Protecting Girls from Predators

I have learned lessons about the value of all life from my children and I pray that I continue to learn them. I grieve for the children lost and for the mothers who have been deceived by a society selling selfishness. I am thankful for the faithful workers around the country who serve women at pro-life pregnancy centers providing women honest information and additional real choices.

I have often said that policymakers cannot just "check the box" by saying they are pro-life. It is about making a commitment to it whenever the dignity of life is threatened. That is why I feel so strongly that The Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (CIANA), a bill that would make it illegal to transport a minor girl across state lines for an abortion, must pass Congress and be signed into law.

If passed, the law would strengthen the over 30 state-level pro-life parental-involvement laws currently on the books by ending the circumvention of state laws regarding parental involvement and punishing doctors who knowingly perform an abortion on a minor, and any individual who has helped her travel across state lines.

So say you are the friend of a young girl who is seeking an abortion, but she does not have the support or approval of a parent to have one performed. All you would need to do is go to a state where parental approval is not required. Currently there are at least a dozen states with abortion providers, making such an abortion accessible.

    When are you going to recognize you are following a Jewish tradition by which the commandment of God is made of none effect (Matthew 15:6-9). Note that the very site you provide substitutes adonai for the Tetragrammaton (the four Hebrew letters representing God Almighty's principle name, found nearly 7,000 times int he Hebrew Old Testament, but removed by the English translators) in many of the passages it provides. So why should anyone trust their pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton (which most Jews do not wanting anyone but themselves pronouncing), particularly when far more Hebrew scholars provide Yahweh for the correct pronunciation?

        Furthermore, multitudes of Scriptures charge us (among other things) to use, proclaim, swear by, praise, extol, call upon, bless, glorify, and hold fast to Yahweh’s name. In order to do these things, unlike the Jews and you, we must do our best to pronounce His name to the best of our understanding. But to not use His name as He commanded us, is to reject not only these commands but Yahweh Himself.

    Desp,You need to know that the BIBLE WAS NOT WRITTEN IN ENGLISH AND THAT YAHWEH was the word used in the Hebrew in which that part of the Bible was wtrtten, which is quite a bit older than that the English revised version. As the Hebrew was concerned that was not no such word as the English "True God"

      the vowels were added to the Hebrew scriptures well after the author of the book had died. they would not say YHVH name but say either Adonai (Lord) or the unspoken name. they took the vowels sounds from Adonai and added to YHVH.

However, this does not alleviate us from doing as He commanded us (as provided above) and particularly when reading those nearly 7,000 Old Testament passages as He inspired them with His name intact rather than how the English translators rendered them, having replaced His name with the generic "LORD" and "GOD," when found all in capital letters.

        Perhaps you need to do some more study (of course, something all of us need to continue to do). Technically, there is no w or v in the Hebrew alphabet. It's a combination of both. Most Hebrew scholars, however, believe the closest pronunciation in English is with the w sound. Thus, for the sake of those who intend to be obedient to Yahweh and use (and thus pronounce) His memorial name, spell it with a w rather than a v.
        
        Others have shared this information with you previously, but you persist in ignoring it just as you do your sin in following Jewish traditions.

CIANA is a extremely worthwhile endeavor, but it will not be signed into law as along as Barack Obama holds the pen. This Obama administration has no problem interceding it's power into states that attempt to stop abortion, or any other Liberal/Progressive agenda. I use my own state of Tennessee for an example. We voted to defund Planned Parenthood because of their abortion on demand agenda, but Obama and his administration simply decided to re-fund it with Federal Tax dollars. I use California as another example, twice the people of California voted to ban same sex marriage, yet a Federal Judge has reinstated same sex marriage both times. Prayer does work, and if CIANA is to be passed and signed, it will take a miracle from God.
