In the past decade, atheists have developed into intellectual rock stars in their Big Banged-Up space where God never died because he never was.

Sam Harris (“The End of Faith”), Richard Dawkins (“The God Delusion”), Christopher Hitchens (“God Is Not Great”) and, most recently, Stephen Hawking (“The Grand Design”) — these are among the best-known anti-Christian soldiers on a crusade for Godless explanations of scientific laws and life’s mysteries.

Some four years ago, Dinesh D’Souza, a best-selling conservative author who has lived in Rancho Santa Fe since 1999, observed that Hitchens, a British journalist with a rapier wit, was making mincemeat of theologians in “God debates.”
