Black Leaders Fueling Racial Division for Political Gain

Black political leaders, such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, have used the death of Trayvon Martin to stir racial division for political gain, Carol Swain, professor of law and political science at Vanderbilt University, argued in a Tuesday interview with The Christian Post.

Most Americans, Swain believes, wanted an investigation into the Feb. 26 incident in which George Zimmmerman, 28, shot and killed Martin, 17, while on neighborhood watch. Martin was unarmed and walking to his father's fiance's house. Zimmerman claims he was assaulted and shot Martin in self-defense.

After black political leaders became involved, though, "it quickly became a racial issue fueling racial divide in America," Swain said.

Swain is an expert on race relations, immigration, black leadership and evangelical politics. Her newest book is called Be the People: A Call to Reclaim America's Faith and Promise.

Today's black leaders "don't put forth ideas and solutions that advance the cause of black people," Swain said. Rather, they "prefer to heat up the situation."

Sharpton, jackson and other black "leaders" thrive politically and economically by waving the bloody shirt of racism every chance they get. Sharpton tried to lynch some white men in the Tawana Bradley case and he, the media, jackson, and maobama are trying to lynch Zimmerman in this case. The black community will never progress until it rids itself of race-traitors/parasites like sharpton and jackson and until it turns away from the lies of lieberalism.

It is the strife, that is the issue here It all stems from our black leader which they are afraid will not get into office another four years. It constantly amazes me that these so-called leaders are referred to as "reverend". To me, the word "reverend" refers to a man who pastors a church full time, and is busy about the Lord's business of saving souls for His kingdom. They claim Zimmerman was the first one to mention race,but it comes out that NBC was the one who "Edited" the 911 tapes that made it sound like Zimmerman was a Racists,but when it was played in it's entirety it was the 911 operator who ask what race Trayvon was?Then there was the way they described this Zimmerman was a"White/Mexican" Do we describe Obama was a White /Black man! I'm A native/White/ American! and Like Obama we describe our selves as who we most associate with.Even Obama doesn't say he's is of mixed race on his taxes? He says he's Black,well why didn't they say George Zimmerman was just of Mexican decent?Because it would't have made page #3 if it was just another multiracial murder that happens "everyday"of the week".

I feel sorry for the parents but Trayvon isn't the first,or last victim of a senseless killing.But to make it about Race when it was a matter of ,Was it self defense or was it just murder? In Tulsa ,Okla there was 3 blacks killed and one white man,but they quickly said it was race motivated?Because of the publicity of the Trayvon killing.When they finally caught the shooters, One was Black and the other White!

  There is the beginnings of a possible race riot going on in TULSA right now because of those killings. When it first came out about the shootings it was said someone saw a white man driving a white pick-up truck around the area. So apparently he was the driver and the black man was the shooter. But the black community doesn't see it that way. I think, if I remember right, their bond is set at 9.1 million dollars and even that doesn't stop the black community from being up in arms. Kinda sounds like they wanted the bond to be lower so the accused could be bonded out and then the black community would save the state money that would have been spent on their trials. Someone is egging all this racial garbage on.. Murders, killings, robberies, etc have been going on for years by blacks and whites (and other races). I for one am SICK AND TIRED of the race card being played!!! The is SUPPOSED to be a civilized country but of late it seems like civility has gone by the wayside to be replaced with fearmongering, hate, riots, murders and needless bloodshed, one lie after the other. The people at the top are egging it on and pushing the envelope this ELECTION year to get more votes from the black community to keep Obama in the White House… a blind man could even see that (no disrespect to blind people intended). When they get their way and he's re-elected they will be kicked to the curb just like they were after he was first elected-except this time it will be permanent…..

  Chrispy, you would do well to wait and hope the justice system can prevail as the facts, on both sides are presented, in the trial of Zimmerman. You would do well to hold your judgment until you have been given evidence from both sides and not the typical media reporting which would tend to inform you of their perspectives, not the facts. The media will hype the racist card at every opportunity and will demand justice, even though they trample on objectivity and rationality in every article. Stay away from black or white racists, politicians, and anyone who presumes to "know the truth" of what happened. And, above all, try to foster confidence in humans to seek justice, regardless of outcome, in this trial.

There should be laws to prevent these opportunists to milk hatred by creating it. This is a sick bunch that learned from the democrats that by showing some hypocritical interest on a group you got their vote, or money, or both. I think people that get tax credits as a "Reverend" should be full-time "Reverend" and should stay away from politics.

Why are there "black leaders" anyway? Isn't that highly racist to begin with? Can you imagine the furor if there were a group of men who called themselves "white leaders"? That is the way I see it… I am really so tired of all the racist stuff… Just when you think it's settled down and we are all getting along out jumps the race card again and BOOM!!! It starts all over again. I lived in LaPuente, California back in the 60's when the race riots were taking place in L.A. It gets scary real fast…. I could stand in our backyard and see the smoke from the buildings burning in L.A. I was 13 at the time and it really made an impression on me-fires, looting, beatings and killings… It seems however this time around the west coast is calm, cool and collected, while the east coast and middle of the country is rearing up its ugly racist heads.. And yes racism is ugly.
