It's just a movie, you know? It's not like we're encouraging anyone to go out and watch Friday the 13th Part 875, or Saw 497. It's the Avengers…a movie about the good guys, fighting for America. And WINNING! And, hey, Captain America (the ultimate good guy/American) even mentions God! How much better can you get for a mainstream Hollywood movie?

And getting away from everything for a little while and loosing oneself in a movie or story is a great way to gain fresh insight into God's universe. Myths, legends, fairy-tales, comic-books, whatever you call them all have redeeming qualities that enrich and explain life in ways that many other things do not. I agree that Scripture is by far the best literature ever penned, but that does not mean that we should never listen to ANYTHING else. You are beginning to sound a bit LEGALISTIC and spoil-sport. Let people enjoy the "good myths" and see the world in a different light. It may suprise you what may come of the experience.
