The Council of Churches of Malaysia (CCM) and the Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM) will meet on Tuesday to discuss the issue of the Bahasa Malaysia Bible currently impounded in Kuching and Port Klang.

A source said the meeting would decide on the course of action, including accepting or rejecting the Government’s offer of replacing the stamped words “For Christians Only” and serial numbers with just the words “For Christianity”.

The source said they were surprised that another Christian group had acted independently on the matter without the knowledge of either the CCM or the CFM.

The other group, calling itself the Coalition of Malaysian Christians (COMC), lodged a police report yesterday against the Government and the Home Ministry over the stamping (deemed as defacement) of the Bahasa Malaysia Bibles.
