That's a ridiculous statement. The crime rate is lower in Europe. Fewer murders, less violent crime. If they weren't enforcing laws and backing enforcement up with punishment their crime rate would be higher.

There are fewer people in prison because they do not have the guts to enforce laws; it is that simple. Also, they do not subsidize the criminal factories to the extent we do with welfare.

Fact:

Western Europe has fewer murders, fewer violent crimes of all types and fewer people incarcerated and far more more Atheists,per capita than the US. Because I can read, I don't need to go there to learn that.
