Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning is leading several other legal advisors in filing suit against ObamaCare because of the controversial mandate that violates religious freedom.

“Seven states have filed a lawsuit against the federal government based on their latest ruling that employers must provide coverage for contraception, sterilization, and, most importantly, abortifacients, such as the ‘morning-after’ pill,” Bruning details.

The lawsuit claims it is clearly unconstitutional for the federal government to force people to pay for coverage they believe is morally wrong. While the Nebraska AG recognizes that that involves the First Amendment, he also points out that Congress has violated the Commerce Clause of the Constitution, which gives it the power “to regulate commerce…among the several states.”
