Republicans trying to win over Jewish voters

Using billboards, television advertisements and finely honed voter lists, Republicans here and in other battleground states have intensified an effort to lure a small but potentially significant group of new or wavering voters from President Obama.

Focused on South Florida, Ohio and Nevada, the Republican Jewish Coalition, backed mostly by the casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, a Zionist, has begun spending $6.5 million on an air-and-ground strategy to reach Jewish voters who may view Mr. Obama as unreliable on the question of Israel’s security. Jewish voters, who generally vote for Democrats in big numbers, overwhelmingly supported Mr. Obama in 2008, giving him 78 percent of their vote, according to exit polls conducted by Edison/Mitofsky.

In Florida, where the largest share of the $6.5 million is being spent, one of the group’s most visible messages is along Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike, including in Boca Raton and in Broward County, areas with large Jewish populations. A series of red-and-blue billboards lament: “Obama … Oy Vey!!” Then ask, “Had enough?”

Last week, the coalition began the first in a series of “buyer’s remorse” television ads featuring a Jewish voter concerned about Israel and the economy who declared that he would not vote for Mr. Obama this time around.

There are somethings I just don't understand, this is one of them. The way the administration has treated Israel leaves me with wondering why Jews people would continue to support Obama. The things coming to mind are: they want to see Israel go away also! It can't be loyalty or being steeped on tradition or the birth place of the religion. Has there been such a generational change that there is an indifference to what happens fellow Jews. Or could it be its happening to them, and I'm not directly affected. This is one of those issue where history is being ignored, so it bound to be repeated. This administration has advanced every group in the middle east that literally hates Jewish people and the Jewish State. What makes you think that another term with this President will make things change? if anything it will intensify. Do some research before you vote!

Those promises will come to pass when Jesus Christ reigns on earth on the Throne of David during the Millennium.

      I actually believe this verse talks about the "Replacement Theology." In other words, Christians or rather Roman Catholics and other apostate Christians who believe that God rejected the Jews for the execution of Jesus and redirecting His love and blessings to the Christian Church.
      
      The fulfillment of Ezekiel 37 in 1948 has provided a different perspective and understanding of the eschatology, but it's been difficult for the Caths to back Paddle ta doctrine.

        I understand where you are coming from but we believe that the Church is not spiritual Israel. God is not finished with His chosen people;
        Israel. When Israel was destroyed in AD
        70 they had been warned that when they hear the gospel given in a foreign
        language (on the Day of Pentecost) as in Isaiah that they will be destroyed and
        scattered all over the world (5th cycle of discipline as they were many times
        in the OT) until they will be re-gathered from those who live through the Tribulation and go into the millennium during the Reign of Christ on earth.
        Not re-gathered by man's effort as in 1948.

        We do disagree here, Evermytle, since I believe the Bible teaches that Christ will gather them at His 2nd Advent at the end of the Tribulation and bring them into the Millennium. Man cannot do what the Lord Jesus Christ will do with His people. Yes, man has done a lot to improve the land of Israel but it is nothing compared to what Christ will do when He returns. Yes, thousands of Jews have returned to Israel and there will be 144,000 Jews who will be the first ones to believe that Jesus Christ is their Messiah and will evangelize the rest of the world. Don't let what is happening in Israel today by man be what Jesus Christ will do. Satan will fool many in the last days as well as during the Tribulation. Jesus taught in Matthew a lot of information regarding instructions for the Tribulation saints. They will know when to flee to the mountains and others when to fight. Satan's warriors will try to get them to come down from the mountains but if they do they will be killed, etc. I know that people believe that 1948 was a key turning point for Israel but it is God's timing; not man's.

If that is all we have to disagree about we are in pretty good shape, Usually I am in the habit of reading and studying HIS WORD and comparing notes with noted well read evangelists, even though I know that we so often think we have the last word on the subject. I don't really worry a lot about the things that I do not understand.because HE will give me all that I need to know to live in HIS WORD and I will allow the world to take care of comparing the different opinions, because GOD will not be allowed to do so.That is why HE will be coming soon to claim HIS people.
        
        I do have a lot of faith in Jack Van Impe , John Hagee and several other evangelists but there is so much that the mere human does not understand about His WORD. HIS WORD says that we see not as through a glass darkly,now but then we will see face to face. I will let it go at that because I know without a shadow of doubt that HE will give the wisdom and knowledge that I need to live for HIM. I will pass my opinion about HIS WORD about what I am sure of, but I do not argue it, because I know there are so many different opinions about so my different issues, and there is so much that I do not know.

        You are right; it does not matter whether we agree or not. The main issue is that we know the Lord as our savior and continue to grow in grace and knowledge of Him on a daily basis. I have heard Jack Van Impe and John Hagee and in MY opinion they exaggerate eschatology too much that is not based on scripture. They are well known and I am sure they have many followers. I believe we should be very careful that we are in fellowship when we read or hear the Word of God so the Holy Spirit can give us perception so we can metabolize it and apply it to our daily lives. So we stay in touch with God as we study His Word. I too am very much aware of what I don't know and crave to learn more. God's grace shines upon you.

  I got into a discussion with a young Jewish man who tried every which way he could to bait me and get into a real argument. I came away from that understanding why so many of them are being deceived and fooled by Obama. He told me that rich Jews are inviting Obama into their homes. He tells them that he has Israel's back and he's doing more for Israel than any president ever has. In other words, he tells them everything they want to hear, they eat it up, and they fill his greedy pockets with money. They are blind to the fact that conservative Christians are their best friends and Obama is lying to them. He's using them. I did not take his bait, but answered every accusation and question patiently. But this young man's loyalties, and those of his fellow liberal Jews, are completely upside down. They do love Israel, but they're confused politically. Please pray for them.
