Second, you assume he has some credible substance in his method that could stir up thinking. That depends on your perception of what thinking includes. Back in mediæval times, a comedian (motley fool) served as a legislative safety valve in a kingdom, a way that suggestions dangerous for others to make could be presented to the king. Modern comedians help moderate the effect of new ideas, and still help stop violent dissent in our nation. If a comedian is a nasty so-and-so, no-one considers it seriously but it does stir up thinking.]]></description>
