Anti-Abortion Wailing Wall Planned in Kansas

Plans for a full-size replica of the Western Wall in Jerusalem are being drawn up in Wichita, Kan. But women who have had abortions — rather than Jews — are the target audience.

The proposed replica is part of a monumental “International Pro-Life Memorial and National Life Center” being planned by evangelical activists in Wichita’s anti-abortion community. The envisioned shrine is meant to promote and solidify Wichita’s reputation as the city in America that is most hostile to abortion, say the activists. The project planners have decided that the most vivid way to invoke the scale of the abortion tragedy, as they see it, is to reference Jewish suffering — embodied in their minds by the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

The “Wailing Wall,” as the activists refer to it, and the accompanying center, will be fronted by 60 crosses, each one representing 1 million aborted fetuses.

“[The Western Wall] is a place that memorializes what happened during the Holocaust,” said Pastor Mark Holick, the spokesman for the anti-abortion project. “Since Roe v. Wade,” he said, referring to the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that struck down state bans on abortion, “60 million baby boys and girls have been murdered, and that is a holocaust unprecedented in the history of mankind.”

    Hope it helps

I'll make a donation to complete the construction of the Wailing Wall!
Roe vs Wade is the most infamous decision made by Judges and the biggest monument to men stupidity.

As usual religion is into symbolism rather than reality. Continuing to ignore the reality that this planet cannot tolerate more people. Their scheme of promoting large families fraught with unintended consequences that their magic non-existent skygod will not fix.

      Chris:
Again, murdering innocent babies – they even can't defend themselves – is not a solution. As I told you in past comment, someone should drop 5 or 6 atomic bombs on most populated cities of Asia and Africa. That it would diminish the world population. Don't you think so?
      Robert.

if you want to murder to control population, something they already have in mind, murder the old people, through Obamascare Health Plan. I have a better idea, give each us forms to fill out to get our opinions on various things. Those who agree to murder, to control population, perhaps, start with these people. If they agree to murder, they should volunteer to be first. This makes sense to me. How do you think this sounds, Chris.? Don't like it, huh? I didn't think you would!!

      @Chris

How did you come to the determination that "this planet cannot tolerate more people"? Do you have facts and figures? Can you see into the future to know what advances in food production are coming? Can you foresee future natural disasters which may kill millions? Your statement is pure speculation.

    • Esteban Cafe

Sir, I expect that you will be the first to volunteer to to die to preserve Gaia? No? How selfish of you.

The murder of 60,000,000 (million) babies may have caused the person responsible for curing breast cancer to die. How about the person responsible for finding the cure for ALS, any cancer, MS or any other disease being murder because the person was inconvenient for the biological mother? The creator of a new highly efficient vehicle may have been killed.

The point is that someone in those murdered could do some extra ordinary thing for the world.

I'm not some abortion fanatic, but am smart enough to realize that even if Roe vs. Wade is overturned, that abortions will still happen. Don't want an abortion? Then don't get one but don't tell others what they can or cannot do!

    • Esteban Cafe

Let me see if I have this straight: "I'm not a murder fanatic, but I am smart enough to realize that it will still happen. Don't want to murder, then don't; but don't tell others what they can and cannot do."

Sir, first you step outside the obvious right/wrong discussion of abortion, excusing yourself from participation while giving your approbation to it. Then you select the post-modern rationalization of "you cannot legislate morality" (but we CAN legislate immorality?). Because the law states that something is ok does not make it moral or wise.

Do not be weak in the face of the worldly pressure placed upon you–stand up to the obvious murder of children–surely you're better than that. Man up and face the pressure with resolve to do what's right.

Were you to see someone slaughtering new born infants would you act then? The difference between them and the unborn be as short as 15 minutes in many of your American states. Indeed, some aborted children are born alive and left to slowly die.

        Esteban:
        Bravo! You are absolutely right.
        Robert.

Who is this liberal editor at Zionica who continues to mis-characterize the pro-life community as "anti-abortion"? Even the uber liberal Forward reporter cited it as a pro-life shrine.

This Zionica editor uses liberal spin to cast a community of people who are FOR the God-given right of the baby to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, to a group of people who are against a woman's "right" to choose to murder her baby out of convenience (even though she already made her choice that got her into the mess she is in).

Why does Zionica continue to malign the pro-life community?

It is now obvious to me that whoever this editor is, they are a liberal plant.
