Black Bishop Encourages Christians to Leave Democratic Party

A black Virginia bishop is calling for Christians to leave the Democratic Party over what he describes as a "cult-like devotion" to abortion and what he terms as a "rejection" of the traditional family.

Bishop E.W. Jackson, a veteran of the Marine Corps and Harvard Law graduate, says the Democrats' enslavement of some Americans, most notably black Americans, is the modern day equivalent of slavery and his focus is to lead an exodus, similar to what Moses did in the Old Testament.

"Let God's people go," Jackson told The Christian Post in a telephone interview.

"Clearly, the Democratic Party is the anti-Christian Party in this nation. They reject the Bible, what Bible-believing Christians embrace and they encourage the growth of what we can a 'non-traditional' family. That is morally wrong and a disgrace to our nation and our Lord," said Jackson.

This is a very hopeful sign!! Hopefully, more people will wake up and see the demoncratic party for what it truly is!! I am praying.

I hit like on this and my big giant fingers hit dislike so i didn't mean too. I do like this very much :)

    • Mary Wood

It bothers me this is coming from a minister.

      • Robert Wayne

Why does it bother you? The Democrats are about as anti Christian a group as there is in this country. They hate, despise and ridicule God and Christians every chance they get.

        • Mary Wood

Ministers with a political agenda always bother me. I am LDS. The LDS church is absolutely apolitical. It is crucial! Church and State must remain completely separate, a "wall of separation" between them according to Thomas Jefferson (3), even though the U. S. Constitution was founded in Judeo-Christian principles. Our nation is diverse and getting more diverse. If we allow any religion to take hold of power at all, it will set a precedent, a slippery slope for more powerful religions to take power. We have to establish our nation as a nation of U. S. Constitutional law and the worst case scenario won't happen. It is a safety net.

          • DaveZx3

Separation of Church and State is somewhat of an illusion, but separation of God and State is an absolute Lie. Jesus Christ is "King". In a truly Christian world, there would be no separate secular government. All government would fall on the shoulders of Jesus Christ. This is what is coming, so why do we pretend otherwise?

A Christian prays for "one nation under God" and for "thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven" God will not govern through a secular government, of elected men. The constitution, though undoubtedly better than all other humanist doctrines, will none the less be done away with under the perfect government and justice of God.

Jesus Christ is our King, and as is written, you can't serve your King and also serve a separate secular government comprised of elected men. God's law is not democratically administered. Christians should be demanding to live under God's law, and not democratic law, but most don't, instead blathering with the rest of the humanists about an this illusion of "a wall of separation".

          • Mary Wood

DaveZx3: Which of the hundreds of religious sects' interpretation of God would you recommend to lead us? (Don't forget the Muslim sect also believe in God)

          • Evermyrtle

Th Bible, the WOOD OF GOD is the best place you can go for information, advice and leadership. There are good ministers in most denominations who can back the WORD up and explain what the scriptures mean, if you need assistance, help for anyone who is seeking.Denominations mean little in themselves. There are good ministers in most of them and ministers who are not quite so devoted to GOD'S work, too

Muslims call their god, Allah and I donnot believe they are the same.

          • 32eagle

Very well said Dave -I agree totally

          • Evermyrtle

Very well said, Dave. You are exactly right. once we discontinue obeying and following JESUS we will fail, which is happening in this country, today.

          • Evermyrtle

Ministers first duty is to the LORD. Whether in politics or in anything else, and if GOD leads him to come out of the party or anywhere he was os is active, he should obey GOD not man.

          • Mary Wood

A just God is not going to want to be be "on anyone's side" Myrtle… shouldn't the minister be the same way?

        • Mary Wood

I do agree with you statements about Democrats as a group. And I hope that people who shun them will find assurance in the Republican Party. I just think the message should come from another part of the community and not the minister.

          • Evermyrtle

If the minister does not stand for what he knows it right he is not a true WORKER OF GOD. HE says you are either for me or against me.

            Rev. 3: 15-16
            15. I know your works, that you are neither cold notr hot: i would that you were cold or hot.
16.So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue you out of my mouth.

          • Mary Wood

I'm just wishin' he were neutral like my religion. By being neutral the church I attend, never tells me to join this or that party, this encourages me to engage in the process on my own without recrimination. Don't you think that is good?

          • Evermyrtle

There is nothing about living for GOD that is neutral! It is good or it is evil, and GOD'S minister needs to know how to take charge situations that arise. If it belongs to GOD'S it is his business. Everything belongs to GOD, therefore it is his duty to speak up. It is not an option!

          • Mary Wood

            Please watch this video:
http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/article/political-neutrality-whiteboard-animation-draws-out-church-position It may give you pause to rethink your position on political neutrality of churches.

        • http://www.facebook.com/jackwaykoomans Robert Clive Jackway-Koomans

@ Evermyrtle…. THANKS SO MUCH – I have been looking for that sentence for ages, as I saw it once, remembered the words, but lost the position… and no Pastor could point it out to me… That saying goes SO DEEP, that we can use it also in every day life, such as when you see a person being mugged, and dont do something to try and stop it… you just helped the mugger do his evil… and so it is with voting! – use your brain, do't vote for evil, but at least VOTE!

        • http://www.facebook.com/Beth40DaysforLife Beth K. Hallgren

I agree. Plus, sounds like to me Nancy Pe-"lousy" has a few demons as sidekicks. I think Susan B. Anthony would be saying different words than those nancy thought she heard.

      • 32eagle

it should make you feel fantastic-he is doing what Jesus would do

        • Mary Wood

          It doesn't

        • Evermyrtle

I am sure that it does, most of the time but sometimes the duties of a believer is very difficult, when trying to get through to some who wants to be a Christian but does not want to follow the path..

          • Mary Wood

What about getting through to a Muslim, Myrtle. How will you manage that without just being reasonable? They don't want to read the holy bible.

          • Evermyrtle

Toadying is not the answer, I will stand for what I believe in. I am positive that I have as much right to what I believe and the opposite side has. My GOD and SAVIOR expects me to tell the truth not hide behind a lie. If you do not stand up for what you believe means, you are joining the other side. I will be more than happy to tell any Muslim about my SAVIOR which is the only way to heaven. If said Muslim tries to tell me his point, I will listen but since I am confident I am right I won't change my mind. JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.

Matt20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen

            Matt. 22:13-14
            13. Then said the KING to the servants,"Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
            14. For many are called, but few are chosen.

          • Mary Wood

            What is toadying???

          • Evermyrtle

Kissing up, hoping to win favor!! Something is dishonest!

          • Mary Wood

How will you manage Muslims. Myrtle? They don't accept Jesus as their savior. How is asking this question toadying? My point is we have to use U.S. Constitutional LAW. As I see it this is "using REASON"

Here is a copy/paste from Jeff's post demonstrating reason and wisdom:
            QUOTE
Are the Ten Commandments the basis for the first Ten Amendments to the US Constitution?

I hear this comment often, “The Ten Commandments are the structure of our Bill of Rights."

Is that right? Lets take a look at the first Ten Amendments.

            I. Freedom of Speech, Press, Religion and
Petition – Freedom of Religion is actually the opposite of what the Ten
Commandments requires. The other aspects of the First Amendment have nothing to do with the Commandments.

            2. Right to keep and bear arms – Has nothing to do with the Commandments

            3. Conditions for quarters of soldiers – Nothing to do with the Commandments

            4. Right of search and seizure regulated – Nothing to do with the Commandments

            5. Provisions concerning prosecution – Nothing to do with the Commandments

            6. Right to a speedy trial, witnesses, etc. – A slight connection with bearing false witness, otherwise, nothing to do with the Commandments.

            7. Right to a trial by jury – Nothing to do with the Commandments

            8. Excessive bail, cruel punishment – Nothing to do with the Commandments

            9. Rule of construction of Constitution – Absolutely nothing to do with the Commandments

            10. Rights of the States under Constitution – Nothing to do with the Commandments.

Other than the coincidence that there were initially Ten Amendments and there are Ten Commandments, there is only one slight resemblance between the two documents, which has to do with bearing false witness. The Freedom of Religion is actually the exact opposite of what the Commandments require. Are the Ten Commandments’ the structure of our Constitution? Complete nonsense.
            END OF QUOTE

My point is, if we abide by the wisdom of our Founders and the wisdom found in the reasonable execution of the principles of law, we can come to some peaceful agreements with any people. As long as any of us rely on what our "God says" to do, tell me how will we come to any reasonable settlement? Doesn't you God place any value on the survival of your civilization?

          • Mary Wood

Is anyone asking you to not stand for what you believe?

      • Evermyrtle

It is more important for a minister that anybody else to make a change once he finds he is wrong and in the wrong place. People tend to follow ministers actions as long as they are trusted to do GOD'S will. When we consider GOD'S will for us we cannot allow the beliefs of humans stop them from doing what GOD expects us to do.
Commission of sin is sin whether we do it on our own, or if we allow ourselves to be persuaded to commit.

The word "cojones" is highly bulgar for Hispanics, yet English speaking people use it so commonly. Even Saah Palin has used it in writing. Christians draw courage from faith rather tan their testicules. This brother just opened his yes to see beyond his race and ingrained political bend.

  • Dean

It's about time! It has been the Republican Party that historically has worked hardest to help raise African Americans, and the Democrats who have fought to keep them enslaved, formerly through their branch, the KKK, and then through government handouts. Time for black Christians to wake up and follow the Lord Jesus and the Word of God and it's not the Democratic party. Eisenhower proposed the first Civil Rights Bill and it didn't pass because of Democrats in Congress. Then when LBJ brought it forward it was again the Democrats who resisted and the Republicans in Congress who got it passed.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Michael-Papich/100000029359454 Michael Papich

Eisenhower also gave us Chief Justice Earl Warren who took prayer,i.e. God out of public schools.

    • Esther Mae Egan

The Republican Party is no longer doing what they should be doing. it is time for a third party (Independent-Constitution) to emerge and give the people back the Bill of Rights and Constitution. The Republican Party has been compromised with Progressive and no longer speaks for the rights our founding fathers gave up. The Republican Party is as corrupt as the Democrats. It is time for revival of God's people to confess their sins and stand behind a righteous godly men and women. Time to consider a look at Goode for President. (Constitution Party) I pray that Christians in America will get over their fear and vote for a righteous individual. The only reason Goode will not win is if you do not vote for him. If you vote for the lesser of two evils it is still evil Are you honoring God when you vote for evil. Ultimately it is God that puts a person in power and He can take them out, but He uses us. Do you like being spanked?

      • David S.

Agreed! I don't like Republicans or Democrats – time for another choice!

      • Vladimir

We in Virginia suspect Virgil Goode is getting major financial support from the hard left to run for president to syphon votes from Romney. Goode is a pretty shady character and my wife's relatives who know him and his family don't have much respect for them. He could win Virginia for BO.

just a note to all the Democrats I agree 100% with the Black Bishop Obama
and the Democratic party has deserted you and could care less about you, They
have everything they want more money than you will Ever have, bigger homes free
health care for the rest of their lives so your nothing to them

    • Esther Mae Egan

What the government gives you it can take away at some point. There will be camps for those who trust the government instead of trusting God.

  • Sirwizard

I applaud the Bishop's stand. Personally, I don't believe it is possible to be a Christian and a Democrat at the same time. Indeed, the term 'Christian Democrat' is an Oxymoron.

  • Norma

I' m afraid I will have to agree with the Bishop Jackson, because It makes sense. The Democratic party is not the party of the honest people, hard-working people that it use to be. The party is one that wants the people to serve it instead of a party that represents the people. It is made up of socialists, communists, anti-Christian, and made up of greed. None of the Christian characteristics for Christians exist inside the party. An atheistic party is more like it. They do not want what is best for America. They do not show that they believe that everyone is created equal. Obama believes in cronyism. Americans do not get equal rights. The democratic party should be re-named. Maybe they should call it the Socialist party. Or the communist party. Progressive Party? "Christians not allowed" party? Or "Spending Party" ? What should it be called? Well. count me out!

  • donl

It's AWAYS nice to hear from someone with a 'sane brain' Keep up the lords good word. About a month ago we had a priest from Poland tell us how bad things were in his home country when the COMMUNISTS took control. The communists would tell them what passages they were allowed to discuss or read in church.

    "“cult-like devotion” to abortion"
it's this dem party's religion – the foundation of their party is death – they want people to be able to kill themselves, their babies and dems want to be able to decide who lives and dies thru obamacare's death panels… plus, Washington Examiner has a video of an abortionist admitting it's a service to kill black babies – horrendous – PP is margaret sanger's foundation on eugenics… Alveda King wants an investigation in the PP targeting of black community… dems need to be exposed for this atrocity… God Help Us…

yes-indeed homosexuality, abortion, and trying to keep illegal alien barack obama in as president-we the people are insignificant bystanders- to democrats. of course that does not mean the republican party is okay either-our representatives are not doing their jobs, the supreme court is faulty, capitol hill is full of incompetence-TRUST in government is not here anymore-we do not trust communism-and that is what we do have with obama in office

I agree. Praise the Lord. It has been a long time since I have heard an American ("African American) in your leadership role speak out about this travisty. Being led blindly by a charismatic political leader and a party that shares his focus.

That's so funny. "Leave the Democratic Party and join the party that doesn't give a crap and wants you to be Mormons" No health care for you.

You are like a cheer-leader for morons.

    • Patriot

Chris, you are a Dem just by your own words – get rid of the tax breaks for churches. Sorry, Chris, but you Dems are leading the desecration of this country by denying God demonizing families, satisfying lustful cravings every which way from Sunday except in marriage, and then murdering the babies conceived from their sexual appetites that they refuse to control. As for insurance, we did without it until we could afford to buy it. No reason everyone has to get everything for free from the government – because it is NOT free – we the people are paying for it. OWEbamaTAX which isn't a tax, but is a tax still won't cover everyone. Moreover, the POTUS swiped half-a-trillion dollars from medicare to pay for it – that is causing seniors who are retired and dependent on it to have less coverage. He promised if you like the insurance you have, you'll keep it – no we can't because he's stopped some of the programs and many companies are now refusing to cover employees – they'll pay the fine – or fire some employees to get the number under 50. Don't forget, that just because you have insurance doesn't mean you'll get to see a doctor when you need one – they're leaving the profession like mad because of this HHS garbage. Fewer are becoming doctors because this socialist POTUS is telling them how much they can earn. Since when? This is the USA – we have FREEDOMS. Too bad he was raised in foreign countries where they hated the USA and he has been indoctrinated by their ideology. In OWEbamaTAX there are an additional 20 taxes. Welcome to the world of tax and spend courtesy of the Dems and RINOs. Bishop Jackson is spot on – may God bless him!

This moral decline is not limited to color. We are being used by our own constitution being interpited to satisfy the few and a religion that is against the JUDAO-Christian values that this nation was founded on. Immigration is allowed to one group of people due to money and influence and denied to another for the lack of, Proof being in what the amnisty bill states –one can have it if they can pay for it.The part about the government paying if they are too poor to do so is just smoke and mirror / false hope. “Clearly, the Democratic Party is the anti-Christian Party in this
nation. They reject the Bible, what Bible-believing Christians embrace
and they encourage the growth of what we can a ‘non-traditional’
    family.
That is morally wrong and a disgrace to our nation and our Lord,” said
    Jackson.

Truer words are seldom publicly spoken in this modern USA! The single most important problem with our political/moral condition in the country is our American pulpits where preachers are no more than "dumb dogs which cannot bark."

How any decent person living in the US and calling himself a Christian can remain in the Democrat Party is a matter for which an answer should be immediately demanded. Not that the Republican Party is without some equally abhorrent sinners, but the Democrat Party, itself, has taken as official platform principles of wickedness, such as, taxpayer funded abortion on demand, endorsement of the sodomite culture with sodomite marriage, legal plunder of God given wealth through tax confiscation, treason with enemies of the US (Islamist, Communist, International tyrants), persecution of Christians professing and living the Christian life, etc. It is in fact of its own emphasis "the anti-Christian party."

I believe that God had called Christens out of the world way of thinking, we shouldn't be caught up in things that doesn't glorify God. We are to prayer for the world and through the Spirit of God reach them that lost.. For the evil within man is growing continually every day in all places. We are only here to saw men that there is a better way than to be leaded by Satan and his hosts, the world is sick and you that are alive in God, you should live a righteous life through the Lord, who give you the help you need when you ask Him. You know when you have lost your first love; when you're loving the world more than reaching for lost souls. My friends, look away from the world, for it hate you with a passion.

Clearly? Where you been, preacher? The Dems were the party of Slavery, the authors of segregation and the ghettos, a by product of segregation. Welfare was designed to segregate minorities into low income zones and make sure they stayed there. They bought minority vote while avoiding sharing the public bathrooms for decades. To this day most minorities are convinced the Dems have their interest in mind. But when the country is screwed to the ground no one wins.

  • Mys77

A vote for Obama and any democrat is a vote against America and its values. And I believe those who vote, will be held accountable to a higher power for their enodorsment to such unbelievable immoral behavior and agenda. Do the right thing for the country and its soul… vote for Romney.

    • Evermyrtle

I see where you are coming and I have thought much about voting for Romney. This is bothering my conscience very much. I have a problem with voting someone who believes so differently from what I believe. I know that abortion is murder, I know that GOD hates homosexuality, I know that HE expects us to accept JESUS CHRIST AS HIS SON AND OUR SAVIOR. I do not believe these things are what Romney believes in. I have read his records of the past and they are scarey.

Yes, I know far more about Obama than is comfortable, and know that he is the most dangerous man that we have ever had in the WH. I know that he is anti-GOD, anti-CHRIST and anti-America.

      • Wordman

You can rest at ease in voting for Romney. I'm not thrilled about a Mormon president either, but politics is generally not about getting what you want, but getting the best you can. All too often that means choosing the lesser of two evils. In the case of Romney and Obama we can be VERY much assured that Obama is a MUCH the greater problem. We simply must get this man out of the Oval Office if we can.

        • Mary Wood

Romney is not evil at all.

          • David S.

Well, Mary, yes indeed, I do believe in what I believe in 100% in most things, but if you do not believe like I believe I would never condemn you, I would disagree but would not call you "Democrat" or any other ugly name because my GOD and FATHER tells us that you have a right to believe just as you chose. I believe name calling is a cheap ignorant excuse, when you can't think of anything intelligent to say.Self-righteous? ME? No, thank you, I am a sinner, a repentant sinner and not righteous, even I do try to live by GOD rules. I do thank GOD that I can see my mistakes even if it is not until after I have made them.

          • Mary Wood

Myrtle, Please accept my apology for calling you a Democrat. Thanks, Mary

          • Evermyrtle

            Thank you, forgiven!!!

          • Mary Wood

            : )

          • Evermyrtle

            (Indeed??)

          • Mary Wood

Here is what Ann Romney is up to:
http://www.mittromney.com/blogs/mitts-view/2012/07/unleash-potential-america?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=20120809_p_unleash-the-potential-blog_facebo helping to unlease the potential of America. If anyone can do it she can. She and her husband know what to do to prosper. We can learn a lot from them. Myrtle, their religion is apolitical (their church has no interest in politics!!!) These people will help anyone prosper no matter their religion. Does that sound reasonable?

          • Evermyrtle

Oh yes, I have read about what Ann Romney is doing and I do admire and have great sympathy for what she has gone through in her life time, suffering through cancer and other things. I lost a daughter through cancer.

          • Evermyrtle

That is still to be seen. Remember, similar statement were made for Obama and by Obama.

It is quite obvious that their church is apolitical. When JESUS returns they are sure to learn the truth about who or what is apolitical besides that, if they are really apolitical why do thy have a member running for president? Oh, yes and backing him. If he wins and he is a Christian?? He will lose his apolitical stand as fear begins to seep in, when great problems arise and he realizes he cannot do it all alone, and that leads to prayer, as he surely will if he is a Christian. If he is not a Christian this is surely another step toward the soon coming of JESUS CHRIST for HIS people.

          • Mary Wood

Myrtle said, "… why do thy [sic] have a member running for president?" The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not ever support a political candidate. i.e., what you have said is a falsehood. What more can be said other than both Harry Reid and Mitt Romney are members, and neither have been supported, criticized, or advised in any way by any of the authorities of the LDS church. You can be a member of a church and not in any way be supported by the church. Moreover, when you are a member of a church, you most certainly can appeal to one you believe is a higher power. How does that cohere with the minister telling people to go to a different political party? I would love to know your answer to that question. Be careful, don't toady. : )

        • Evermyrtle

What am I progressing at?? I have not heard anyone else say anything about it, good or bad. The only progress I desire is to hopefully one day, lead someone to the LORD JESUS. That would bring me great joy!!!

          • Mary Wood

I rewrote the question… see if that makes more sense to you.

          • Mary Wood

It would bring me great joy to solve these contradictions.

          • Evermyrtle

What contradictions are you referring to. If I can in some way solve any of them after I find what they are, it will "bring me great joy" to do so." At 82 the "the gray matter" is getting a little rusty and I may need a little extra info to be able to help, at times.

There is no need to be sarcastic, that rolls off like water!! It does not make you look very good, either

        • Evermyrtle

I am sorry to say I do not remember you ever asking me anything. Of course I do answer a lot of request and maybe I have just forgotten.

Actually the story of Jacob and Esau makes makes great sense to me. It is up to HIM to make anything that HE makes according to HIS will. What about the story of Esau and Jacob that puzzles you! HE did give them both free choice just as HE did you and me. Esau made his choice when he allowed Jacob to have that which would have belonged to him, had he not given it to Jacob, when he came in, tired and hungry from his hunting trip. That was between the two of them. GOD allowed them to make that choice. This is all that I can think of that could be puzzling you concerning Esau and Jacob. Both of them became very rich during their lives.

It is not really necessary for GOD to seem reasonable to us. HE makes the decisions, He made us and we are HIS to use as HE pleases. Even with this HE give us free reign.HE has been far beyond reasonable to me is my opinion. Of course I am not a complainer and accept HIS will for me.

Matthew 25: 31-46 explains what HE will do for us according to the faith we have in HIM and according to the decisions we make in life.

          • Mary Wood

Why did God chose one over the other before they were born? This is a gross example of prejudice! It had nothing to do "
according to the faith… [or] decisions" … they weren't born yet, Myrtle.

      • 32eagle

I understand you because Romney was my last choice-but obama is another story not even on the same page as Romney.I too am freaked out by the Mormon ways and I have had Mormon friends-on the basis of good and evil-my choice is definately for Mitt-this nation has been deliberately sabotaged by obama-and he is an illegal alien-all of his term as senator and president is one big scandal-this crook needs to be serving life in prison-not campaigning and golfing. The Truth set me free on this issue -I will not support abortion,gayness,liars,traitors,thieves,racists-but I sure will support a Mormon that is at least decent enough to stand against such immorality

        • Mary Wood

32eage: Mitt will not disappoint the American people because he knows this country is "of the people" and not "of his Church." Even if he wanted advice from his church he wouldn't get it because his church is apolitical.

I am all for voting for Romney. Reason: he is a member of an apolitical church, he is a great dad, a great husband and has the resume for the job. Reason to not vote for Barack Hussein Obama: Obama is not working.

      • Evermyrtle

It is your right to vote as you pleas and is nobody's business but your own and for whatever reason your choose. It is a GOD given right!

        • Mary Wood

The central issue I have is separation of church and state.

          • Evermyrtle

The government has no business meddling with church affairs nor does it have any business trying to tell Christians politicians how to believe or how to vote. However, you believe is the result of the experiences and studies you have made in your life and they have no right to try to force Christians to their way of thinking.

          • Mary Wood

Myrtle, I am more worried about the other way around than what you have described… thanks

          • Evermyrtle

Do you have any evidence of any Christians trying to force their opinions on non- believing politicians?? I mean, the liberals hate Christians and make sure that everybody knows of their hatred. Christians just quietly go their way and allows everybody to believe as they choose because GOD give us that right.

          • Mary Wood

Evermyrtle, the point is Christian compassion, the compassion you feel for others not of your faith, for example, for Muslims who worship Mohammed, has not worked and there has not been any sign that I see that it will work. And whether you like it or not that is what we will have to deal with. I think if you have to deal with them based upon reason, because all you good intentions in the world to convert them to Christianity will not work. I don't know how to be more clear about this. : )

          • Evermyrtle

Whatever GOD places on my dish I know HE will be there to guide and direct me and give me the wisdom, the love and the courage to do HIS will, which I believe is far beyond your imagination. I will have no need to have any doubts with HIM beside me.

According to HIS WORD we will not have to deal much longer with Muslim Islamist. I believe it will get much worse than you know before it is all over Read Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 17 and 21, II Tim.3:1-7, I John 2:18 and there are other scriptures describing the world as it is today, just before the return of JESUS CHRIST for HIS people

          • Mary Wood

Myrtle: To be more specific: The Church has "no business meddling" in government affairs. Remember Matt 6:6

          • Oh Yeah

If Jefferson had written that there was a "row of cannons separating church and state" instead of a "wall", the cannons to which he referred would all be pointing at the "state" (government), not the church or people's religious values, or public religious expression, or religious acknowledgement (or even expression) in government.

          • Mary Wood

OY: Jefferson didn't say cannons and a wall does not "point" at anything; it just stands there. Aside from Jefferson and what he said, there are those factions in our government today who want to destroy state government and "grow" the federal government. Am I clear that's what you are getting at? That does seem to be what's happening.

  • http://www.facebook.com/judy.fornes Judy Fornes

Christians shuld dump Obama and ALL Democrats until they more closely align themselves with God's laws, which will ALWAYS supercede man's laws!

  • Paula

The apostate churches (those who have fallen away from God) will deceive their people into believing that they are still Christians when they vote demoncratic. Most notably the United Methodist churches. Apparently they have a policy for their ministers to not talk politics and yet, with the apportionment money they collect, they feel free to donate to the political lefties. Lets talk about right and wrong: we need more people in the churches to speak up.

    • Evermyrtle

Every one of us is responsible for accepting JESUS CHRIST and living according to HIS commandments. We must look at ourselves and know if we are living according to HIS will or according to the Democratic rules, by the Republican rules. If it is by the Democratic or Republican we had better take a good look at what we are following, and deciding how that way will stand in front of GOD. The principles of neither will stand very well in the face of GOD but they are not responsible for us we have to make the decisions, ourselves, each one of us.

Church laws and regulations?? We should have our own copy of GODS WORD and let that be th law by how to live with each other and the world, not depend on the church, since today so many churches want to be politically correct, and that will not work with GOD.

  • Evermyrtle

I do not have one speck of confidence in Obama care. I believe it is very harmful for the USA, to every person that has no faith in GOD. I believe that GOD will look out for HIS own, therefore, I will have no worry for myself. BUT there are many people that do not know GOD or HIS SON JESUS CHRIST and this thing will do nothing but harm for them. To be safe from Satan, Obamacare and the government I hop that all who do not know HIM will soon discover that HE is there and that HE knows everything about you and you need to accept HIM to be safe fro the evil that has fallen our nation, this evil which seem to grow everyday as our government goes forth with their plans that are ruining us..

    Luke 12:8-9
    8. I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the SON OF MAN also confess before the angels of GOD:
    9. But he that deny's me before men shall be denied before the angels of GOD.

  • librtyship

Amen Amen! The Good Lord commands us to avoid evil! Leaving the Democratic Party is a very good way to avoid evil at its very worst!!

  • Sam

It is good to see the people from the black community speaking out. The democrat party is nothing but a den of commies, radicals, socialists and Marxists. We are better than that.

  • Sam

Do you know why we are the greatest country in the world, going 5,000 years ahead of any other civilization in only 200 years? It is because the Christian-Judeo culture holds the sanctity of life higher than any other. Listen to how the democrats push for abortion, assisted suicide, communism, homosexuality and all in the name of "fairness" and "tolerance". It is sickening.

  • Sam

People have the idea that if you live to glorify God, then you must be some kind of nut. We glorify God by living right and listening to His Word. I don't like all the porn, the gay agenda, the national debt, ignoring our Constitution, rewarding the losers, and bowing to other leaders. This does not honor anyone, least of all God.

I'll take Bishop E.W. Jackson over the phony race-baiting 'reverend' Jesse Jackson any old day.

I'm not a black bishop, maybe a white pawn, but I thank this heroic clergyman for standing tall and being counted. I only wish I can influence any democrat friends I have to do likewise. Wait. I can't I don't have any democrat friends. Don't like the smell, the lies, the corruption, the fraudulent president that they possess.

The Democrat party has always been about slavery. It is truly amazing how they have adopted the word liberal and twisted the meaning to represent freedom, but in actuality it is slavery.
Slaves to a govt run by elite masters. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. I'd rather stick to the Boss who does not change, and live by His Word.

  • dennis.

The bible says you will follow god or satin.Bishop Jackson is following god.Who are you following?

  • Mary Wood

The Mormon church, also known as LDS, real name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is APOLITICAL. One never has, doesn't, and never will hear advice from the pulpit about voting. That is an absolute.

    • Evermyrtle

Any group, political, or any other may have no interest in GOD, but any Christian in politics will turn to GOD for whatever he needs, wisdom, courage, anything and everything he/she needs from GOD. Right there 'apolitical' goes out of the window. If said political Christian does not go to GOD,every day, that does not make him apolitical but a fool.

I believe that governments in Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Greece, Egypt can well be considered "no interest in GOD." This will pertain only to humans, but GOD cannot be shut out. It all belongs to HIM. He is a little, "like the fly on the wall!" He is there, and eventually HE will let it be known that "HE IS THERE!!"

      • Mary Wood

Myrtle: The LDS church on Earth will never advise the president of the United States, neither will it advise any other political figure, nor will it tell any of its members or congregation which political party to join. They take it seriously the uniqueness of the individual, that the individual has a mind of sufficient intelligence to make those kind of life-altering decisions on their own. Furthermore, they take the admonition in the bible seriously:

Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

The latter activity to pray in secret to ask "thy Father" is not the same as a minister standing in the pulpit and telling people what political party to join. Don't you see the difference?

  • G. Macher

Black folk are social conservatives and always have been. I welcome them to the Republican Party.

All minorities, but especially black minorities should answer this call to throw off the shackles placed on your mind when the Socialists paired up with the Democrats to re-enslave the newly emancipated slaves. With a false facade of equality presented through a Socialist founded, funded organization-NAACP-that used a 'willing dupe' in person of W.E.E.B.DUBOIS, black seeking Social Justice, [disguised Marxism 'via' Religion] who as pied piper led freed slaves from southern plantation to Urban Plantation in a concrete jungle. Booker T. Washington pleas, "Don't go! Put your buckets down where you are, the wealth is in the land." fell on deaf ears, cascaded down fleeing backs as 'THEY' rushed UP NORTH to acceptance and equality. THEY are still waiting, except for the thousands who have begun the pilgrimage back south as UP NORTH violence becomes intolerable. Blacks who remained in the south, building schools, churches, establishing catering businesses, insurance businesses, becoming millionaires with hair care products developed especially for black Americans. Booker T. Washington's Workshop for Boys grew into today's prestigious Tuskegee Institute that produced the historic Tuskegee Airmen. W.E.E.B. DuBois, [reportedly] renounced his American citizen, died an embittered old man, in Paris France. So much for PC Democrat's Social Justice and the helping hand that goes with it. Black Americans need to take off the rose colored glasses. Face reality. After 4+ decades of Democratic assistance, black Americans have fewer educational opportunities, live with constant domestic[gang]violence with dependence increasing, not decreasing daily. Minority youth have been consistently -by design- robbed of their future lives [usually short, troubled [in and out of jail] end violently. Black Americans need to look at totalitarian states [think Syria] and the never ending misery. Honesty, brutally frank, if necessary must begin. Black Americans need to leave Democratic Party-to whom they are simply a means to an end. Good luck, God bless. Keep the faith and the conversation going.

  • Robert

Yes, both the holdouts should vacate, though not necessarily to the almost equally inept Republican side. In seriousness, democrats are becoming more intolerant every day, more dangerous. Too bad the radicals have taken over the party. Oh for a true statesman to come forward. But it is an elusive wish it seems. There are some good ones around but they've been blackballed I suppose. Christians are going to fight the good fight until Jesus comes, the true believers and followers of Christ. In this season of false prophets, be sure many will try to deceive you. Christ warned of this.

  • ONTIME

This BISHOP is a breath of fresh air after we had put up with RANTS of the IRREVERENT Jackson and not so SHARP TON. The Democ RATS have taken the Blacks for granted and have kept SLAVERY alive by holding them HOSTAGE to WELFARE and ENTITLEMENT. I say this man is bold and wonderful as a believer he is doing what Jesus would do-yes he is suggesting that democrats are promoting immorality-you know when politics goes against the Ten Commandments and the Bible and sides with muslims-it is time that politics is addressed on the pulpit

  • nina107

    Amen well said!

  • Evermyrtle

It is his duty as a man of GOD to lead people out of organizations that are anti-GOD, he is doing his duty when he does this. It does not take a lot of investigating to come to the conclusion that the Democrats are pushing anti-GOD laws and practices.

  • Evermyrtle

It is the duty of a minister to encourage GOD'S people to leave any organization that is pushing anti-GOD laws and practices.

    • Mary Wood

When it comes to political choices? It is yours and others opionion that the choices made by the Democrats are anti-God. They are politicians! That's what politicians do. God does not want to be on one side or another. The Chruch should not be on one side or another. The politicians and the leaders in the community, yes. It should have been a community leader making these avenues for the disenchanted Democrats. We in this country will never have peace if we keep antagonizing to the point of no return… that is what Satan wants and Satan doesn't care how he gets what he wants.

      • Evermyrtle

It is the minister's duty to work with people, offering leadership which he, as GOD'S representative, is qualified to do, wherever GOD leads him.. He is not a political worker but GOD'S representative. Everything that exists belongs to GOD because HE made the universe and everything in it. HE gave us rules to live by and as GOD'S representative he can reach into this evil thing called politics to guide, advise and do whatever he is led to do or say by GOD. Any politicians who thinks that politics is none of GOD'S business simply do not know GOD, and that what they are trying to rule is GOD'S business Anything that goes on in GOD'S universe, is HIS business.

How can any Christian say that GOD does not belong in politics since, as I have already said, the entire universe, wrapped up in a neat package belongs to HIM.WE cannot shove HIM out, no matter hard we try. Because it is an evil in this world, does not mean HE will not have a hand in it. Look how he handled Sodom and Gomorrah. Did He keep out of there??

        • Mary Wood

The democrat party is the dark side evil party they are using our tax dollars for abortion (killing God's children). They are cramming the homosexual agenda down our throats and forcing the agenda on the military. They are filling the courts with federal dictators in black robes that invent their own laws. The democrat dark side party is demoralizing and destroying our nation. Their leader Obama came out for homosexuals in the military, same sex marriages and had a homosexual sodomite party in the white house. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.
No true Christian should be a member of this dark side ungodly party.

Right on, pastor…. but perhaps you too, can change back to following Jesus the way He showedf us, and that includes following The 10 Commandments as Jesus The "I AM" gave to Adam and Moses as members of the Human Race. Read Gen-2, and Ex 20-8 and see the Law that pays RESPECT to God The Creator, which is a mark or sign for all who may call themselves as belonging to God and God being THEIR God. Any other day or too many days, is an insult to God…. which is WHY you all are in the "curse" boat of destruction (2nd, Law) until you repent and turn BACK to Him. Noah Listened and did, Moses listened and did the works of faith, what are YOU doing? – You cannot serve God and pope at the same time, so Choose your path, but don't lie about whom you obey! – IF and when Americans get the facts of Christianity straight, only Then will God see you in a favourable light… because only then the veil of darkness will have Lifted from your eyes and mind.

He is right. However, I don't believe the pulpit is the place to take a stand. That goes against the religion. However, as individuals we can talk about it and anyone who believes in God would not vote democratic who is trying to cut God out of the public domain.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Robert-Mead/100003763986165 Robert Mead

I can't see how a person could call themself a true Christian and embrace the Democrat's agenda – abortion, pure welfare, homosexuality, destruction of church policy (forcing to impede the free speech of pastor's to speak against homosexuality, who to vote for, who to hire), godlessness. Need I go on. Yet many Christians stand prooud to vote for such godlessness. Not that republicans are perfect. But that democrats are so so bad. Don't forget that everyone that stands before God as a true Christian will have to give an account for who he or she voted for!

Amen! President Obama, let God's people go! Pharaoh was keeping Moses and the Israelites not simply from going away, but going away to fulfill their obligations to God. Give it a read! At first Pharaoh said he would let them go and added, "Pray for me"! Obama is also acting quite Pharaoh-like in his disregard for innocent life. Let's pray for his daughters, that they "evolve" his thinking as they supposedly did regarding gay-so-called-marriage: Pharaoh's daughter scooped Moses out of the water, treasuring his life with love and care.
