Santa Monica nativity display goes to court

Damon Vix didn't have to go to court to push Christmas out of the city of Santa Monica. He just joined the festivities.

The atheist's anti-God message alongside a life-sized nativity display in a park overlooking the beach ignited a debate that burned brighter than any Christmas candle.

Santa Monica officials snuffed the city's holiday tradition this year rather than referee the religious rumble, prompting churches that have set up a 14-scene Christian diorama for decades to sue over freedom of speech violations. Their attorney will ask a federal judge Monday to resurrect the depiction of Jesus' birth, while the city aims to eject the case.

"It's a sad, sad commentary on the attitudes of the day that a nearly 60-year-old Christmas tradition is now having to hunt for a home, something like our savior had to hunt for a place to be born because the world was not interested," said Hunter Jameson, head of the nonprofit Santa Monica Nativity Scene Committee that is suing.

  the United Supreme Court ruled that Atheism is a religion of unbelief because an atheist wanted to declared conscientious objected when he was drafted to fight in a war. they ruled that atheism meet all the requirement to meet the definition of religion in the dictionary.

I went to Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Santa Monica in the 1970's. My dad and aunt were baptized there. My parents were married there and my sister and I were baptized there and we sang in the choir that my aunt directed. …Wonderful memories. Stand strong Santa Monica! If someone doesn't like your Nativity, then just tell them not to look.

Christmas is derived from pagan sources. Does anyone really believe Father God accepts and appreciates those that claim to believe in Him and His Son by remaking pagan traditions into, so called, Christian holidays?
Seriously, ask yourself that question or better yet ask Father God in the Name of His Son that question.
All of these Christian Holidays came out of Babylon, the apostate Roman Catholic Church that is.

Hate of JESUS CHRIST is at an all time high. This is the only one who has ever died for our sins, shed every drop HIS BLOOD before HE died is the most hated one ever in this world. I can not figure how the world is still turning, I can not figure why GOD has not zapped us,.The scenes are just lying there not bothering anybody, but anti-CHRIST people want them moved, WHY?

HIS WORD tells us that this is all coming in the end days, and tells us what HE is going to do, but HE does not tell usexactly when HE will do it.

I always enjoy seeing the Nativity scenes during the Christmas season but we don't need them to worship the Lord Jesus Christ and have a relationship with Him. The sad part is that we the people have allowed Atheist to take control of our Christian way of life in all areas where we never had these problems maybe only 20 years ago. We have failed in our glorification of Jesus Christ; our main reason why we are here until we meet Him face to face.

A judge is in the perfect position to inform those who have rejected the salvation of Jesus Christ have chosen to spend eternity in HE!!!

How ever many of the judges believe they are progressive and and have chosen the same path..
