Apollo 8 was a mission undertaken by NASA to orbit the moon as a preparatory flight to the moon landing accomplished by Apollo 11. While they were orbiting the moon on Christmas Eve, 1968, they read from the Book of Genesis, in what was the most watched television broadcast at the time.

Can you imagine NASA allowing such a thing today? Shows you how far we have fallen from our Christian heritage, just in the space (no pun intended) of a few decades. If an astronaut tried to read from the Bible on a national telecast today, he would be vilified as 'hateful' and the ACLU probably would sue NASA.

There is a hymn, " GOD will take care of you and we can see just how true that is. These people left the earth ans went to the moon where a thousand things could have happened to have aborted the mission and left them dead but GOD went all the way to the Moon with them and brought them back alive even before they believed. It is difficult for me to believe that people saw that and knew all about and still doubted.
