The Biggest Christian Media and Social Networking Website?

Truli, the latest and possibly the biggest Christian social networking and content distribution website, is set to launch this summer, promising Christian artists unique opportunities for sharing their content with a broader audience.

Truli will not only serve as a social networking website, like Facebook, it will also feature sermons, music, concerts, movies, comedy and Internet/TV programs that the online community can enjoy, making it stand out from other Christian social networking websites — such as the dating site ChristianMingle.com or the social JesusKlub.com.

The name, Truli, was apparently inspired from the Bible, from all the instances in which Jesus begins his sentences with the word “truly.” One example the company’s website offers is from John 3:11 : “Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen…”

Truli promises to open doors to new and diverse audiences for Christian musicians and filmmakers, who may have found it challenging to distribute their material in a largely secular-dominated entertainment industry. The network’s subscription costs $9.95 a month, and will also be accessible on tablet and smartphone devices.

  1. If the networking site is "truly" Christian, then why the subscription fee…. except that atheists likely would not want to spend money to mock and scoff other's beliefs?

    • Do you suppose the ones doing this beautiful, wonderful thing are rich? It takes money, a lot of money to do something like this. Even if they were rich their money would soon run out without some assistance. Why is it that so many people are looking for something for nothing??? If you can't pay it forget it, just don't whine!! If they are wrong in charging, they will pay for it int the end!!!

    • So, in your mind truly Christian means never charging for a service??????? lol

  2. I was so excited when I started to read this article, and I was thinking about signing up for it …

… until I found out that it would cost me $9.95 a month.

Truli should offer more than one subscription package, including one that's free.

  3. Jeff: Will you, just ONCE, ease up on people here?! It seems that you are ALWAYS attacking us for SOMETHING – even if it's trivial. You and I both know that if I had been an atheist, you would NOT have said what you just said to me!

FYI, Jeff: There are many people (myself included) who cannot afford to pay $10.00/month for something so frivolous as a subscription to a social network! See, we're having a difficult time as it is; you know, trying to earn enough to keep roofs over our heads; purchase groceries and clothing; gasoline. You know, the necessities.

But hey! I guess if they're CHRISTIANS, and if it's a CHRISTIAN social network site, it doesn't matter to you! Right?

Back off, Jeff! Just once, in your miserable life, BACK OFF!

    • And FYI, Jeff: If I remember correctly, my complaints about the OWS people had to do with the fact that a few of the protesters who had been allowed to stay in one particular church (or maybe it was more than one church) took advantage of the church's generosity by STEALING from them.

Get your facts straight, Jeff. For ONCE!

      -Linda F.
      • My facts are always straight. You wanted a private company to give you something for free. The OWS people also want things for free. There is no difference.

        -Jeff Dixon
    • If you were an atheist, you would not be posting nonsense all the time.

  4. Our friend Jeff is utterly miserable and wants everyone else to be as well. I don't think we should oblige him, do you?

  5. Will someone please recommend a Christian social networking site that is free of charge?

    -Linda F.
  6. I believe paying for the new Truli site is OK. Just look what people spend their money on. Many Christians Must have soda pop, junk food, pay for movies that are NOT good to watch and the list goes on and on.

  7. First time visiting this sight. You Christians sound just like the rest of the world. Not much of Christ's light shinnining here. Think I'll move on. I wonder how many seeking a clean, safe, perhaps a Christian social media sight, got turned off by your bickering. Who may have changed their mind about Chritianity? Think about it, and build up one another, not tear down. Be Christlike.
