France to ban 'mother' and 'father' from official documents

France is set to ban the words "mother" and "father" from all official documents under controversial plans to legalise gay marriage.

The move, which has outraged Catholics, means only the word "parents" would be used in identical marriage ceremonies for all heterosexual and same-sex couples.

The draft law states that "marriage is a union of two people, of different or the same gender".

It says all references to "mothers and fathers" in the civil code – which enshrines French law – will be swapped for simply "parents".

The law would also give equal adoption rights to homosexual and heterosexual couples.

Justice Minister Christiane Taubira told France's Catholic newspaper La Croix: "Who is to say that a heterosexual couple will bring a child up better than a homosexual couple, that they will guarantee the best conditions for the child's development?"

  Too late Tom, Obama has already given his approval nationally for this policy, and liberal judges have already legislated from their bench, this policy into some state's laws, and where the people of some states have passed laws against same sex marriage, these same liberal judges have ruled those laws unConstitutional. The Pope Benedict XVI and the head of the Catholic Church in France, Cardinal Philippe Barbarin, should both proclaim that if President Francois Hollande's pledge in his manifesto to legalise gay marriage becomes a fact, that all of France's government will then be deemed evil for supporting what 'GOD the Father' defined as an 'Abomination' in the Bible from Leviticus: Ch.18 Vs.22 and Ch.20 Vs.13, and all legislaturers who voted for it will be 'Excommunicated'. Let not evil enter into the Churches of France!

  you do know that France is the most secular nation in the world. France is the birthplace of the enlightenment and started Europe bloody reign of terror when it completely remove God and religion from government. French politicians boast about their atheism and the only way to advance in French politics is to be an atheist. Pope Benedict XVI and Cardinal Philippe Barbarin only have authority inside the Catholic church.

    I know that Saint Bernadette and Joan of Arc were from France, and that there is a great battle between the good of GOD and the evil of Satan going on there, as well as all over the world. Jesus came to save many, but unfortunately not all, for some chosse not to be saved, by refusing to accept GOD's precepts and mercy. To each his own, but the Clergy need to take action instead of just giving lip service, for that's what GOD calls us all for, to walk the talk and take action in His name.

    Being 'Excommunicated' these legislaturers would be banned from attending 'Mass' and refused 'Holy Communion' and are supposed to be ostracized by the Catholic community. This would make them choose between what President Francois Hollande wants and their GOD, if they do beleive in a GOD.

      it is kind of hard to excommunicate someone using the courts to get a certificate of de-baptism from the Catholic church. over in France politicians do to the extremes to prove their atheism like here in America a politician tries to prove their Christianity. how can you excommunicate someone who never attends church in the first place? the younger politicians have never been baptized or attended Mass. the god of the French politician is the state.

      What is really intersting is that the "church" can't say whether or not one is going to heaven or hell. If anyone believes in Jesus Christ as their savior they are saved to enter heaven when they die and have eternal life with our Lord. If one is "excommunicated" by any church it doesn't mean they are not saved. Once one has beleived in Jesus Christ no person can declare them un-saved.

It's the consequence of Atheism and not acknowledging God as Creation. Read Romans 1. France is only a few years of US.

While you're at it visit Ezekiel 37-39. In 37 Israel is restored from the dead, as in the Death Camps in Germany. In 38 Israel is attacked by a coalition lead by Russia, Iran, and other Islamic countries. God intervenes in this attack killing every attacker and any in Russia.

This is brewing before one eyes. WSWS.org has an article about Russia getting ready for Israel's attack on Iran. This is prophesy fulfillment in gestation. We are certainly in the last days. Ponder on these things.
