Washington State says No to gay marriage

Although the gay agenda has made undeniable headway in recent months, complete with President Obama’s endorsement of same-sex marriage, the citizens of Washington state aren’t putting up with it.

Gay marriage opponents in Washington have successfully blocked a law that would have legalized same-sex marriage this week by submitting a petition for a ballot measure to repeal the statute that Democrat Gov. Chris Gregoire signed into law in February.

Washington United for Marriage and Preserve Marriage Washington both launched petitions. Washington United for Marriage collected more than 241,000 signatures—twice as many as necessary to get on the November ballot. Preserve Marriage Washington also collected more than 240,000 signatures.

  Thank you for the web site. I did not know there was help like that for the homosexual community. Our church has helped homosexuals find their way to the Lord and out of that lifestyle as well. It takes a lot of love and support from people who love the Lord to help them. There is no sin that cannot be forgiven except for not believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior.

        The WORD does not say unforgiven , it says unforgivable. Once you repent you are forgiven for all other sins.
        Nor does it say you can be forgiven for that sin if you repent. There is difference. I do not quite understand it but I know that sin is not forgiven.

The Left wins by judicial fiat, not by the will of the majority. That's why we have to concentrate on things like judgeships. In a nation of 350 million, one judge, acting unilaterally, can change the law of the land or deny the will of We The People. It happens time and again. We vote for something and the losers on the Left go whining to a sympatico in the judiciary and we are overturned. It's a travesty about which the Founders warned.

  This is something that isn't addressed often enough but should be. Judges can be recalled, removed, or impeached when they act improperly. Speaker Gingrich was right. Remember the stink raised over his comments by the left? They know that they are vulnerable in this area.

It is sad that we have to have law that says what the Bible says marriage is. I thought everyone understood what marriage was, I guess I was wrong.   That has been one of my pet peeves for years. The queers have stolen a very nice word from the English language and perverted it to their own meaning. There is nothing Gay about the homosexual lifestyle, most who have lived it and come out of it will tell stories of great misery, fear and pain caused by it. After voters in CA. rejected same sex marriage several times there should be something final when the American people speak. They will speak again in November and I predict sanity will return and there will finality in decisions by Americans. These reoccur due to funding by liberals both private and through the same taxes paid in by Americans. This is the double slap to Americans having to fight the fight their own money supports. I appreciate Washington not only for your decision but your scenery. I hope many states join Wisconsin, California and Washington with common sense values which Washington, DC. is void of.

Isn't it a little telling how all these national " polls " say more than fifty percent of Americans say they support sodomist weddings at the same time every state that allows a vote on it shoots it down ?

  It has a lot to do with how the polls are worded. If a subtle slant is incorporated into the questionnaire, the results can seem to show that the majority is in favor of something when in reality they are not. The actual votes that have been occurring with regards to gay marriage would indicate that the majority of the population still does not favor it, regardless of what the cleverly concocted polls 'seem' to show.
