Many people complain about problems with bad language, sex and excessive violence in films today. But few people realize the deeper thematic problems that are embedded in the movies their children watch — even, believe it or not, comparatively clean G-rated films.

Many “clean” films mock fatherhood, encourage rebellion, and portray immorality as glamorous. Yet few bat an eye.

The fact is people will watch films. They’ll watch to be entertained, to enjoy that tasty blend of intelligent distraction combined with inspiration through a story where the audience vicariously overcomes challenges through the life of a film’s character.

The question is “What films will they watch?” Put simply, they’ll either watch films that oppose our American Christian values or they will watch films that support them.
