Comedian found guilty of offending Islam

An Egyptian court on Tuesday upheld a conviction against one of the Arab world's most famous comedians, sentencing him to jail for offending Islam in some of his most popular films.

The case against Adel Imam and others like it have raised concerns among some Egyptians that ultraconservative Muslims who made gains in recent elections after Hosni Mubarak's ouster last year are trying to foist their religious views on the entire country. Critics say the trend threatens to curb Egypt's vibrant film industry and freedom of speech.

Imam was sentenced to three months in jail and fined around $170 for insulting Islam in roles he played in movies such as "The Terrorist", in which he acted the role of a wanted terrorist who found refuge with a middle class, moderate family, and the film "Terrorism and Kabab. "

The actor was also found guilty for his 2007 role in "Morgan Ahmed Morgan," in which Imam played a corrupt businessman who tries to buy a university diploma. The film included a scene parodying bearded Muslim men wearing traditional Islamic clothing.

Sharia Law is gonna be in Europe soon, and will be here next. Until then, you don't have freedom of speech here if you are a Christian. If a Christian says that he/she is against homosexuality, then it is called hate speech by many. But these same people will welcome Sharia Law with open arms, wait and see. The Muslims oppress women, homosexuals, and anyone else that won't believe like they do, yet American Liberals love them. Go figure.

He pulled strings behind the scenes so a Madrassa in Fairfax County could expand their building over the objections of everyone but Muslims. I pray that the people of Egypt will continue to wake up and see what the Muslim radicles are doing and will rise up against them. I also pray that our country and other countries where Christians live will also understand the threat of the Muslim religion and rise up against them.

Personally, I am tired of the majority having to walk on eggshells to keep from "OFFENDING" islam. However, they can offend us all they want with impunity. They can go as far as marrying a 1 year old child and having their way with them. They can lie and thereby have their wife or wives killed by stoning. They need show no respect for females who are thought of like cattle. They are evil and instill fear in others by having punishment or even death witnessed in the town square by the multitude….OR ELSE! Don't dare try to deminish their authority and power or you may be next! They actually are a bunch of COWARDS. Their religion is based on HATE; Christianity is based on LOVE which the muslims take as weakness. We will put on the armor of God when the real trial comes. AMEN!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA
