Ex-homosexual sues CA over 'gay-cure' ban

A college student who claims he once had same-sex attractions but became heterosexual after conversion therapy has filed a lawsuit against California, which has enacted a law that bans so-called "gay cures" for minors.

The lawsuit, also joined as plaintiffs by two therapists who have used the treatments with patients, alleges that the law banning the therapy intrudes on First Amendment protections of free speech, privacy and freedom of religion.

The student, Aaron Blitzer, who is studying to be a therapist in that field, said the law would prevent him from pursuing his career, according to court papers filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.

The lawsuit names as defendants California Gov. Jerry Brown, as well as 21other state officials, including members of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and the California Medical Board.

    Daves, you are an utter ass. A goodly number of so-called homosexuals are not really hopmosexual at all. They have been 'seduced" by the movement lying to them. In actual fact they turn out to be, not only " straight as an arrow" but become some of the most vocal critics of the homosexual movement. I know, I have a good friend who was trapped for some time by this nefarious movement.

      Romans 1:27 and 28 connected with Romans 10:9 and 10 is the dividing line between those God judges to be the genuiine article and those who are only living the lifestyle –
      Romans 1:27 and 28 make it clear that if a person is involved in such a nasty lifestyle but still desires to retain knowledge of God, they are not homosexuals.
      The Gospel is the dividing line, and if we who claim to be Christians desire to see homosexuality cured and eradicated from our public life, then we need to get off our backsides and hit the streets with the Gospel – homosexuality is only one manifestation of our having fallen short of "The Great Commission" of Matthew 28.
      As much as the gay lobby would like to shut down Christianity altogether, the Gospel being the best cure for all sin, evil and destructive spiritual choices, the more they try the less success they will have. God's arm is not shortened by those who mock him and mock the natural order of His creation, Romans 1:18-20.

While I think the ban is wrong and ought to be overturned, this does bring up another issue – that being churches/ministries charging fees for something they ought to do for "free".
So many churches/ministries get into problems when they try to sell their "services". I don't see anywhere in the Bible where Christians can charge a fee for ministering to anyone. The church is NOT a business. We ought to minister whether or not we get pay for it.
Yes, the workman is worthy of his hire, but the pay is to come voluntarily through the offering plate.

  You are absolutely right. God gives in grace and so should the churches through the offering given. Our church never charges for any materials or recordings or helps of any kind and never asks for money; ever, and God has always supplied our needs. We give according to 2 Corinthians 9:7.

The " Gay Lobby " will seek a like minded judge to hear the case and in California, that will be easy. Many homosexuals can be " exorcised " of their demons and the gay movement knows this and will fight to keep their numbers high. They are kind of like cancer cells.

At times we every person have a feeling that rs anti-GOD feelings. We are weak sinners even though we are Christian.Sometimes we have feelings of anger, hate, greed, selfishness, sexual related feelings. Do we give in to please Satan?? Yes, we do occasionally but we do not make it a big thing in our lives. We control it with the help of GOD. To say we are born to commit these crimes against GOD is either compete ignorance or we are out right lying. Our character is too weak to fight against such evil and that means we are lost to GOD until we decide to control the short comings or to let it control us . We do have a choice that we can make. To deny a person therapy to get them out of a lifestyle they find themselves in is paramount to denying a person medical help for a situation which can be cured. It is not just wrong, it is uncontainable. The reason why this treatment is frowned on by those who support the homosexual movement is because they claim that it is an incurable condition. Should this treatment work, as did the treatment offered by Anita Briant before the movement had her removed from public view, they would not have the leverage they need to indoctrinate the American people that they are in need of special treatment by the people.

I stand with the two therapists and the student. May they win and this go to the Supreme Court which can insure that anyone who wants treatment for a condition can have that treatment available and not prevented by some government action.

It is amaizing that only homosexuals deserve to have their toughts and beliefs pushed forward. It seems that they feel it is only their opinion that matters. Therefore, it is only their freedom of speech that can be infringed upon or any other Constitutional freedoms they choose to use.
It seems that liberals only believe their rights can be infringed on especially if they can be the loudest and most intimidating voice in the discussion. It is time that the majority of the country starts pushing back against these bully's. Unfortunately, these bully's seem to have all of the money! Maybe we can win a few battles to encourage others to fight (not physically) back and thus force the bully's to realize we no longer will allow their bullying!!

Never heard a fag claim he was born that way until after
such claims where publicized. My baby brother was molested in his youth and suddenly
became a fag. Spoke of it as being a choice, late 70’s. Baby brother died in
87.

When speaking on this issue with my 5 other siblings they
have tried to shut me up by pointing out what they think I never knew. “Alan
was a fag”, they would say. I replied, yes I knew that shortly after he entered
the fifth grade.

Shocked to discover that I knew at least five years before
any of them they would ask, how did you find out? Answer; Alan asked me to help
him with a bully in his class. When the bully and his two friends were about to
see if they can take me down, Alan suddenly changed his mind seemingly because
of something the bully said. Crying and with all his might Alan was pushing me
and begging me to forget it.

The bully tricked Alan into a molester’s home and instead of
telling, Alan enlisted some muscle to enact revenge. But the bully would tell
so Alan changed his mind. After a few days of withdrawal and rage Alan became
the easy going funny guy. My knowledge of what happened is why Alan instructed
you to hide it from me.

Of course the second question is “Why have you never said
anything about it?” Answer; I cannot prove it, Alan would deny it and put me
out of his life. Alan’s great appreciation for me was for my silence and my
expressed views on the subject of homosexuality were never challenged by Alan
unlike the rest of you. Those views were meant for everyone, especially Alan.

Alan really could not stand having me around, we both knew
he was putting up a front. Not just for public view but to keep his secrete. So
far every critic of my story sound just like my baby brother. Which does leave
me wondering which ones are my baby brother and which ones are just regurgitating.

Because all science proves that out of the same sex population
less than 1% has undeniable physical reasons for their actions. The findings of
pro-homosexual science are childish at best. An adult male masturbating using an
8 month old child surely has an effect on the adult male though not any effect
on the adult male’s ability to hammer a nail. And the latter is given as proof
that it has no effect on the 8 month old child.

As a child I was pressured by friends and adults to try/except
homosexual acts. Did not have a problem excepting it but this always proved to
be a window for pressuring me to engage in homosexual acts. Now people want a controlling
force to pressure children into accepting same sex acts. Complete with
punishment if they even make noticeable body language that rejects the sight,
sound and speech of same sex acts.
