Ann Romney defends Mitt on 'The View'

Whoopi Goldberg barely let Ann Romney settle into her seat on ABC's "The View" before pouncing on the first lady hopeful, asking why Mitt Romney didn't serve in Vietnam and if the couple is prepared to console families of fallen soldiers if voted into the White House.

Unlike a recent joint appearance on the show by President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama during which questioning ranged from how romantic is the president to the couple's anniversary, the show's five hosts skipped the softball questions and got right into red meat — including military service, abortion and the Romneys' Mormon faith.

When the Obamas' appearance aired on Sept. 25, the panel stuck to questions about the First Couple's 20th wedding anniversary and whether or not President Obama is "romantic," though they did query Obama lightly about the murder of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens, which the president declined to characterize at the time as an act of terrorism.

And by the way, if they had a decent mix of liberal and conservative hosts I might take them seriously. The biggest reason they do fairly well is the same as shock jocks on the radio, they say some of the stupidist things!

  Not all of them, most, yes. I believe Ms. Hasselback is the token conservative. It would still not be so bad if they could manage to park their incredible egos and editorializing at the door. They could then do a decent job of providing information, as it is, they have little or no credibility and I avoid the show.

When asked if Romney would be prepared to console families of deceased soldiers, since Romney never served in the military, Mrs. Romney should have come back with "Obama does it and he never served in ANY military nor the mission field, so I don't see how that should affect Mitt or I any differently except that our whole family has served in missions". LOL! That would have been a blast in the face.

        I have a novel idea, he either is not a citizen and steps down immediately or he explains why he is so against the military that the deaths in Fort Hood are classified under "work place violnece" when it was an act of terrorism!
        Don't call military personnel fools or any other derogartory thing! Because of the military you have the right and freedom to be able to express your views. Oops, that's right you can say what you want about them or call them "fools" because of their service. You should thank them, if it weren't for the military we could be part of the Japanese Empire or part of a Hitler or Moscow controlled state! Ever thought of it like that? Are all of the individuals in the military good – no. Are all of the people you meet walking down the street good – no. Are all of the people who are police officers or fire fighters good – no. People are people with faults and flaws, isn't it amazing!

I sometimes wonder why Romney's wife even bothered to appear on the"View". The women on that show are rabid liberals, except for one, and they were determined to make her and Romney look bad. As the wife of a possible president, she could decline such offers and promote her husband on conservative shows only. After all, didn't Michelle Obama go to a show friendly to her husband? She would not go on FOX, because she does not like tough questions either, but I can tell you from having watched all the networks over the years,…..F0X would have treated Michelle better and with more respect than the "View" treated Mrs. Romney.

The ladies of the View really slapped that old Moromney broad upside her fat face.
They really new how to put her in her place. What an arrogant old broad. One would think she would feel really bad telling all those lies.
None of her kids served but her husband has supported all the wars. Why? They make loads of money each time a bullet is shot. Her husband was on a mission. What a laugh he got a deferment just like the rest of the conservatives for going to France. Whilst there he was given a DUI for his participation in an accident and killing a woman while drunk. He had to pay a huge fine and was thrown out of France, in fact, his father had to come and get him and sign an agreement that his son nor non of his family would ever be allowed in France again.
So much for this JACK mormon. Ask him about it. You won't get an answer as Moromney has a
a bad case of Moromnesia. He can't remember.
That is why when recently he tried to enter France he was boohooed back to his plan and was forced to leave. You really want this arrogant couple in the Whitehouse or any office. He NOT what this nation needs.
For those of you on Medicare don't worry too much you won't have it. Remember how Bush gave you the donut hole? You will have much more like this as well as no Medicare and a voucher to try and get your medical insurance…sure…there will be none for those of you with pre-existing conditions. Social Security is the prime target of Crying Ryan. He has tried for years to get rid of it.
Just remember YOU paid for it. You aren't being given anything free. It is your money.

  The sad story is that he changes the speech on abortion depending on the crowd. What he seems to forget is that all of it is on video and can be seen.
  He also decries the use of fertility treatments such as In Vitro fertilization yet each of his sons had their wives undergo such procedures to produce the needed grandchildren. But he doesn't want you to have it.
  Uphold women's rights. They will have them one way or another.

It doesn't even register at truthorfiction.com or a google search. And it was another person driving drunk who killed his passenger in France.
