Actually I'm with you on that….I come from a time when things were a bit more civil, and I miss the days when people could be agreeably disagreeable.
Althoug I disagree on the whole incitement thing. If someone goes out and commits a horrific act, then the blame should rest wholly on that person and not on Rush Limbaugh, Bill Maher or anybody else. The burden is on that person to distinguish right from wrong.
In other words, if Rush Limbaugh (or Bill Maher) told you to go swallow broken glass, would you do it?

I'm just saying this rhetoric needs to stop. I think there are crazy people on both sides who hear this vitriol all of the time from pundits, etc. and think "I have to do something!" For exmaple- when Rush Limbaugh says "baby killer, baby killer baby killer" and mentions Dr. Tiller's name....well yeah, of course some whacko is going to be like, "I have to stop the baby killer!" and murder Dr. Tiller. These death threats or people posting bible verses relating to Obama's death need to stop. When did Americans stop respecting each other?

While I wouldn't write something like that, it hardly constitutes a death threat as described by Chris. If you feel that it does, then you're duty bound to report it to the authorities (but I wouldn't recommend it because they'll probably just laugh at you and tell you to get a life).
In any case, I can read similar things at left-wing websites, but I have enough discernment to recognize when people are simply venting, rather than going into a panic over it.
Besides, if Chris was REALLY afraid that such people meant business, then he wouldn't come to these sites — nothing to stop some computer-savvy psycho from tracking him down.

I've seen so many posts from people on Patriot Update and the like saying that they "pray to God every night that Obama is killed" and that they want to "kill every Muslim" or "cover them in Pig's blood" or various other atrocities. c'mon people, let's grow up- these are American citizens. Just because they aren't WASPY or go to your church doesn't mean they don't *love* America just like you.

Chris, like most of his left-wing liberal progressive counterparts (ie: Harry Reid) would much prefer to spew unfounded and blatant lies rather than back up such assertions with facts and direct quotes. Much like those who chose to desecrate church altars and defecate on police cruisers, he chooses to resort to animalistic and juvenile behaviors rather than consider opening his mind to commonsense and mature expression. Very sad that his "ilk" are becoming more the norm due to the progressive "dumbing down" of our children through the marvels of the public education system. Just consider the source.
