the duplication and fusion of genes from a half-barrel ancestor (Lang et al. 2000).
Laboratory experiments with directed evolution indicate that the evolution of a new function often begins with mutations that have little effect on a gene's original function but a large effect on a second function. Gene duplication and divergence can then allow the new function to be refined. (Aharoni et al. 2004)
For evolution to operate, the source of variation does not matter; all that matters is that heritable variation occurs. Such variation is shown by the fact that selective breeding has produced novel features in many species, including cats, dogs, pigeons, goldfish, cabbage, and geraniums. Some of the features may have been preexisting in the population originally, but not all of them were, especially considering the creationists' view that the animals originated from a single pair.
-Jeff Dixonhttp://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/CB/CB101_2.htm…
"All that would be needed to enable an enzyme to digest nylon is a mutation causing loss of specificity in a proteolytic (protein-degrading) enzyme. This may seem surprising—how would a loss of information create a new ability? Answer: enzymes are usually tuned very precisely to only one type of molecule (the substrate). Loss of information would reduce the effectiveness of its primary function, but would enable it to degrade other substrates, too. Since both nylon and proteins are broken down by breaking amide linkages, a change in a proteolytic enzyme could also allow it to work on nylon. If this process were continued, the result would be a general enzyme with a weakly catalytic effect on the hydrolysis of too many chemicals to be useful where much selectivity is required. To put it into perspective, acids and alkalis also catalyze many hydrolysis reactions, but they also lack specificity. Indeed, an inhibitor of a protein degrading enzyme also inhibits the action of the nylon degrading enzyme." (Dr Lee Spetner, 2004)
-James"(1) Mathematical challenges: Fortunately, mutations are very rare. They occur on an average of perhaps once in every ten million duplications of a DNA molecule (107, a one followed by seven zeroes). That’s fairly rare. On the other hand, it’s not that rare. The mathematical problem for evolution comes when you want a series of related mutations. The odds of getting two mutations that are related to one another is the product of the separate probabilities: one in 107 x 107, or 1014. That’s a one followed by 14 zeroes, a hundred trillion! Any two mutations might produce no more than a fly with a wavy edge on a bent wing. That’s a long way from producing a truly new structure, and certainly a long way from changing a fly into some new kind of organism. You need more mutations for that. So, what are the odds of getting three mutations in a row? That’s one in a billion trillion (1021). Suddenly, the ocean isn’t big enough to hold enough bacteria to make it likely for you to find a bacterium with three simultaneous or sequential related mutations.
-JamesVery large mutations are rare, but mutations are ubiquitous. There is roughly 0.1 to 1 mutation per genome replication in viruses and 0.003 mutations per genome per replication in microbes. Mutation rates for higher organisms vary quite a bit between organisms, but excluding the parts of the genome in which most mutations are neutral (the junk DNA), the mutation rates are also roughly 0.003 per effective genome per cell replication. Since sexual reproduction involves many cell replications, humans have about 1.6 mutations per generation. This is likely an underestimate, because mutations with very small effect are easy to miss in the studies. Including neutral mutations, each human zygote has about 64 new mutations (Drake et al. 1998). Another estimate concludes 175 mutations per generation, including at least 3 deleterious mutations (Nachman and Crowell 2000).

Harter, Richard. 1999. Are mutations harmful? http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/mutations.html
-Jeff DixonReferences:
(2) Upward or downward? Even more serious is the fact that mutations are “going the wrong way” as far as evolution is concerned. Almost every mutation we know is identified by the disease or abnormality that it causes. In other words, time, chance, and random changes do just what we normally expect: tear things down and make matters worse. Using mutations to explain the breakdown of existing genetic order (creation-corruption) is quite the opposite of using mutations to explain the build up of genetic order (evolution).
-JamesBy producing defects or blocking the normal function of certain genes, mutations have introduced numerous genetic abnormalities into the human population. Some people like to call mutations “the means of creation.” But mutations don’t create; they corrupt! Both logically and often observationally, as in the examples above, the ordered state must come before mutations can disorder it. Mutations are real, all right, but they point to a corruption of the created order by time and chance.
esponse:
Most mutations are neutral. Nachman and Crowell estimate around 3 deleterious mutations out of 175 per generation in humans (2000). Of those that have significant effect, most are harmful, but the fraction which are beneficial is higher than usually though. An experiment with E. coli found that about 1 in 150 newly arising mutations and 1 in 10 functional mutations are beneficial (Perfeito et al. 2007).
The harmful mutations do not survive long, and the beneficial mutations survive much longer, so when you consider only surviving mutations, most are beneficial.
Beneficial mutations are commonly observed. They are common enough to be problems in the cases of antibiotic resistance in disease-causing organisms and pesticide resistance in agricultural pests (e.g., Newcomb et al. 1997; these are not merely selection of pre-existing variation.) They can be repeatedly observed in laboratory populations (Wichman et al. 1999). Other examples include the following:
Mutations have given bacteria the ability to degrade nylon (Prijambada et al. 1995).
Plant breeders have used mutation breeding to induce mutations and select the beneficial ones (FAO/IAEA 1977).
Certain mutations in humans confer resistance to AIDS (Dean et al. 1996; Sullivan et al. 2001) or to heart disease (Long 1994; Weisgraber et al. 1983).
A mutation in humans makes bones strong (Boyden et al. 2002).
Transposons are common, especially in plants, and help to provide beneficial diversity (Moffat 2000).
In vitro mutation and selection can be used to evolve substantially improved function of RNA molecules, such as a ribozyme (Wright and Joyce 1997).
Whether a mutation is beneficial or not depends on environment. A mutation that helps the organism in one circumstance could harm it in another. When the environment changes, variations that once were counteradaptive suddenly become favored. Since environments are constantly changing, variation helps populations survive, even if some of those variations do not do as well as others. When beneficial mutations occur in a changed environment, they generally sweep through the population rapidly (Elena et al. 1996).
High mutation rates are advantageous in some environments. Hypermutable strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa are found more commonly in the lungs of cystic fibrosis patients, where antibiotics and other stresses increase selection pressure and variability, than in patients without cystic fibrosis (Oliver et al. 2000).
Note that the existence of any beneficial mutations is a falsification of the young-earth creationism model (Morris 1985, 13).

(3) Mutations point back to creation: Mathematics and genetic load are huge problems for evolution, but the biggest reason mutations cannot lead to evolution is an extremely simple one. It’s so simple, I’m almost afraid to say it. But really, mutations presuppose creation. After all, mutations are only changes in genes that already exist." (Dr. Gary Parker 2000)
-JamesDuplication and fusion don't create new information (needed for evolution), just recombinations of what is already present. (Sorry for all the seperate posts, but there were limits on how many characters I could use.)
is hard to understand how anyone could make this claim, since anything mutations can do, mutations can undo. Some mutations add information to a genome; some subtract it. Creationists get by with this claim only by leaving the term "information" undefined, impossibly vague, or constantly shifting. By any reasonable definition, increases in information have been observed to evolve. We have observed the evolution of
increased genetic variety in a population (Lenski 1995; Lenski et al. 1991)
increased genetic material (Alves et al. 2001; Brown et al. 1998; Hughes and Friedman 2003; Lynch and Conery 2000; Ohta 2003)
novel genetic material (Knox et al. 1996; Park et al. 1996)
novel genetically-regulated abilities (Prijambada et al. 1995)
If these do not qualify as information, then nothing about information is relevant to evolution in the first place.
A mechanism that is likely to be particularly common for adding information is gene duplication, in which a long stretch of DNA is copied, followed by point mutations that change one or both of the copies. Genetic sequencing has revealed several instances in which this is likely the origin of some proteins. For example:
Two enzymes in the histidine biosynthesis pathway that are barrel-shaped, structural and sequence evidence suggests, were formed via gene duplication and fusion of two half-barrel ancestors (Lang et al. 2000).
RNASE1, a gene for a pancreatic enzyme, was duplicated, and in langur monkeys one of the copies mutated into RNASE1B, which works better in the more acidic small intestine of the langur. (Zhang et al. 2002)
Yeast was put in a medium with very little sugar. After 450 generations, hexose transport genes had duplicated several times, and some of the duplicated versions had mutated further. (Brown et al. 1998)
The biological literature is full of additional examples. A PubMed search (at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi) on "gene duplication" gives more than 3000 references.
According to Shannon-Weaver information theory, random noise maximizes information. This is not just playing word games. The random variation that mutations add to populations is the variation on which selection acts. Mutation alone will not cause adaptive evolution, but by eliminating nonadaptive variation, natural selection communicates information about the environment to the organism so that the organism becomes better adapted to it. Natural selection is the process by which information about the environment is transferred to an organism's genome and thus to the organism (Adami et al. 2000).
The process of mutation and selection is observed to increase information and complexity in simulations (Adami et al. 2000; Schneider 2000).

-Jeff Dixon(1)Even the HIV immunity is merely trading one problem for another, with no new DNA which necessary for evolution:
-@Uncle_G82“It is true that there are people who have mutations with beneficial outcomes. For example, individuals with the CCR5 mutation who are exposed to HIV are not likely to develop an infection and subsequently AIDS. Individuals who develop cancer but have certain mutations can be effectively treated with a certain class of cancer drugs. However, there may be currently unknown detrimental effects from these mutations as well.
(2)For example, studies have shown that people with the CCR5 mutation may be at a higher risk of developing West Nile Virus illness and hepatitis C. In addition, the detrimental effects may not be detrimental enough to affect the overall fitness of the individual, and thus, the ability of the individuals to survive in most environments does not differ from those without the mutations. These mutations are not selected against by natural selection, and so, they remain in the population. In humans, determining the beneficial or detrimental outcomes of mutations is many times difficult to assess since the mutations do not result in a “live or die” situation as is often the case for bacteria (i.e. upon exposure to antibiotics).
-@Uncle_G82Again, the mutations only improve a person’s chance for survival in a given environment (external or internal), such as if the person is exposed to HIV or cancer develops within a person’s body. It is possible that the mutations would not be beneficial in other environments (i.e. if the person is exposed to West Nile Virus).” (Dr. Georgia Purdom, 2008)
Keep in mind that beneficial, information-gaining mutations are a necessary mechanism of molecules-to-man evolution, so focusing on any potential for this is essential for evolutionists. But even if there were a clearly beneficial mutation, this would by no means “prove” the mechanism for evolution (for one thing, beneficial, information-gaining mutations would have to be a regularly occurring phenomenon and would have to “build” on previous mutations so as not to be “undone” and to keep the evolution going “uphill”). Both prokaryotes and eukaryotes have a number of repair systems that deal with different kinds of DNA damage/anomalies and use enzymes to make corrections. Although not all mutations can be repaired, without this repair system, mutations would accumulate and become lethal.
-@Uncle_G82There is more to evolution than mutation. A small percentage of mutations are beneficial, and selection can cause the beneficial mutations to persist and the harmful mutations to die off. The combination of mutation and selection can create new useful adaptations.
-Jeff DixonAnd how does an animal that is designed to function in its environment survive the changes caused? For example, for apes or monkeys to walk like humans, (a conversion from walking on all fours to walking upright) would require a significant redesign of the body (longer legs, a basin-like pelvis, a curved spine, an arched foot with toes, new muscles, etc.) which would make it less able to survive in its present habitat (especially before all the necessary traits have been successfully added together and reproduced) and would likely be finished off by natural selection.
-@Uncle_G82Your "reality" is all in your head!!
-DennisAkiva , Islam is a spiritual form of aids , and a statement was made that some Muslims aren't , which is true too , but they have to go along with Islam so they won't be Killed
-Pastor DwayneOr move to the United States.
-davesThere is a book called "Christian Atheists". Apostacy (unbelieving Christians that identify with God in name only) is rampant. Without a relationship with God through Jesus Christ religious sects and belief systems run rampant. Islam is just one of many problems in the world – having some knowledge of God but denying Jesus God's only original Son Who spoke all things into existence as the Word of God (Who took on flesh as Jesus) by speaking it into existence. Only mankind was created 'hands on'.
-daledorIslam accepts Jesus as a prophet but not as the 'only begotten Son of God'. They are not supposed to endorse frauds, liars, or lunatics to saintly status. Jesus called Himself THE Son of God (not 'a'). He said, "I am the Way (to God), the Truth (of God), and the Life (of all creation). No man (or woman) goes to the Father (God) except through the Son (Himself)." – Thus, Islam must have endorsed a liar, crazy man, or liar — or else He was Who He said that He was!!!! If He was Who He said that He was, then He is much more than a prophet and is THE original and predominant Son of God who created all that is! Think about this truth!!!!!
Crore-percent on the nail, Bob!
-DevasahayamBobbie, you believe that Christ is the cure for Islam. That makes sense. One myth being the cure for another myth. Sounds about right.
-Jeff DixonZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
-BobseeksBobbie, you are obviously wearing yourself out with all your ranting. Take a nap so you can start foaming at the mouth later when you are rested up.
-Jeff DixonZzzzzzzzzz …. same old, same old . . . Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
-BobseeksThat's your REALITY? Why do you even come to this site? You are most weird!!
-DennisThe presence of a shrine to hatred and apostacy on the Temple Mount is a defilement in itself. Jews allow it only because God allows it, but both Jews and Muslims are waiting for the day when God Himself will get it done just in time for the apocaliptic festivities.
-MexseikoTime to start the Crusades again.
-jimbo999No need! GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF IT, IN HIS TIME, which will be soon all things have come to pass which needed to come to pass for this wonderful time.
-MyrtlelinderNo! A thousand times, No! The crusades were a travesty instituted by man. They were not ordained by, ordered by, or sanctioned by the Lord Jesus Christ. They never accomplished the righteousness of God – but instead degraded and defamed the name of Jesus as the violent and wicked men claimed His name for all their crimes.
God, through His written Word, tells us to love those who persecute or spitefully use you. To bless them, and not curse them. To go and make disciples of all the nations, to baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Spirit.
If you'r concerned that "they" will overtake and destroy Christianity or the people of God – don't worry. It's not our job to do it, but God Himself will take action at the right time:
-Paul"Do not take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God. Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord."
Amen Paul. The last thing we need to do is act out sinfully, or even suggest it. The gospel of the kingdom will spread and grow as we are faithful to proclaim Jesus in our actions and words.
-VinceThat's what I'm talking about, don't arrest them, kill 'em, that will send a message loud and clear.
-JohnThat would rob them of any chance of becoming saved, by accepting JESUS as their Savior in the future.
-MyrtlelinderIslam, the religion of peace and tolerance?
-catzpawPeace and tolerance only applies to Muslims who follow Islam. It does not apply to non-Islamic believers and Muslim women. Muslim women are like property and hold a position just above cattle. When President Bush stated in a speech that Islam was loving and peaceful religion he was simply appeasing Muslims. Even Pres. Bush knows that Islam is a hateful, deceitful, violent, and blood thirsty political organization. Our president Obama is a member of this political theology and surely believes in Islamic doctrines. In Islam, if you are not a believer you are to be murdered in any way imaginable and more horrific the better Islamic Muslims like it. Did you know that murdering an Infidel is the only act that guarantees that a good Muslim will go to heaven? And don't forget that you will be awarded 72 virgins if you kill and Infidel. What a deal!
-Ed in FloridaIt is such a shame that they are so misled. I guess if it makes them happy because if they do not find JESUS CHRIST, this is all the happeness the will have the opportunity to see. This living a huge lie.
-MyrtelinderSurely you jest. Islam is a religion of DEATH and that is a fact!
-ORBAll the Abrahamic religions have been religions of death.
-Jeff DixonWhat? Get your facts straight. Christianity falls into this category according to way you worded your post. Judaism is not a violent religion either.
-marks909I have my facts straight. ALL the Abrahamic religions have killed in the name of their god. The Christians and Jews have been forced to act more civil than in the past, but make no mistake. They have a past that is just as bloody as the Muslims.
-Jeff DixonHow can anyone participate or believe in such a hateful religion? God certainly wouldn't condone their actions.
-AliceMuslims do not have God, they have Allah, and he was just one chosen by Muhammad, Allah was just one of many, he was a moon god.
-SargeE5Amed, that is their problem. Islam is a man made religion!
-MyrtlelinderEvolution of many gods to one.
Those of us who grow up in English-speaking countries where Judaism or Christianity is the principal religion learn very early in life that the Bible opens with the phrase: “In the beginning, God created heaven and earth”.
Believers accept that statement as truth. Others assume that it reflects unchanging doctrine. And most are unaware that this opening line is a translation of words written thousands of years ago – words that may be inaccurately translated.
What happens when we compare the translation with the original text? (Don't forget to read from right to left.)
בְּ רֵאשִׁית , בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים , אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם , וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ
Bereshit bara Elohim et hashamayim
ve'et ha'arets
Hebrew, like Arabic, was originally written without vowels. That allows some words to be interpreted differently depending on which vowels are inserted. However, there is little dispute over this opening verse.
Look at the third word, Elohim. The -im ending means that it is plural, like cherubim and seraphim. Elohim means "gods", not "god". That means an accurate translation would read:
“In the beginning, the gods created heaven and earth.”
http://www.godwouldbeanatheist.com/1godis/105elya…
Yahweh is only one of many Hebrew gods, elohim, which the ancient Hebrews worshiped.
In The Criticism and the Verdict of the Monuments, Oxford professor of Assyriology A. H. Sayce maintained: 'Even the most devoted adherents of the supreme God of Israel sometimes admitted that he was but supreme among other gods, and David himself, the friend of seers and prophets, complains that he had been driven out of 'the inheritance of Yahveh' and told to go and 'serve other gods' (1 Sam. xxvi. 19)."
In The Religious Teachings of the Old Testament, Albert C. Knudson, a professor in the Boston University School of Theology, also pointed out:
-Jeff Dixon"The sole godhead of Yahweh was a truth that was only gradually attained. The different steps in this development may be distinguished with a fair degree of clearness. We begin with the Mosaic age. It was to Moses, as we have seen, that the establishment of Yahweh-worship was due. Previous to his time the Israelites seem to have been polytheists. On one of the cuneiform tablets discovered by Winckler at Boghazkj and belonging to the pre-Mosaic age we read of 'the gods' of the Habiri or Hebrews, and in Josh. 24.2, 14f. and Ezek. 20.7f., 24 we are told that both in Mesopotamia and Egypt the Israelites worshipped other gods. The very name 'Yahweh' also points in the same direction. The manifest purpose of such a name was to distinguish the god of Israel from other gods. If the Hebrews had not believed in the existence of other deities, there would have been no need of giving a personal name to the Divine Being through whom they were delivered from Egypt. He would have been to them simply God."
http://einhornpress.com/yahweh.aspx
So by your own intelligence, and you are very intelligent, have reasoned that there is absolutely no God?
-KalevA day of surprise is in store for you my athiest friend.
Yes, as in when he comes face to face with the "ONE" he has completely denounced!!!
-MyrtlelinderI love the teachings of Jesus but I never want to worship a God that would punish people for not believing – that is cruel.
Think of all the native Americans a thousand years ago. They never even heard of Jesus, is it right that they get punished for that?
-davesdaves, the native Americans had plenty of chances to hear the gospel and believe. They rejected Him and continued with their "medicine men" and idolatry. That is the main reason they did not continue to have a stronghold in this country because He knew they would not change their ways. Even to this day the majority do not believe and are totally dependent on the government. God wanted this country to be a Client Nation to Him. Definition of Client nation in next comment.
-msjallenHe is referring to the Native Americans who lived before the Christians came to America. They never heard of Jesus.
-Jeff DixonJeff, I stand corrected about the thousands of years before Christians came to America but they did come from other countries according to historians. However, everyone has an opportunity to come to know Christ no matter where they live if they have the most minute positive volition towards Him.
-msjallenRomans 1:18-20 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
Yes, the Native Americans came to America around 12,000 years ago, long before the stories of Jesus were being dreamed up. In a way, calling them Native Americans is humorous, since they migrated here themselves. However, that is the name we are currently using for them.
If you want to get even more humorous, all humanity originated in Africa. So, although black American's often call themselves African-Americans, in a sense, we should all use the term African in describing ourselves, as well as the country our more recent ancestors came from. So, I guess that makes me an African-German-English American. But that would probably just confuse the census takers.
-Jeff DixonA Client Nation to God is defined as a national entity under the patronage of God. A Client Nation is assigned the responsibility for the formation, preservation, communication and fulfillment of the Canon of Scripture. There are O.T. Client Nations (Israel) and N.T. Client nations with born again believers as their citizens with a spiritual responsibility to their nation and to God which is the most important. The Client Nation status has NOTHING to do with the government of a nation. I has to do with people who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who are leaning His Word and growing spiritually and fulfilling His will for their lives. This overflows into all areas of their lives and produces a better nation as a whole.
-msjallenThey won't be punished, Daves. They will sleep in the dust of the earth, just like the animals, because they understand not Psa. 49:12, 20
-aldotooBy whose intelligence should I use to reason this?
-Jeff DixonElohim in Gen 1 refers to Angels as it does in many other places. See Psa. 91:11 & Compare Psa. 8:5 with Heb. 2:7.
-aldotooThe true Israelites were not polytheists
I showed you just how wrong you are with sources. You offer your opinion. Facts trump opinions every time.
-Jeff DixonThat is an interesting question. How can people agree to be part of a religion that uses violence?
Christians killing Muslims in Nigeria
Posted on September 4, 2011 by Stardust
Here is something that fails to make mainstream news. We hear right away when Muslims kill Christians, but when it’s the other way around it doesn’t get any airtime on television or even brought to the front on any of the major news media. Muslims in Nigeria were praying their magical end of Ramadan prayers when suddenly attacked by Christians carrying guns and machetes. But the conflict between ethnic groups is not one of only religion, it’s more about control of economics and political power.
21 dead in religious rioting in central Nigeria
Jos sits in Nigeria’s “middle belt,” where dozens of ethnic groups vie for control of fertile lands and political and economic power. While cutting across religious and ethnic lines, much of the violence finds its root in economic and political issues.
The government of Plateau state, where Jos is the capital, is controlled by Christian politicians who have blocked Muslims from being legally recognized as citizens. That has locked many out of prized government jobs in a region where the tourism industry and tin mining have collapsed in the last decades.
While much of the problem is economics and the desire for political control, the Abrahamic religions promote and even justify horrendous actions by their adherents. The influences of the Bible and Quran just an added fuel to the fires of hate, bigotry, greed, and violence. If someone is poor, needy and downtrodden…just kill them or let them die and get them out of the way. Is there any hope for a peaceful world while the Abrahamic religions exist?
-Jeff Dixonhttp://atheistoasis.wordpress.com/2011/09/04/chri…
It is the ignorant that blames Christians with all that people claim to be Christian does. These people claim to b Christian many time to cast the blame on true Christians who will never deliberately do harm to anyone. We are sinners, true but repentant sinners but Christians do not deliberately sin.
-MyrtlelinderYou are right, but jeffie lacks the wit to understand what you are saying. Even if he did understand, he would answer you with one of his many pre-packaged lies that he copies and pastes. Rather than argue with someone who is dedicated to spreading lies, pray for him and ask GOD to bring him to the truth, thence to repentance, then to salvation. Ex-atheists make some of the best Christians.
-BobseeksThe Muslims can say the same thing. That you blame people who claim to be Muslims, even though their actions are not what a true Muslim believes.
Until people learn that all religions promote delusion, the world will continue to have religions slow our progress.
-Jeff DixonALRIGHT JEFF ,,,, you finally got something right , well, almost . In the beginning the Gods , God the Father, God the Son ,Jesus, God the Holy Ghost created the universe
-Pastor DwaynePastor Dwayne I'm so glad that you brought this up. I am a slow typer (two fingers at the most and then only sometimes) Now I don't have to. Thank you. By the way, I believe that everyone knows what water is. What happens when water gets very cold? It becomes ice, but it is still water. What happens when water becomes very hot? I turns to steam, but it is still water. This is the way it is with God. One God in three diferent forms, but still the same.
-JPMJPM,, Sorry, it is 3 Gods that are One, Deut. 6:4 " hear oh Israel , the Lord our God is ONE Lord. The word ONE when studied out in the Strong's Concordance , has the meaning ( a compound unity ) meaning many , equals one. in this case three Gods equals one God!!
-Pastor DwayneThree gods in a monotheistic religion????? lol
-Jeff DixonJesus was not around until born of his mother Mary. It's time you guys who charge for religion got it right
-aldotooSatan hates God.
Satan deceived man to rebel against God.
Cain, the result of the new rebellious man, hated God and took it out on his brother.
Nothing has changed since.
God does not condone the actions. God lets them stand as evidence for the Truth He has proclaimed in His Word. As proof that, left to himself, man does not get better, but becomes more sinful. Only if we are reconciled to God through Jesus Christ can we experience and show true love instead of hate or indifference.
-PaulAmein, very well stated Paul.
-KalevAnd according to your fable, god, who is supposed to be all knowing, knew all these events would occur, yet he went ahead with his creation plan anyway. And somehow, you consider this plan to be perfection. It is simply too absurd for words.
-Jeff DixonYes He went ahead with His creation plan , AND, his Salvation plan
-Pastor DwayneHe could have made a plan that would not require that people go to hell. One where he did not create an angel that would rebel. But he was obviously not that all powerful, nor able to think thru a plan knowing what will be occurring with his all knowing superpower.
-Jeff DixonJeff, God has given everyone free will. That is He will not go against your decisions. To do so He would also have to give Satan the same privilege and this He was unwilling to do. You can make you own decisions, but you will still have to answer for them if they are wrong. This free will is given both individually and collectively. Your personal belief is your decision. For your sake I hope it changes.
-JPMFree will is a great example of how the biblical god cannot be true.
If I have free will, I can make any choice I want. However, if god is all knowing, he is aware of every choice I will make before I make it. Therefore, I am unable to make a choice that god is unaware of. If I am unable to make a choice that god is unaware of, then my choices are not actually choices. They have been predetermined. I am incapable of making an an actual choice because the choice I end up making is pre-known by god. If the choice is known before it is actually made, then it is simply a completion of a pre-arranged event. Therefore, my free will is meaningless. I am not capable of actually making a real decision. In other words, if God already knows the future, then humanity is destined to corroborate with his knowledge of the future and not have true free will to deviate from it
The only way free will can exist is if god is not all knowing. However, if god is not all knowing, then he is not all powerful and is not god. The two concepts are mutually exclusive.
This also presupposes the problem of an omniscient god who has free will directly in arguing that the will of God himself would be bound to follow whatever God foreknows himself doing throughout eternity.
According to Jeremiah 18, god does not know what he will do in the future. "At one moment I may declare concerning a nation or a kingdom, that I will pluck up and break down and destroy it, but if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from its evil, I will change my mind about the disaster that I intended to bring on it. And at another moment I may declare concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will build and plant it, but if id does evil in my sight, not listening to my voice, then I will change my mind about the good that I had intended to do to it" (Jer. 18:7-10).
-Jeff DixonI wasn't going to get in on this discussion, but I feel a logical fallacy in your posting deserves comment.
You said, "If I am unable to make a choice that God is unaware of, then my choices are not actually choices." Further on, you state"If the choice is known before it is actually made, then it is simply a completion of a pre-arranged event."
I find both of these statements to be logically flawed, in the extreme. I shall explain why.
In your first statement, you claim that because God is aware of what you will choose to do, you were not free to make that choice. You fail to provide a reason for this. Simply being aware of what someone will do in no way compels the person to do that very thing, nor does it remove from him the freedom to make that choice, it only shows knowledge on the part of the one who is aware of what the action will be. I know my wife very well, and know (fairly accurately) what she will do under most circumstances. This doesn't mean that I am controlling her choices, or preventing her from making them, it only means that I know her well enough to know what those choices might be.
In your second statement, you again equate knowledge with direct influence. God knows what you will do, therefore you weren't free to choose something else? I know my friend hates chocolate ice cream. I have strawberry and chocolate in the freezer, and tell him to choose which one he would like, knowing he will choose the strawberry. Did I remove the decision making process from his control? No, I simply know which he will choose, based on my knowledge of him. In the same vein, there is a stop sign on the corner where I live. A guy down the street NEVER stops at that sign. I see him coming, and KNOW he will not stop, since he never has. Is my knowledge somehow preventing him from choosing to stop?
Then again, you draw the same logical fallacy in your second paragraph: "The only way free will can exist is if God is not all knowing." You fail to demonstrate how God's knowing, and your choosing, are interdependent.
Thank you, and have a great day. God Bless.
-petroskhan1262Your arguments are not sound. You claim I do not provide a reason for in my first statement. I disagree. The reason that I do not actually have a choice is BECAUSE since god already knows my choice, the outcome is predetermined. I stated that very clearly.
In your second comment, you try to equate what usually occurs with actually knowing in advance what is predetermined to occur. Your friend might have always taken strawberry in the past, but that is not a guarantee he will never choose chocolate at some point. in the future. You are mistaking statistics with being all knowing. They are not the same as many gamblers in Vegas will attest to.
-Jeff DixonYou have simply reiterated without clarifying, brother.
Because A knows what B will do, B is somehow not free to choose?
God KNOWING what you will choose does not rob you of that choice. It is yours to make, His to know.
-petroskhan1262Nonsense. If god is actually all knowing, there is only one choice I can make, which is the choice that this all knowing god was aware of before I made it. In other words, there is no other choice I could make. Since I cannot make a different choice, there was actually no choice involved in what I thought I decided to do. It was predetermined. Therefore, the concept of free will with an all knowing god is impossible.
-Jeff DixonI am afraid I must respectfully disagree, brother. You have still not shown how God knowing what you will do robs you of the choice. You are connecting two things, claiming that one controls the other, without showing the controlling mechanism.
One "entity" knowing with certainty what another will do does not, in and of itself, deprive that other of his choice.
Knowing what someone will do is not the same thing as controlling what he does. That is your claim, and thus far, with all due respect, you have not shown how that is the case.
God Bless.
-petroskhan1262It is disheartening to see the world disintegrating before our very eyes. Unfortunately islam has spread like a cancer within its own doctrines. Instead of showing world peace and tolerance, it forces all muslims to act against all other religions and ideologies. To some within death is inevitable if one does not follow the teachings. They can act to destroy all humans who do not have their belief and it matters not to them who it is they destroy. Yes there is so much defilement of God throughout the world now, that it is only a matter of time that God Himself will bring upon us Revelations. God is being used by islam and others to bring down the world purposely. there is more….
-Anne GelinasThe anti-christ is behind all of this. The anti-christ relishes in tearing apart all mankind. It is a big show to God that this anti-christ can get away with it. What can we do? Believe that God is and always will be Our Creator. Pray like you never prayed before. God has said that 'ask anything of Him through Jesus Christ, and He will grant it.' If we all believe in God and Jesus Christ, then prayers will be answered and the anti-christ will be destroyed because of our belief. This anti-christ is also bringing down America if you haven't noticed. It is a giant serpent-like hideous human bent on destroying God and Country everywhere it slithers. .America must take note. Many antii-christs
-Anne Gelinasare working in our country to dismantle God, Country, Constitution, and our love of God. Take away God and America is done. Is that what we all want?
Anne, only Jesus Christ can bring down The Anti-Christ at the end of the Tribulation. There are no prayers that can bring him down. If you are talking about people who are against Christ like "anti-Christ" then yes we should pray that they will be brought down. I say this because I can't find any scripture that says we should pray for the destruction of The Anti-Christ. Those who are bringing down America are not only against Christ but believers who have turned their back to God and no longer live as the Bible teaches. Prayer is our greatest weapon if we learn how to pray.
-msjallenJohn 4:24 God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
We must worship God (includes prayer) in Spirit (in fellowship with God) and in truth (using the Word of God so we know how to pray and what to pray about) otherwise our prayers are not acknowledged by God.
This is because Islam is the only religion or political organization where an uneducated, mindless, crazed person can rise to a position of leadership simply be being the most horrific murderer imaginable. If you like to violate women, kill innocence, lie and cheat in the name of religion, then Islam is for you. What other religion condones a father murdering his daughters because the daughters appear to be Westernized. Recently a Muslim husband strangled his wife who had just given birth to their second daughter. The husband murdered his wife because he wanted a son and became enraged when the new borne was another girl. I bet this murder was never charged. Further he may have been given a high position in government. My statements here would be considered ignorent if they weren't so true.
-Ed in FloridaThat is almost like saying the Ford truck you drive doesn't exist because the Ford company never existed. DUH, isn't the Dome of the Rock built on TOP of the HOLY Jewish Temple mount? So how could it have never existed?
-vector357What a bunch of mindless Lemmings bent on violence. I am afraid they will all be martyrs soon.
-TedWhile we sit back and do nothing, muslims are dominating the world. The fact is that Isreal was conquered and a new shrine was erected by Islam. What needs to be done is Isreal needs to now conquer Islam and rebuild the temple as it says in the Bible. The crusades did not represent Christians but rather a political agendia discuised as Christians supposedly doing the work of God. America needs to learn it can't tell the rest of the countries on this planet what it can't or should do when it comes to protecting its own way of life. We can'y even protect our own, we are kissing up to every minority in order to be politically correct and it is corrupying our way of life.
-Wilbert JenningsYou are exactly right. We little people are fighting this maddness, but we have also put into office anti-GOD people who have power to fight with us, but will do nothing! SHAME ON US
-MyrtlelinderBefore you begin to reclaim ISRAEL, please art least learn to spell the name of that country correctly! Watch out for those "discuised" "agendis"s also.
-bighossTime to tell the Mufti that last year when they threw rocks at praying Jews was strike one, this was strike two, one more and they;re outta there! Tolerance has been practiced on both the sides of Jews and Christians; the muslims on the other hand have shown nothing but unprovoked violence. Any other tenant would already have been evicted.
-CincinnatusChrist would not have retaliated, so too, we as christians should not retaliate. God will handle all of this in his time, which is to be soon. All we can do is pray for these lost souls, and that is what they are. There are thousands of muslims all over the middle east that are coming to a saving knowledge of Christ and making a choice to be christians. For them, this is a death sentence. We over here in the U.S and Europe can mouth off and say things, but we, WE have not a clue what it is like for former muslims there. Are you willing to die for your beliefs.
-GoldengalP.S. we are all tenants here. It all be longs to God and He will evict them soon enough.
MUSLIMS are stoning Christians not Jews on a SO CALLED MUSLIM PROPAGANDA of taking over a temple that NO ONE has ever done OR EVEN SAID in a thousand plus years out of respect for GOD'S TEMPLE in that place previously'; is totally insane, illegal, immoral and THEY should be WARNED IN THE MEDIA TV AND NEWSPAPER THEY WILL BE FIRED ON if they ever do this again.
-muftiYou don't make sense.
-KHBIsrael is quite capable of handling its own affairs. The U.S. should keep our nose out of their business.
-Robert YoungIt is the business of the U.S. to protect it's citizens abroad. My wife and I were able to visit Temple Mount while in Jerusalem. We were not stoned. We were told we would not be able to enter the mosque. That was fine since we really did not want to enter it and would not have attempted to. What evidence is there that that was going to happen or is it just propaganda?
On another note this administration has shone almost complete indifference to christian persecution, murder and martyrdom worldwide. I would be surprised by even a statement out of the White House though anything is possible in an election year.
-Tom SSo Robert, have looked at a map lately? Israel is pretty small.
-Goldengal"Those that bless you will be blessed, and those who curse you will be cursed." God said this about Israel. Whose side do you want to be on. Everyone else in the world is turning a cold shoulder on Israel, the US, if we want to be on God's side, have an obligation to back Israel. Personally, I back Israel. If you look at the Old Testament, those who opposed Israel and God, were obliterated. Just because you have not personally seen anything like that and maybe think that it is just legend or fairy tales, doesn't mean that HE won't act and do it soon. All the stage is set and we are in the most incredible time in history. We will see our Lord God vindicated, finallly, and for all time. Praise Jesus.
I am surprised there is any mention at all on the internet. It is my belief that even the so called conservative on loine sites such as ConservativeByte.com no longer will allow commenting on matters that either are at best considered by them to be anti- Obama or establishment, they will not allow them space on the comment page. The wording they use is something like ‘you are commenting too fast, slow down, AND YOUR COMMENTS DO NOT APPEAR. i FIND THAT TO BE SO ANTI-aMERICAN.W hat has happened to free speach, only Obama and his mob get to say what they feel. The left winged media had a ball with Mr. Santorum’s comments on Obama’s ideals over the weekend. You would have thought the man said something really out of line. Is this where we are going, if so it is a pity only one side will ever be heard from and the rest of us just get “deleted”. How pathetic.
-bluqeYou are correct. Always deleted comments. Freedom of speech is gone. What everyone needs to research is the heart and soul of the "Black Liberation Theology" to truly understand the evil that is upon Americas Christians. The Worlds Christians!
-CheriThe Worlds Jews and Christians. We must know who we are up against, just Google it.
Santorum understands what we are up against. They will try to destroy him to shut him up.
Don't give up, keep on trying!!!
-MyrtlelinderSantorum is just another establishment Republican, a neo-con, a proponent of big government. He knows how to talk the talk, not walk the walk. Just check out his big-gov voting record.
-KalevI have had little problem posting on most conservative websites and no one can accuse me of being too mild in my comments. You may want to look at the language you are using.
-BobseeksYes!!! That does make a difference, though I have had some of mine deleted.
-MyrtlelinderThis has happened to me many times this week.
-LCDme likewise
-Pastor DwayneBluqe, I have found that to be true as well. Things are changing right before our eyes. It is time for America to turn back to God…
-msjallenII Peter 3:8… but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
Jer 17:5 Thus says the LORD," Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from the LORD
launch a bag of blood, call it pig blood, into the rock throwing crowd "fight is over"
-jerryThatsa good one Jerry! Pig blood eh….. Bahahahahahahahahahaha…..mm
-MADMEXNot that it is accurate in any way, but I realize that reality is a difficult concept for many Christians. But knock yourselves out, start throwing pigs blood and see what it accomplishes.
I've been unable to find any evidence corroborating the claim that Muslims believe that "eating or touching a pig, its meat, its blood, etc., is to be instantly barred from paradise and doomed to hell." It is true that Islamic dietary restrictions, like those of Judaism, forbid the eating or handling of pork because pigs are considered unclean. But according to Raeed Tayeh of the American Muslim Association in North America, the notion that a Muslim would be denied entrance to heaven for touching a pig is "ridiculous." A statement from the Anti-Defamation League characterizes the claim as an "offensive caricature of Muslim beliefs.
-Jeff DixonIt would be interesting to see a meteor burning a hot path to the Dome of the Rock some night, reducing that shrine to the murderous pedophile caravan raider in smoking ruins. That would be an ACT of GOD, right? Of course, the Revelation of John in the Holy Bible prophesies the Third Temple of the Jews, yet to rise, will enthrone the Antichrist!
-David McElroyAnd that third temple in reality will sit on the old site of the original temple only much smaller . It will sit right next to the Dome of the rock and be in its right place
-Pastor DwayneThe earth would turn much smoother if there were no arabs on it. I have reduced the arab problem to one sentence. KILL EVERY ARAB ON EARTH….when you see an arab…KILL IT ! Sounds radical does it ? How do you feel when you see an arab holding up a sign that says..ISLAM WILL DOMINATE THE WORLD ? Enough of this BS. There is no such thing as a Palestinian. It's a made up name to give these useless vermin arabs a name. IF YOU SEE AN ARAB..KILL IT. If you don't rest assured that the arab will kill you ! If a rogue bunch of vermin like the arabs were lobbing missiles into America, how long would it take for America to put an end to that problem ? Everytime the Israeli's want to do that America starts jumping up and down and interferring with what Israel needs and wants to do. While there is no argument that God can move mountains, He expects us to bring the shovel. In other words God will destroy the arabs but he expects us to do our part.
-EddieEddie, take your meds and get some rest.
-Jeff DixonYou too, Jeff and ask GOD for HIS help in getting your life straightened out and to remove all of the hate toward HIM adn HIS people.
-MyrtlelinderMy life is straightened out. I do not hate mythical deities, Christians or any theists. I dislike what religions do to the world. Much of the problems we experience on a daily basis are attributed to the problems that religions have created in this world.
Until mankind learns to put these childish notions behind us, religion will continue to act like an anchor around the progress of our species.
-Jeff DixonNow, this is really amusing. Eddie wants to kill every Arab, even though they are not all Muslims and many are Christians, and he has received 7 thumbs up for his insane comment from the insane Christians on this site. You all are just too funny for words.
-Jeff DixonEddie, how about the Arabs who are Christians or those who that will become Christians? I am a little less radical in that I would like to see all mosque in America removed and all Muslims told to leave, as we know the koran allows muslims to lie (which should be a dead give away to those who study that book that a perfect God would not, or could not condone ANY unrighteousness) so you know you really can't trust any of them. We should also stand with Israel as if we were one.
-DorseyI think that is what Hitler said about Jews: "If you see one, kill him/her." And so the Germans killed men, women and children–the vast majority of who were innocent. Is this what you're advocating? I sincerely hope not. Muslims are all children of God, just like you and me. And many times we must suffer as we seek their conversion. That is NOT to say that we should not defend ourselves–both my sons served in your American Armed forces (Marines and CIA) and were well within their rights to defend themselves, but I don't think we should advocate genocide…as you just did.
-Esteban CafeOnly believers in Jesus Christ are children of God. Unbelievers are not in the family of God until they believe in Jesus as their savior.
-msjallenLast February, Hussain spent 20 million dollars to bring 100 thousand of these "peaceful" Palistinians here to America with all the rights of the Illegal aliens! They get all the perks that the illegals get, free everything!!!!! Hussain wants these terrorists over here to help him destroy this country!
-kRISArabs are not the only Moslems on Earth, why pick on them or do you just not like their clothing?
-LCDAs a Muslim told me once ( most muslims seem and look innocent and nice ) , but then he said "wait til the rubber hits the road"" It is getting ready to get bad , as the Prophet Daniel said would happen!!!
-Pastor DwayneWell, if one Muslim said it, it must be true.
-Jeff DixonEddie, only the musloid Arabs need to die, not all Arabs believe in that pedophile Muhammad or his sumerian moon god named allah.
-KalevThe Hebrews also believed in more than one god at one point.
He would have been to them simply God." http://einhornpress.com/yahweh.aspx
The propagation of Islamism is a direct result of the failure of the church to Evangelize. Where once Christian, though Coptic, houses of worship once stood, there are now Mosques. See Constantinople . . .With the deterioration of the early churches and the removal of the candlesticks this 'satanized' religion swept into the void. What we see now is the continuation of that 'sweeping' religion. Most all of their texts are void of any truth and like 'gang mentality' on our own soil it is easy for them to see 'non-believers' as the one and only enemy of their state. To follow their Imams to the death is the only directive they understand. To die for a cause may very well be noble….to die for a lie is disastrous. PRAY for the PEACE OF JERUSALEM…..
-JohnOh the irony – The Christian bible says to stone people too.
And your solution is to kill people instead of stoning them – so that makes you better than Muslims.
What a complete farce religion is.
-ChrisAnd when did true Christians kill defenseless people who were not bothering them? And when did true Christians last stone someone? As usual, your ignorance, hatred of the truth, and lying nature are exposed for all to see. We will pray for you and your fellow atheist bigots. When GOD does reveal to you the fact that you have been believing in myths and fables spun by atheist liars, you are really going to be embarrassed. I hope it is not when you have to face Jesus at the judgment.
-BobseeksWhen did the true Muslims, Hindu's or any religious group you care to name actually kill defenseless people that were not bothering them. All religious groups claim that they people who use violence are not true believers of their faith. Christians are no different.
-Jeff DixonChris, it was in the old testament of the Bible that people were stoned. In the New Testament, once Jesus Christ came to earth and died for our sins, stoning ceased. The only way to atone for sins now is to believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He only can and did atone for all the sins of the world, past and present, through His death on the cross. Jesus Christ is God, the same yesterday, today and forever. Only He will stand forever along with those who believe in Him. Praise God. Praise Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. In the end all those who do not believe in Jesus Christ will be judged and will go to Hell.
-gracemarieHave you actually read any of the "Old" Testament?
-KalevMatthew 7:21-23 (NASU), “21"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22"Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' 23"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS (Psalm 6:8).'”
The reason Jesus did not know them——1Cor. 13:1-2 "" Though I speak with the tongues of men and of Angels,
-Pastor Dwayneand have not love in my heart, I am become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. vs 2. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love in my heart, I am nothing ""
gracemarie, wasn't Steven stoned? Wasn't that in the NT? Paul was stoned but not to death; wasn't that in the NT?
-msjallenThat was ignorant & false Jews trying to get rid of true Christians. Gracemarie is talking about stoning for punishment.
-aldotooI will try to make it clearer for you: Stoning did not stop after Jesus Christ came to earth. Also, stoning was used to kill; not just to punish.
-msjallenHey Chris, just goes to show everyone on this chat that you obviously have no clue what the Bible says. The Christian Bible as you put it says, "He who is Blameless and Free of Sin, cast the first stone".
-Mocha 10Mocha 10 that was before the Law was done away with and before Jesus died.
-aldotooShut up and go away idiot.
-KalevThink– do Christians stone people now? The ISLAMISTS DO . They do a lot more than that to upset the "apple-cart" with their 7th century culture. Do you stand there and let them "bully" you. Hell no! You fight back. That is exactly what our military is not letting happen. The PC of the government is disgusting. If it is war then we do WAR. We need to support Isreal.
-King DavidCheck your Bible… you must be in the stone age!
-DennisSo, lemme get this straight. Some islamic nutter decided all on his own that the Izzies were going to enter and deface the precious islamic mosques on the Temple Mount, so he sends a mob of 50 or so islamic dingbats to throw stones at Christian folks who were peacefully checking out the Temple Mount, causing Izzy police injuries, and they want sympathy?
Eddie might have a point.
And folks keep on kissing their heinies? And making concessions? To a group that never, ever, makes concessions?
-DockyWockyIslam is like locusts, you can't stop them but you hope they eat each other and die off!!!
-stevenHow interesting that you say that the Arabs are the Locust Army and they are all swarming.
-GailThis world is sick and islam is its WORST Disease! This world WOULD be at least marginally Better…certainly SAFER
-Kevin Millerwithout it! I always believe in the Erradication of Pedophiles,Rapists and Murderers….and the Cult of islam dominates the rest of the world in All 3! Not only do they deserve this action, the dome of the rock and other Mosques in Israel,America,England and other Supposed-To-Be-Christian nations need to be turned to rubble,as well! These people are an Infestation whose influence can mean the end of the Christian World if we continue to bow to their every whim
and cater to their every demands. We MUST Stop being carpets for muslims to walk all over,NOW!
An appeal to unbelieving agnostics and or atheist. You have learned in life that there are things that exist you can not sense. There are gases you have excepted as existing through science. Consider that just because you can not sense God, doesn't mean he doesn't exist. He does although show himself to those who believe but honestly you can not understand this in your unbelief. You would have to allow your self to drop the defenses you have formed to block any consideration of his existence before he would show you he is real and present. If you will open your soul to the possibility God may exist, he will show you in some small way that he does. His plan elevates man kind above angles by grace, because he has designed our plan to live with free will and that we believe with out seeing, will likely be used to demonstrate his perfect justice and perfect righteousness when condemning the angles who have used their free will but who did see their creator, who are tremendously more intelligent and powerful than we are but have fallen with the arrogant use of their free will. The grace is God taking on the burden like putting on a back pack. He with out change of his all perfect attributes took on becoming humanity that lived among us with out sin to be judged for all the sins of man kind, so that if we will only except him, his efficacious work of enduring our transgressions on that cross, we are saved from our selves from being condemned by the only perfect God who can not have association with unrighteousness. Believing cost you nothing but it cost him more than can be conceived and his perfect attributes will not allow him outside of his plan that justifies us to save us by any other means!
As someone has said that does make so much sense, it would be better to live ones life in belief and worship of a creator and find out that he does not exist, than to ignor the grace of the creator/ savior and find out when it is too late that he does exist.
-DorseyExcellent post!!
-MyrtlelinderDorsey, excellent comment; good Bible Doctrine. I always enjoy reading this kind of information from others on this site.
-msjallenWhenever I debate with Christians, there comes a point when they will say something to the effect of, "If you are right, then at least I led a good life, however if I am right, then you will end up in Hell." This is, of course, Pascal's Wager. It also begs the question of whether or not they actually led a "good" life. I have known many Christians who cheated, lied, fornicated and stole, among other "sins". Whether their lives were any more moral or better than others is highly debatable. In addition, it assumes that the atheist did not live a good life, which is very insulting. If you are not familiar with the idea of Pascal's Wager, let me provide some background information.
Pascal’s Wager is the idea that regardless of whether the existence of God can be proven through rational means, one should live their life as though God does exist, because living your life that way means you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. It was proposed by a French philosopher, mathematician and physicist named Blaise Pascal.
However, there are several problems with this idea.
First, it assumes that there are only two alternatives to choose from; belief and disbelief in the biblical god. However, that is not accurate. There are thousands of different gods that mankind has dreamt up over the centuries. Therefore, he must also choose the correct deity to believe in. If the Romans, Hindus, Aztecs, Muslims, early Greeks or any of the thousands of other gods were correct, then the Christian is in as big of a problem as the atheist. Now, I am sure the Christian is not worried about whether the Greek or Aztec gods of old are the correct deity. Yet, why not? Millions of people have believed in these gods, with the same devote fervour as current day Christians. It could also be possible that the true god has not yet been revealed. It has been said many times, that there is little difference between a theist and an atheist. A theist does not believe in all of the thousands of other gods that mankind has thought up over the centuries, they just believe in the one they think is correct. An atheist agrees that all the other gods are myths and fables, we just add one more to the list; the one the theist believes in.
Second, even if the Christian God is the correct deity, there is still a problem of deciding which of the 30,000 Christian sects worships him the correct way. If the Catholics are right, then the Protestants have a problem, and of course, the reverse is true for the Catholic. If the Mormons are right, then most of the two billions Christians in the world have a huge problem.
Keep in mind that Pascal was a Catholic, and he was advocating for the Catholic version of Christianity. This always make it even more ironic when Protestants invoke his arguments.
Third, if you only say you believe in order to hedge your bet for getting into heaven, it is doubtful that an all knowing god would let you in anyway, since you really did not believe. You simply went through the motions.
Fourth, it assumes that God would only reward a believer no matter what other circumstances exist. It is certainly possible that God would reward rational and researched reasoning and punish blind or feigned faith.
Consider this argument given by Thomas Jefferson: "Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because, if there be one, he must more approve the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear."
Richard Carrier adds to this idea with this statement: "Suppose there is a god who is watching us and choosing which souls of the deceased to bring to heaven, and this god really does want only the morally good to populate heaven. He will probably select from only those who made a significant and responsible effort to discover the truth. For all others are untrustworthy, being cognitively or morally inferior, or both. They will also be less likely ever to discover and commit to true beliefs about right and wrong. That is, if they have a significant and trustworthy concern for doing right and avoiding wrong, it follows necessarily that they must have a significant and trustworthy concern for knowing right and wrong. Since this knowledge requires knowledge about many fundamental facts of the universe (such as whether there is a god), it follows necessarily that such people must have a significant and trustworthy concern for always seeking out, testing, and confirming that their beliefs about such things are probably correct. Therefore, only such people can be sufficiently moral and trustworthy to deserve a place in heaven — unless God wishes to fill heaven with the morally lazy, irresponsible, or untrustworthy."
Fifth, it makes the assumption that a person can make themselves believe. This is, of course, nonsense. A person either actually believes something or they do not. You cannot force yourself to believe something. If someone was standing over you with a gun and said you either believe that green Martians are ruling the planet or I will kill you. You might tell them you believe. You might profess it wholeheartedly. You might sign a declaration to this statement. But you would not believe it.
So, does Pascal's Wager hold up to scrutiny? I wouldn't bet on it.
-Jeff DixonHe who is Blameless, cast the 1st stone!
-Mocha 10So you have no objection to what those musloids did to the Christians?
-KalevIt would indeed be a traviste to live this life and miss THE ONE that created it and all things. Why would anyone not acknowledge the power and might of our CREATOR? Common sense speaks for itself, can anything be made from nothing
-CAPTAINSWAYabsolutely not. Scientists with all their education cannot determine THE TRUTH unless they themselves want to know THE TRUTH. If all they are looking for is to elevate self, they have missed the boat and have sealed their destiny. Life is to short to gamble one's eternity to chance. Be advised, knock, seek, and ye shall find the real TRUTH. For our GOD is a GOD of LOVE, MERCY, FAITHFULNESS, GOODNESS, KINDNESS, JUSTICE, FORGIVENESS, LONG-SUFFERING, PURE, HOLY, RIGHTEOUSNESS, JOY, and PEACE. Our GOD does not ask us to commit suicide and kill others for HIS cause. What kind of god would ask HIS followers to do this kind of hurendous act?
Why are we sending aid to terrorists?
-Rocket ManBecause our POTUS is a muslim. When ever a decision is to be made that includes mulims, our POTUS always comes down on the mulim side. The same with oil, he will not permit us to drill for our own oil because it would take money from the ME muslims who hate us.
-Robert FGGenesis 16
-David11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
Only through Jesus can any man's sinful nature be changed. Muslims are not the only people or religious group who persecute Christians and Jews. Many so called Christians have done equally terrible things to Jews and to other Christians. Today there are radical Jews who are becoming violent towards other Jews and Christians.
Jesus answer is that we are to love our enemies, where ever we find them. David, King of Israel knew enemies who were also the children of Israel, even his own sons. He prayed for them.
Verse 12 says it all…i have NEVER met a peace loving Muslim, one who is decent in nature and loves God. It is their intent on world domination, nothing less and they will use anything towards that end–including murder–as they have demonstrated in the events of 9/11–and 15 of the 19 were Saudi Arabians NOT Iraqis or Afghans. America invaded the wrong countries simply because of an imbecile who stole a U.S. election based on his family ties to "Ishmael"…a religion that falsely grants 72 virgins to the "martyr" who sacrifices his/herself in Gods name, who subjugate and mutilate women, worship money and lie to get what ever they desire. There is nothing holy or sacred about Islam! Get that straight and America will change its destiny for the better…
-AckusarIslam is a pseudo-religion and really is a socio-political-legal system imposing its beliefs upon all non-muslims..even unto death. It takes only a muslim-loving illegitimate president (Obama) to love Islam and hate Christianity and Israel…and God will bring His wrath and judgment upon this nation for allowing him to act against this nation and its people.
-WinstonYes – islam advocates the oppression and murder of those who have not bought into old mo's lies. These rock throwers are actually the most faithful muslims. That should make all the appeasers who preach tolerance think twice.
-BobseeksThe sad part is that on the FOX news today I heard a commentator defending 0's belief as a Christian because 0 said he was at the National Prayer Breakfast. Even a well know preacher believe he is a Christian. It is amazing how 0 is fooling so many people or do they just want to believe he is.
-msjallenWhy do Christians continue to visit these sites where chances are the "peaceful" islamists are going to shower them with their particular type of love and affection? If we stopped visiting them I'm sure their economy would suffer.
-OrlandoRicanBecause we are curious to know not only where we come from but from what culture and belief system. Unfortunately, sometimes we get the non virtual display when we visit these sites.
-LCDMore fuzzy muzzy moderate Head Hunters, aren't they just so cute when they stone someone, and the subheadings to the beheading's, are just superbly done! Touche' Lilttle Ragheads Touche'. Allah Sahtan is doing an absolutely wonderful, wonderful, job recruiting all these dead & dying Mooslums. I can hear Johnny Cash singing to them now, My name is Sam Hall, Damn Their Eyes…We better start getting into the mindset that our days are numbered, mentally preparing for the worst, these people have fellow Americans supporting them, for they have a mutual enemy in us as Christian Conservatives, damn their eyes!
-jericho777These people believe in a major error. The god they serve was out of his mind. This incident is disturbing but we must realize that with Mr 0 in office this will begin to happen here in the US. There will be protection for this action if Holder is still around. We need to earnestly pray for peace in the Holy Land as well as a Great Awakening world wide as well as a new government in America. God help us.
-gerryFOOLISH MUSLIMS! ! !
-dbassdGods chosen people, and they want to cause problems.
The American people doesn't want the Muslims in this country telling them what to do or invading their space! The Muslims don't want the Americans in their country invading their space either! The differance is, the Muslims have all the backbone and will do something about it! The cowardly Americans don't have the backbone to do anything!!!!!! The Hispanics come into this country and s**t all over you cowards!
-Herr Capitan FickYes, the cowardly Americans who fought a war to free the slaves, helped the Europeans win WW I&II and have been in the forefront of the war against terrorism. If only they had a backbone like the Muslims who will blow up small children.
-Jeff DixonWW11 was a differant breed of people! The Muslims may blow up women and children but they're still winning the war! The alies bombed and killed women and children! That's how wars are won, stupid! When you fight a powerful country, you have to fight a gorilla war fare! Viet Namise beat France and America with gorilla ware fare! That's how America beat England! Now keep fighting your clean war! That's why the foreigners are running you out of your country! So keep being nice! Damn you people are sure stupid!
-Herr Capitan FickBetween 800,000 and 900,000 Muslims have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq since the U.S. and coalition attacks, based on lowest credible estimates.
The US has lost 6800 troops.
To claim that the Muslims are beating the US is to put your fingers in your ears and close your eyes to the reality of what is occurring. The war on terror is hardly over, but we hardly losing it.
You are calling our service people cowards and I say you are an idiot.
-Jeff DixonLook around in your country… They're changing your politics and country! They beat their enemy from within! In case you people are tooooo stupid to know it, you're their enemy from within!!!!
-Herr Capitan FickMore nonsense. Name these events that have been changed in our country by the Muslims.
-Jeff DixonEveryone appears to be speaking about religion. When is anyone going to realize that Christainity is not a religion, but a relationship. There are but a few times that the word relgion appears in the bible and most of these times it is spoken of negatively.
-JPMThey are not going to realize it for Christianity is a religion, just the same as the other religions.
-Jeff DixonThank you, JPM, you are absolutely correct just like the religious leaders in Jesus' day; the Pharisees and Sadducees.
-msjallenThey say the Jewish people will build a Temple on the site. Yet they see nothing wrong with building a mosque onthe 9/11 site.
-GuestWell, they actually want to build it two blocks away from the 9/11 site, but do not let reality intrude on your delusion.
-Jeff DixonThat's because the American public are a bunch of panty lace cowards!
-Herr Capitan FickMUSLIMS here in America demand TOLERANCE – so where is the OUTCRY from them condemning this CRIME?
-ceejayWe should DEMAND that AID TO PALESTINIANS should be STOPPED . Our TAX DOLLARS aid in PERSECUTING FELLOW CHRISTIANS..
That's because not only are the Americans cowards, but stupid toooooooooo!!!!!!!! Now go back to sleep, you have lost your country!
-Herr Capitan FickWhen Muslims themselves are busy undermining the Temple Mount (which means that the mosques could easily collapse on their own)–well it shows what I've oft stated "hypocrisy, thy name is Islam!"!
-DevasahayamThese Muslims are like Lemmings, they haven't got a brain between them. Another thing to think about is, they have no shame or they wouldn't of done that. A "smart" Muslim, if there were any , would of just walked away.
-Carla MWhen is this kind of battle going to end. It does nobody any good to kill each other, that is unless your into blood and
they seem to be wanting that.
Muslims seem to be winning! Americans are a bunch of loosers! Come on in, our government tells us to me nice to you. You can rob us, push us around, we will educate you, give you our jobs, you can rape our children even kill us! We're even stupid enough to pay you to do it! Doesn't sound like people that's smart enough to govern themselves! Man you people are stupid and the world knows it! The only people that doesn't know it are the stupid Americans!
-Herr Capitan FickAnd here in the USA, we are ostracised for making any sort of comment derogatory to islam. This is not a level playing field and we must resist all who tell us that islam is a peaceful religion. It does not appear that islam is a religion at all but a political movement.
-Robert FGNonsense, people in this country make derogatory comments about Islam all the time with no repercussions from the government.
And as far as a religion being a political movement, the Christians in this country are always talking, inaccurately, about taking their country back at the ballot box. That is also a religious group making a political movement.
-Jeff Dixonsend sean stone (son of oliver stone) to promote his so-called peaceful religion. islam is the biggest evil in this world.
-Matt" Praise the Lord", When O'bama was running for the Presidency the first time, I heard that the Chinese Christians were praying for us. it seems they were concerned for America ,GOD knows what is happening at all times, He says, " Trust Me", and have hope. Pray and leave it to him. " Don't get envolved in the Devil's snare with all the hate that your spewing, none of us like what's going on, Become a believer & trust our Lord & Saviour.
-SallyTHIS is supposed to be the religion of "PEACE!!!!!!!" Give me a break!!!!!!
-DonnaActually, Islam means submission, not peace.
-Jeff DixonIslam is a religion of DEATH and that is a fact!
-ORBIslam is nothing but a big Pty Ltd. What is this Halaal nonsence all about, except it be to wring money out of mostly Christian
-Donusers of products. A very clever way of getting a levy on virtually everything sold in shops.
Here is the kind of rank nuttiness that all this premillennialist Christian Zionist mythology leads to:
-bighosshttp://old.nationalreview.com/dreher/dreher041102…
Muslims a cursed lot – that's the 'why' they reject the 'book'. – sentenced to follow a 'blind leader' – and .. if the 'blind lead the blind' …
-JPWJust destroy it. Mohammed! on a white horse? Nonsense
-LarryWe need to run them all out of are country let them go to there country and kill each other they are all wothless pices of crap
-Maxinefrom the mouth of Adolph Hussein obama came the words Christians need to hear and do unto others before they do unto you, obama said ''if they bring a knife we bring a gun '' I say leave the knives at home and bring the biggest guns we have to rid the world of the cancer that is called islam………………ALL MUSLIMS ARE OUR ENEMYS to think different or to wait for God to rid us of this disease is a false believe , it is up to Christians to fight back , all the muslims feed off of our ''turning the other cheek'' they will only cut you twice by turning your other cheek to them , I say dont turn the other cheek but kick the devils a s s
