President Obama: A Dominion Theocrat?

In his February 2012 National Prayer Breakfast speech, President Obama called for making his "Christian" utopian values the values of our nation by law. Doesn't this mean the President is advocating theocratic dominion? The Right Wing Reverend explains.

          Show me a text that puts a gap of indefinite time between the 69th and 70th weeks of Daniel’s prophecy (9:24–27) and between Revelation 3 and 4.

          Show me a New Testament text that clearly shows that Israel becoming a nation again is the timing key for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

          Show me how Jesus’ use of “this generation” in the Olivet Discourse (Matt. 24:34; Mark 13:30; Luke 21:32) means something different from the way “this generation” is used by Jesus in every other instance.

          Explain how time words like “near,” “shortly,” “quickly,” and “at hand” mean something different from they are used in the Bible and ordinary speech.

            Not to defend any of the athiests here but the pre-Trib rapture theory is false and it originated about 1840. Nowhere does the Bible support a secret snatching away of any believers. Those that believe this lie will not make it through the Great Tribulation to see Yeshua physical descend and He ascended.

I have always understood the "weeks" of Daniel 9 to be symbolic of another time period because a literal 70 weeks makes no sense. As for a "gap" of indefinite time between Revelation 3 and 4, the Book of Revelation is a series of visions/prophecies and is not intended to be chronological, so my answer is that there is no 'gap' because there is no requirement that the messages to the churches (chapter 3) necessarily has to chronologically precede the visions in chapter 4.

            "Show me a New Testament text that clearly shows that Israel becoming a nation again is the timing key for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. " There is no NT text that clearly shows this but there is a verse that can be interpreted this way:
            "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

            So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors." Matthew 24:32-33

            The interpretation is that Israel is the fig tree, and putting forth leaves indicates becoming a nation again. Matthew 24 is very definitely talking about the end times, so those that interpret Israel as the fig tree, which has some justification, believe that Israel becoming a nation again in 1948 was a signpost that we are near the end.

            "Show me how Jesus’ use of “this generation” in the Olivet Discourse (Matt. 24:34; Mark 13:30; Luke 21:32) means something different from the way “this generation” is used by Jesus in every other instance. "
            The word "generation" is never defined numerically or chronologically in the Bible to my knowledge. It usual says "this generation" but the word "this" is not specified, so we do not know for certain whether it refers to the people being spoken to, or to a certain period of years, or something else.

            To further complicate the issue, we read in Matthew 1:1: "The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham." What is "the generation of Jesus Christ"? Is it referring to the persons that preceded Jesus in the genealogy that follows (14 X 3) or does it refer to the New Testament period which was ushered in by Jesus arrival, or something else altogether? I do not have a definite answer.

            "Explain how time words like “near,” “shortly,” “quickly,” and “at hand” mean something different from they are used in the Bible and ordinary speech." We would have to look at the context of each use of the words on a case-by-case basis in order to determine the meanings and implications of each. I cannot give you a one-size-fits-all answer, and besides, we are not very concerned with how the words are used in modern-day English when studying the Bible because the modern definitions may not mesh well with the way they were translated. We would need to compare Scripture with Scripture, and study how they were translated in comparative passages.

    Guest, since when does someone need the Constitution's guarantee in order to choose which god he will serve? Free choice is a matter of the heart and conscience regardless whether the Constitution declares we have the free choice to choose or not. If not, we're really in trouble!

      Just think about it. If obama had been in that church then the man serving as our president is an imposter. Rev. Wright may have thought it was obama in his church but I think not. He acts like an atheist because he cannot really express his muslim views. He would take the muslim religion over the christian one and that makes him contradict what muslims teach. He would be subject to death like all other infidels if he makes christianity his absolute religion. Not one muslim has dared attack his views on being a christian and yet they will not spare the life of any other infidel anywhere in the world who does claim their christianity. Doesn't that seem odd that they don't attack him for his belief but they are willing to attack the rest of us for ours? So it is odd why the muslim population is keeping quiet while this president is in office.

Christians, while not forsaking doing what we can to improve this world, let's please reject the idolatrous hope of setting up the Kingdom in this world! As Revelations 21 indicates, the Heavenly Kingdom will come down from Heaven at the right time. We will not build it here. Our Great Commission is to make disciples and citizens of this future Kingdom, who will also bless this current sin-cursed world.

    The only concerns I have regarding religion in America are two . One , As America moves farther from Christianity , the more it fails as a free nation , Two , Islam , because it is so much more than a religion , and not in a good way , our freedom of religion laws should not include it as a religion . Islam is an abomination in human rights and civility .

    Obama's Christian utopian values? His actions have shown nothing but disdain for Christianity. His Utopia is full of Imams and sharia and the "sweetest sound on Earth", as Obama said, the call to Islamic prayer.

    Jesus never promised us Heaven on Earth. He promised us salvation and comfort to go through hard times.

    1. Sponsoring Muslim nations while attacking Christians, Catholics, and Israel
    2. Lying and deception
    3. Trying to control every aspect of our lives
    4. Disrespecting the Constitution which was based on Biblical principles
    5. Disrespecting the God-given, God-honored freedom of choice by trying to force us to accept what we don't want (like
    Obamacare)
    6. Traitorously trying to ignore and bypass anyone who disagrees with him – like Congress and the Supreme Court – and
