King's College crisis

by Warren Cole Smith, WORLD Magazine

About 2,000 people gathered on Sept. 28 at First Baptist North in Spartanburg, S.C., to hear high-profile Christians speak on defending the faith and applying a Christian worldview to their lives. Among the speakers: Eric Metaxas, Josh McDowell, and—keynote speaker for the evening—best-selling author, filmmaker, and Christian college president Dinesh D’Souza.

D’Souza’s speech earned him a standing ovation and a long line at the book-signing table immediately afterward. Although D’Souza has been married for 20 years to his wife, Dixie, in South Carolina he was with a young woman, Denise Odie Joseph II, and introduced her to at least three people as his fiancée…

The next day another conference organizer, Alex McFarland, distressed by D’Souza’s behavior, confronted him in a telephone conversation. D’Souza admitted he shared a room with his fiancée but said “nothing happened.” When I called D’Souza, he confirmed that he was indeed engaged to Joseph, but did not explain how he could be engaged to one woman while still married to another. When asked when he had filed for divorce from his wife, Dixie, D’Souza answered, “Recently.”

Seems people will never learn. Check out some of our OT heros from Abraham to King David, etc. Yet there is forgiveness for all who recognize their sin, confess and through the power of the Holy Spirit receive forgiveness. Read Psalm 51 and pray that D'Souza does the same.

    Disgusting!!

    • Robert30

Just like john adams…the real one. Another of the founding fathers and full fledged hypocrites.

  • Scirel

Oh my. The liberals are going to have a field day with this one! And I thought Biden was bad…

    • Robert30

You see we don't hide behind bibles and supposed laws pushed on humans by some esoteric god. We don't have to make excuses we accept people for what they are but not your criminal hypocrites.

      • edc

If you accepted people for what they are you would not be always denigrating Chritians and our God. We are not asking you to accept us, we cannot save you. We only ask that you accept the Lord Jesus as your Savior. We do care about your soul.

This something that I av said, so many times: you are not a Christian just because you say you are a Christian. I could say I am a car, the car can run and I can run, we both of us cane make noise, but that does not make me a car. He may do a little reading the WORD and preaching the WORD, but unless he strives in every area of his life to follow GOD he fails as a Christian. Deliberate sin is very offensive to GOD, means we don't care about HIS rules.

Those who cast the biggest stones always seem to be fundamentalist celebrities. They literally get away with murder and mayhem. No one holds them to any standard much less those they pretend to uphold and honor.
When are you people going to wake up and realize your heroes are all frauds.
D'Sousa is just one on many. Yet it was he who produced that stupid movie made up of lies 2016.
This guy is known to have a number of mistresses and sordid affairs. Yet you honor him as he pushes the best president we have had in a long time around like a tennis ball.
You are all hypocrites and wish to apply your fearful lives upon normal people.
    It won't work any longer.

ROBERT, IF YOU ARE THE PROUD PEDOPHILE AND HOMOSEXUAL THAT YOU CLAIM TO BE, WOULD YOU MIND TELL US WHY YOU ARE HERE?

    • LouiseCA

Ah, we wish we could all be perfect and brilliant like you are..

GOSSIP IS A SIN – speaking it or writing it.

I devoured and recommended his book, and loved his movie, so the following is not partisan. Question: If Obama was found romancing a women besides his wife, Michelle, would you want the news services to bury the story? Really? Would you honestly approve of that?
Character matters and leaders must be "above reproach." World calls them like it sees them, and though it is SO unfortunate that the truth tarnished one of our champions at this very inopportune time, the truth still needs to be told. Most of the information in the World article was not secret or salacious. Whether or not they were sleeping together, D'Souza was running around the country with this woman introducing her as his fiancée while still legally married to another woman. If D'Souza was a member of a sound, Biblically functioning church, he would by this time have been confronted and disciplined. If he is not a member of such a church and/or is still openly choosing to behave in this way (possibly in spite of church discipline), he's earned whatever grief he gets. I'm REALLY sorry about this. I think the world of the man, but if the rules don't apply to all of us then there should be no rules at all.

While I do personally think that he should have waited until his divorce was actually final before introducing his fiancee, I still find these articles on this matter as nothing more than gossip and extremely distasteful for Christian publications. If it bothers the editors of World Mag and WND and Zonica that much, make an appointment with Dinesh to meet with him personally and discuss the situation. Smearing him publicly in this manner is disgusting and causing division in the Body.

Then John the Baptist shouldn't have called down Herod for having his brother's wife. Jesus said that what you do in secret will be shouted from the house tops. Repeating salacious facts about another for personal pleasure is a sin, but drawing the public's attention to leaders' PUBLIC sins is faithful service.
